This is the kind of thing that President Trump needs to know about and he needs to do whatever is necessary to defund this university. This is an unAmerican and this is hate speech. It must be stopped.

President Trump is well aware of this issue, and has recruited civil-rights attorney, Leo Terrell, to head up a DoJ taskforce focused on antisemitism in education. He is going to have his hand so far up the ass is the ivies and the UCs, that they'll be able to see his fingers come out the other end. This cannot happen fast enough for me. One interesting question is whether he'll go after all the protestors who terrorized Jewish students and faculty during the Biden administration. Between that and cutting off federal aid to institutions that harbor antisemites, I hope the tide turns.

Thank you for this information. I am delighted to hear that president is well aware of this. I hope that he also goes after the students that have caused so much trouble and are antisemitic. They have been brainwashed which oughta be a federal felony. I know that he said that if the student was a foreign student they would be sent home. I look forward to hearing more about how this proceeds to clean up our universities.

Well done, but very concerning. Just one comment on this: ". . . to ensure that when an actually genocidal movement attacks the Jews, the Jews are not permitted to respond, not permitted to remove the genocidal threat literally from their midst, not permitted to rescue their hostages,..." We can only be restrained by our own thoughts. We do not need anyone's permission to fight back.

I agree but see it as we have no power to do the job until now. Israel needs a righteous leader from a different land who rules from Egypt to India. Esther was a Jew who laid her life on the line to reveal the evil. But her husband, the righteous gentile powerful king was the one who had the power to say, “kill the ones who want to kill you.” Trump said it. The world heard. And now is the time. America will be there beside Israel. Flatten Gaza then we can raise sheep and lie down on the beach…Zephaniah 2. Just saying…with Purim around the corner…

I've known this would happen for decades.

Sad to say that many of the Jewish academics in these institutions of higher learning were the ones peddling the Marxist inspired interpretation of the Arab Israeli conflict.

I didn't get a chance to see it, please explain. Maybe we can get a conversation out of it.

If it is said, then it surely isn't said enough, how much of the current global anti-Israel ideology has it's roots in the efforts and ideology of Jewish academics, rabbis, media personalities.

Bob Goldberg in another article mentioned the names Rabbi Donniel Hartman and Bernard-Henri Lévy.

I hadn't heard of those individuals, but you can take your pick. Zionism was certainly not mainstream in my lived experience growing up in 80s and 90s North America; it was all the Marxist influenced, popular culture curated ideas. Of course Michael Moore was popular with the western Jews when I visited a kibbutz in 2009.

If the world were to actually give the Jews some breathing room to exist for a moment, what do the Jewish people have, ideologically, to offer up for their own existence.

Just look even at many of the older hostages and murder victims from the Oct 7 attack. Even they were so called peace activists peddling anti-Israel ideas right up until the army finally failed to protect them and they got a first hand look at where all those ideas are headed without the billions spent on protecting them.

Dear Napoca, thank you. Some of the worst critics of Israel are sometimes Jewish scholars. I don’t understand, quite frankly. But aren’t they subject to the same propaganda the rest of us are?

I’m a liberal Democrat.

The far-left is as alien to me as maga. I love the Jewish people. The Jewish people are the minority that must be protected. If I see anyone I perceive as antisemitic, I react too quickly at times. You are not an antisemite.

That’s where knee-jerk reaction gets people like me, although I absolutely mean well.

Until 10/7/2023 I liked Michael Moore. Don’t any of these people ever study Islam? The Palestinians who live so close to Israelis are Islamic terrorists. Their very ideology is terror. It’s in all of their sacred texts. Anyone who is confused about who is to blame for 10/7/2023 is too far out there for me to relate to. I’ve read reports that the Bibas children were killed with the bare hands of their captors. These are monsters.

I’m under extreme stress from watching my own USA 🇺🇸 fall to Russia and China. I’m going to have to hit the streets in the Deep South where I live. That should be interesting. Never marched in protest in my life. There is a terrible economic recession that is coming for Americans.

Hi Julie. The Jewish academics have been preoccupied with the idea of rejecting the concept of nationalities for a long time. I won't waste too much time in this reply for the reasons, suffice to say that the situation has been that way for a long time.

Even the apostle Paul was higly motivated by the idea of there being no more division between nationalities; for Paul it was because we were all equal under sin and Christ, for Marx it was because we were all equal under the oppressive weight of imposed nationalities and the consequentially imposed role forced upon us in the economy.

I always knew Michael Moore was a charlatan. It is an unfortunate silver lining to this Israel-Hamas war that the war has revealed what frauds many of these personalities long present in the popular culture of NA really are.

I remember seeing Gabor Mate soon after the Hamas attack in which he justified the attack because of supposed massacres of the Palestinian Arabs in the 1940s. Imagine if the world worked that way? There were 14 million German refugees after WW2, up to 2 million were murdered according to the German government. By that logic I suppose many multiple times the Hamas invasion can be perpetrated upon those East Europe countries today who were involved back in the 1940s in the murder of Germans.

Some new themes you might want to reckon with: All men are not brothers. National differences exist, were created by God, and cannot be destroyed.

Look only at the ground you walk on. You mentioned the Deep South in the USA. What languages were spoken where you plan to march today back in the 1700s or 1600s? Are any of those nations alive today? How relevant are their national languages and cultures today? How do you feel about that and how do they feel about that?

The very ground we walk on is by default an us and them.

I believe in mercy, human rights, cooperation over conflict, but I also believe in the Weber definition of the State: "As a human community that (successfully) claims the monopoly of the legitimate use of physical force within a given territory.”

I reject those leftists that reject the notion of nationalities.

Extreme times such as the current times, when the truth of what people truly are is forced to the surface, show what charlatans these people truly are.

You are obviously highly educated. You could teach me many things. Thank you for your advice and input. I like you very much.

On a side note, I paid for a subscription to Michael Moore for one month just so I could comment. It was shortly after 10/7. It was immensely gratifying.

Sam Harris is of course a famous atheist. He was the first person I turned to after 10/7. He previously did not like the idea of a Jewish state any more than the late Christopher Hitchens. However, after the 10/7 pogrom he believes that the Jewish state must exist. The world’s reaction told us the ugly truth.

At one time I listened to an offbeat comedian named David Feldman. I caught his podcast. I swear to you the bodies in Israel were not cold before this Jewish man absolutely trashed Israel and everything it stands for. He even stated many times that we should all DONATE MONEY TO RASHIDA TLAIB’s political campaign.

Boy did I let him have it. I’ve severed ties with all those people. I support and donate to many Jewish causes. I’m a human being first.

Hi Julie. Thank you for the compliments. I googled some of those names you mentioned for a bit of background information on them.

I am not highly educated. I am a certified arborist. I did some welding in night college, a semester of woodworking and cabinetry, and I practice being an auto mechanic on my own trucks and cars as the need arises.

I'm Jewish. I grew up among non-religious Jews. I was never even aware of the concept of a Jewish nationality. I was told that Judaism was a religion. These Jews were highly anti-nationalistic. They believed that nationalities must disappear as an intrinsic part of "progress." They believed that nationalities would disappear inevitably in the same way that any primitive belief system disappears with education, technology, and modernity.

It was the non-Jewish kids at school who by their attitudes and behaviours led me to conclude on my own that the Jews were part of a nation group. The other kids were generally patriotic for their mother culture, catagorized people by their national heritage, saw the Jews as an other group, and it led me to examine the issue. The moment I saw that Yiddish was written in Hebrew characters I realized that the Jewish people were themselves a nationality.

The Jews of ancient Judaea were actually quite a global cosmopolitan group. Many spoke Greek, Aramaic, and Hebrew. Many Jews in those days were culturally Hellenistic and were not particularly concerned with the Hebrew destiny of the Jewish people.

On the other hand, there was always another demographic among the Jews who sought to retain the authentic Jewish traditions and language. The dynamic was not unlike many other national narratives that play out around the world.

That Hebrew demographic which sought to retain the old ways and the Hebrew language is the main reason there is a Jewish country. It's not the Holocaust, Oct 7, or any other reason.

The anti-national Jewish world view is constructed around the universalist idea that nationalities must disappear automatically with "progess." They are deeply offended by the Jews who are stubbornly maintaining the national idea.

Indeed the Reform Judaism Pittsburgh Platform of 1885 stated, " We consider ourselves no longer a nation, but a religious community..."

There is an ideological chasm in the Jewish community that is rarely if ever mentioned. It is a battle between those who no longer believe the Jewish people should constitute a nation and those who do.

Furthermore, it's important to take note that these two communities are not completely estranged from one another. There is a gradient of belief between the two poles of these two ideas. Many Jewish people may not even be aware of how much of one idea and how much of the other colors their worldview.

To recap, a part of the Jewish people have declared the entire Jewish people a non-entity and that part is deeply offended that the other part of the Jewish people stubbornly clings to the national idea and is determined to exist as a nation group.

The most sickening hate speech. We appear to be back in Europe 1939

Here in the UK we used to be an inclusive society. I come from London - East End - where Jews came to live - late 19th, early 20th century. We always knew people came from different countries and for the most part they were embraced - hard working people who built lives & businesses and prospered.

Where are we now - surrounded by Jihaddists !

Informative articles like this are important, they essentially preach to the choir. This college and other colleges that participate in these events need to pay a price for these events. Like loosing funds and attendance. Is there an arm of this group working to make that happen? The solution to this isn’t complicated. Just need to make all colleges do what they are supposed to do, make them places where all points of view can be expressed in a safe environment. Students in college should be intellectually uncomfortable and physically safe!!

Well let me give you my daily routine. Keep in mind that i accept i am in a bubble with respect to my world view. After i wake up i sit down and drink the coffee my wife has made for me. Its good and starts the wheels turning. She then asks whats the news. Keep in Mind she is much smarter than me. To which i reply that Mr Andrew is saying that anti semitism is out of control in academia. Go on she says. Well this is not a good thing. Why she asks. I am a little surprised by her questions. Well some say that its in academia ideas are developed and young minds are influenced. Is this something to do with woke or DEI. No i reply. Ok so get on with it. Well we have all these young min ds being influenced by ideaology. In this case anti semitism. You mean words and actions against Jewish people. Yes i guess. So how is articles by mr Andrew going to change anything if he writes on substacks like this one. You know ... talking to people like us who are in his bubble and will agree with him? Good point i reply. I mean this approach only feels like victimhood development.. like what the Muslims do all the time and where has it got them. This basically took thd wind out of my sails. So what should we do about anti semitism in academia i asked. Ignore it she replied. Certainly at this time with that war going on. People whohave that opinion (anti semitic) are not going to change their opinion when we have this hi profile event in play every day on our our news sources

So just do nothing i ask. Oh no. Just tell them Israel will win. Everywhere. Just that? Yes.it will change the narrative from defence to offence. Develop respect. Are you sure ? Well its bdtter than doing whats happenning now. Thats getting us no where.

The best way to visualize how absolutely racist and insane the campus protests are, one only needs to change the context.

Imagine it within the context of (god forbid) anti-black protests with the same hypocritical plausible deniability baked in:

White kids in masks running around university campuses with flaming crosses and shouting "globalize the lynching trees"

Or waving Confederate flags and saying "from Virgina to Florida, the South will be free."

Or insisting on storming every Black History class and shouting white power slogans to intimidate students, while insisting that white professors only must teach the history of the South.

And so on...

Once you swap the context, it's easier for others to see how these protests are more like Hitler Youth protests in the 1930s than like anti-Vietnam protests in the 1960s (which by the way were peaceful... Not fanatic and violent)...
