First class article.

Thank you.

The inversion of fact would be literally incredible were it not obvious that everything you describe is true.

The most incredible part is that so many westerners actually buy into the narrative inversion regardless of how glaringly obvious that its a lie.

But when - in the UK - you have the State Broadcaster knowingly selling fake news, maybe it’s not that surprising?

Jeremy Bowen and the alleged IAF strike on the hospital was bad enough, but his refusal to apologise after the truth emerged within hours tells us all we need to know.

Excellent essay! Gets it right on every level. One wonders what blinds otherwise intelligent folk to what Joshua describes in his essay, and what appears so obvious to clear thinking minds.

Accurate and well written piece, Josh. All true. Craven Western elements who are actively antisemitic use the same tropes too, and there is an active alliance between Islamism and Nazism and the Far Left which we have been monitoring for years now. This alliance is designed, among other reasons, to legitimise the theft of Jewish property and know-how. This is an active Program of Theft here in Europe now, organised from high inside The State.

The famous psychologist, Carl Jung, was the first to point out the importance of the phenomenon of "projection," where we see in others aspects of ourself of which we are unaware. Jung called this our "shadow.' Example: Someone thinks of himself as VERY generous and he "hates" stingy folks. He's simply rejecting his own "shadow."

Super excellent article, Joshua. The Jewish population percentage of the entire Middle East is 2% [“The Jewish population percentage of the Middle East is estimated to be around 2%, with the vast majority living in Israel. Jews make up less than 2% of the population in the Middle East-North Africa region, a figure dominated by Israel where they form a majority.”] The Jewish population percentage of the world population is 0.2%.

"Tell me what you accuse the Jew of doing, and I will tell you what you're guilty of." — Vasily Grossman

Qatari and Saudi money has bought our educational system, our media, our politicians, our domestic policy, our foreign policy, and the minds of our youth. The accusation that the Jews are in charge of everything is a deflection so no one will notice how our countries and minds have been colonized without our firing a shot. Qatari and Saudi money are the cancer that have hollowed out our civilization from within, slowly, deliberately, over decades, and we Jews are just a useful tool to ensure everyone is too distracted to notice what they're doing.

The best writing is "oft thought but ne'er so well expressed." This article is a good example of it. The truth of this theory for why Jews are targeted by Muslims now seems obvious, once you express it. You have hit upon something very important.

The frustrating thing is to know the truth but to be unable to share it widely among those who most need to hear it! This article should be read by billions of people and discussed thoroughly. We know that scapegoating is wrong, and yet it is still happening daily. Like that professor in the famous New Yorker cartoon who opined, "Those who don’t study history are doomed to repeat it. Yet those who do study history are doomed to stand by helplessly while everyone else repeats it.”

An addendum to colonialism: large parts of the MENA region were at one time Christian until Islam took over by force. And Islam has been trying to get a foothold in Europe for centuries, but has always been driven back. But now with the globalists like Merkel and the UK's political class in charge, its invasion has been successful, without a shot being fired. Matt Goodwin has a good Substack newsletter on how that disaster is unfolding in the UK. Douglas Murray's book The Strange Death of Europe also addresses it. Yet, somehow, the Jews are to blame, even as they are targeted by Muslims in European cities? It's incredulous.

The conservative antisemites will say Karl Marx and George Soros are Jews, but an entire race cannot be blamed for the thoughts and actions of a few individuals. That's irrational. The Leftist antisemites superimpose an anti-colonial narrative onto Jews but turn a blind eye to Islamic imperialism. Jamie Glazov's book "United in Hate: The Left's Romance with Tyranny and Terror" addresses this weird hypocrisy among Leftists.

It is clear that Islamists psychologically project their own pathological tendencies, their world-dominating ambitions, onto Jews. Thank you for taking the time to express it thoroughly.

NB - I use the word "Islamist" to denote radical Muslims, rather than the mainstream, even though the vast majority support the Islamists (or do not oppose them), and the mainstream also scapegoats Jews and Israel, and it's now part of their culture and religion. The radicals act on it with violence, but the mainstream supports them. Scholars of religious violence have long noted that it does not arise in a vacuum, but requires community support to gain legitimatcy.

I just want to add a few thoughts on scapegoating, a topic I've studied, and which is relevant here. Demonizing the scapegoat and seeking to destroy him is an unconscious psychological defence mechanism to avoid facing those negative qualities in oneself. Robert Spencer of Jihad Watch and others have been trying to warn us for years about Islam's ambitions and inherent violence. The UK and Western European nations are now under siege; they've been invaded by an army of men who want to establish Europe as a new caliphate. But somehow Jews, who are among the victims of Islamic imperialism also in Europe, are to blame for this? Scapegoating is irrational.

So why Jews? Rene Girard, whose life's work was to explore the mechanism of scapegoating, identified the following traits that make a good scapegoat. I apologize in advance for sharing a psychological theory to describe these issues.

Relative outsider: The scapegoat must be close enough to the community to be perceived as a genuine threat but distant enough that their removal will not provoke further cycles of vengeance. A true outsider would be irrelevant, but a full member's expulsion could trigger retaliation. This creates an ideal target for displaced aggression.

NB - Jewish diaspora fit this bill. They are (or were) part of the fabric of many nations, but also somehow apart, due to their ethnic and religious identity, and were vulnerable due to being a minority. Their superior intelligence and work ethic also aggravated jealousy, just as an Indian minority was scapegoated in Uganda.

Arbitrary selection: The victim is not chosen for any true guilt, but their selection is presented as divinely or morally justified. The community unconsciously and arbitrarily selects an individual or group to carry the weight of all of society's sins during a mimetic crisis.

NB - This is where Islamist supersessionism plays a role, in giving divine sanction to the demonisation of Jews; rather than honour Jews for their contribution to Islam, Islamists feel the need to destroy them in order to prove the superiority of their faith. Christians supersessionists feel the same way but no longer wish to violently destroy them (though at one time, not long ago, they performed pogroms).

Ambiguous status: Following their violent elimination, the victim assumes an ambiguous status for the community. They are retrospectively seen as both the monstrous source of the original crisis and the sacred bringer of peace that followed their death. This "double transference" turns the scapegoat into a mythical figure—part demon, part deity—and is central to the formation of ritual and religion.

NB - In the first transference, which is negative, the scapegoat is seen as monstrous, all-powerful in their evil, and the sole cause of the community's crisis. Nazi propaganda is an example of this. The Jewish people were blamed for every societal ill. They were portrayed as a foreign body to be purged -- even as Islamists now seek to purge Israelis from their ancestral homeland, which the Islamists regard as Dar-al-Islam, to be retaken. This transference of blame unified a fractured society and justified the "Final Solution," the ultimate act of scapegoating. "Free Palestine" is an euphemism for a planned second Holocaust.

The second transference, which is positive, is "sacralization." After the scapegoat is eliminated, peace and order return. The community, now looking back, is terrified by the power they attributed to their victim. They think, "If this victim was powerful enough to cause all our problems, their death must be the source of our newfound peace." The victim is no longer seen as a criminal but as a sacred, divine figure. In the decades following World War II, the West underwent this second transference and sacralized Jews. The same dynamic may also be seen in how Aboriginal peoples are now lionized but at one time were demonized.

The Holocaust is the ultimate symbol of absolute evil, and its victims are the ultimate symbols of sacred innocence. This moral framework underpins many modern institutions, from the United Nations' Universal Declaration of Human Rights to genocide conventions. Yet, ironically now the U.N. now seeks to demonize Jews yet again. Scapegoating is cyclical; it always needs victims, and for some reason, Jews more than any other people have been the target. This is abetted by Arab nations' sway in the U.N. and by weak leaders like Carney, Macron and Starmer. There is also the influence of the CCP (China), which is still fighting an unspoken Cold War against the USA and wants to erase Israel as part of that (they literally removed Israel from a world map).

Weakness or distinction: The scapegoat is often someone who is perceived as weak or different, making them an easier target. This difference allows the group to single them out and project blame onto them. Historical examples of scapegoated groups include religious minorities, immigrants, or other easily recognizable communities.

NB- Jews have been vulnerable to attack, but when they decided to arm themselves and fight back, this disrupted the scapegoating cycle, enraging the Arab attackers even more. They could not finish the ritual of purging their negative feelings by destroying the scapegoat. They are essentially stuck in an endless loop now, at an unconscious level.

Misunderstood innocence: A key aspect of the mechanism is the community's "misrecognition" of the victim's innocence. For the process to work, the group must genuinely believe the scapegoat is guilty. When a society later reveals the scapegoat's innocence, the mechanism is exposed and loses its effectiveness.

NB - This is why when you point out contradictions in the worldview of the scapegoater, they become enraged to the point of violence. They have to believe in the coherence of their adopted worldview or else their entire world falls apart. It creates what seems to them an existential crisis that must be resolved by insisting on the guilt of the scapegoat, even when facts and reasons point in the opposite direction. This is also why they hang on to any small thing to prove guilt, however ludicrous.

Carrier of communal sins: The scapegoat is not blamed for a single transgression but is forced to carry the collective guilt of the entire community. This projection of blame provides the group with a cathartic release, transforming the crisis of "all against all" into the unifying peace of "all against one".

NB - This is why antisemites blame Jews for all the world's ills, irrationally. It's not just a few people either. Some two billion Arabs think this way, as do millions of Westerners now who have been brainwashed into it, either from Leftist or Rightist perspectives.
