Our universities need to stop all funding from Islamic nations.

Gaza needs to be carpet bombed every week until every Hamas vermin is turned to ask

Thank you for this essay. While reading it, I was reminded of an old SNL sketch in which Dan Aykroid played a sleazy spokesperson for a product that doubled as a dessert topping and a floor cleaner - like Hamas being both a brutal terrorist organization and a legitimate peace partner. I am not being deliberately naive and uninformed, but why is Israel sending tons and tons of humanitarian aid to assist those who are hellbent on destroying it? Why?

This was one of the conditions from the Biden administration to get Israel's back in its war of self-defense and the needed arms supply. The Biden administration played a double game from the beginning but foremost did not want a Israeli victory.

Ok.. so could all the ‘Palestinians’ and their friends from the ‘West Bank’ be relocated to Iran, and all the unhappy suppressed people in Iran be relocated to Gaza?

After blitzing any Iranian nuclear sites??

Love it. I am sickened by the cowardice and ignorance of Humanity. I lived for a long time in different parts of Europe and was amazed by the sclerosis of thought and inability to ever have a profound conversation- since most decisive energy was focused on their shopping lists and coffee breaks. It was not pleasant for them to engage in anything outside of their comfortable narrative, with each country claiming superiority in their calcified views.

Yes! ‘Antisemitism is in European DNA.’ Indeed—Rome has denied Jews since 3rd c. I would say the 1st…Now, Europe is to be ignored, same status as the UN. So bomb the hell out of the murderers in Gaza and have a round of golf on the beach. Israel must rid Gaza of its inhabitants. Not a soul of the citizenry helped one single hostage. And Gazans have proven to the world kidnapping Jews works.

Thank you so much for your brilliant article.....Here, in the US, the previous administration wanted a cease fire, after the evil, horrific attack of October 7, 2023......We had ENOUGH MORE THAN ENOUGH SORROW AND PAIN......let's keep Europe ( specifically The European Union ) The UN, etc. Away ....we know better what to do next !!!.....

Expel the population. Conquer the territory. Resettle and rename.

"The Europeans have spent decades making the Israeli-Palestinian conflict worse, out of malice, stupidity, and racism."

Maybe because if Israel viz. the Jews, are the Nasties of the piece, non-German European states' complicity in aiding and abetting Germany's effort to cleanse European soil of that Jew-blight was not so morally wrong after all. And maybe toss the Jews under the bus because it is good business to ensure you always have access to black gold. And maybe because if someone else finishes the job you started, you can always claim your hands are clean.

"when the Houthis in Yemen abducted a single UN aid worker, all aid was cut off to Yemen. There are different rules for different countries."

A more accurate statement would be "Different rules need to apply to Jews than to anyone else because these are not people like anyone else. They are Jews."

"The European two-state delusion stems from Europe’s desire to prioritize illusory peace over Israel’s security and, of course"

It stems from the desire to neutralize Jews. That way they won't be able to take over the world and the morally righteous will be able to smugly say these uppity Jews got what was coming to them.

"[A two state solution] is the only idea . . . that most Palestinians and Israelis oppose."

And for two very different reasons. The Arabs are driven by the principle enunciated in Dar al-Harb (the Book of War) that once any land comes under Muslim domination ,it remains Muslim forever. And according to the Quran, the worst of the worst kufrs are the Jews. That these "apes and pigs' should control Muslim land is anathema to everything faithful Muslims hold sacred. Thus, their goal is to cleanse the land of the Jews. The goal of the Jews, on the other hand, is to prevent a terror state dedicated to their extermination from being established on their borders.

"Western states’ willingness . . . to allow pro-Hamas demonstrators to rally . . ."

Firstly, what we are witnessing on the streets is no demonstrations, it is 60's style agitprop. Western media and those who take their reality from the news desks of propagandists hiding behind the masks of self-proclaimed objective, impartial news broadcasters, journalists, and reporters repeat the claim that these are mere pro-Palestinian demonstrations. They are anything but. The rabble never call for the establishment of a Palestinian state but the elimination of a sovereign state — a Jewish state, because it is just that, a Jewish state. Listen to their slogans. They are dog-whistle calls for genocide of a people who less than a hundred years ago were subjected to real genocide.

"there are real debates to be had about freedom of expression and association, and there are also real discussions to be had about where the lines for inciting violence and free expression lie."

There may be debates on the nature of free speech, the historical and legal limitations to free speech, and the social necessity for such limits, but that is not how appeals to free speech are being deployed today. Religious fundamentalists and their fellow travellers are weaponizing a Western value to undermine nothing less than Western civilization itself. Sharia anyone?

"Only Israel’s far fewer rights violations — usually a result of mistakes of rogue actions — get coverage."

Part of a well coordinated campaign to demonize Israel, the most visible emblem of Jewry.

"The more people Hamas uses as human shields, and the more Palestinian suffering they engineer, the more support they get, and the more pressure is put on Israel.

It is outright madness."

Not unless you are seeking a Final Solution to this perennial problem.

"The Palestinians do not want their own state; they want to destroy the Jewish one. . . . accepting this truth Europe . . . would help bring the recalcitrant Palestinians to the negotiating table."

Negotiate? To what end? The Judean, Samarian, and Gazan Arabs are not a proto-nationalist movement. As their own representatives have admitted (see below), they are an invented political identity. As some are only now beginning to admit,,there is no historical, legal, archeological grounds for declaring that a legitimate Palestinian identity exists now or has ever existed.

The late senior PLO official Zuheir Mohsen . . . in the Dutch daily Trouw in 1977 . . .:

“The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct “Palestinian people” to oppose Zionism. Yes, the existence of a separate Palestinian identity exists only for tactical reasons, Jordan, which is a sovereign state with defined borders, cannot raise claims to Haifa and Jaffa, while as a Palestinian, I can undoubtedly demand Haifa, Jaffa, Beer-Sheva and Jerusalem. However, the moment we reclaim our right to all of Palestine, we will not wait even a minute to unite Palestine and Jordan.”

— Zuheir Mohsen to James Dorsey, “Wij zijn alleen Palestijn om politieke reden”, Trouw, March 31, 1977.

I am brought by this reading to reflect on the purpose, if there is one, of European aid to “the Palestinians” (i.e. to the terrorists). Is it really a combination of mad-blind foolishness and ferocious Jew-hatred? It is not that I think Europe short of either, but why do they spend so much money on it, decade after decade after decade?

Is some portion of the answer that it is protection money?
