Excellent analysis. Arafat was created by the KGB. A CIA document easily accessible from the LBJ library in Austin also reveals that the USSR planned the 1967 war against Israel. Israel’s self defense against the Arab assault led by Egypt, Syria and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan (which had previously been called “Transjordan” until its Arab Legion -commanded by British officers and led by British Major John Bagot Glubb, known as “Pasha Glubb” captured Judea and Samaria in its assault against Israel in 1948, after which it dropped the “Trans,” since it was no longer trans the Jordan river). So Israel destroyed the armies of the Arab States arrayed against it (including the invented “Palestine Liberation Army” whose spokesman boasted on TV broadcasts (for those of you old enough to have watched him on your B&W tv’s) at the UN boasting that the Arabs would drive the Jews [sic] into the sea. That’s how Israel liberated Gaza and Judea and Samaria (the West Bank of the Jordan River) from Egyptian and Jordanian rule, respectively. There’s more pre-1967 history. Look up 1956 Suez War (in a decent history book - NOT Wikipedia) when Israel joined France and Britain to attack Dictator of Egypt, Gamal Abdul Nasser, then the Soviet proxy in the region. Israel conquered Gaza and Sinai, to stop terrorists (the Fedayin) from attacking into Israel from Gaza and to break the Egyptian blockade against Israeli shipping in the Gulf of Tiran).

I wrote two additional parts, but. alas I replied to myself. I should have sent the two additional brief essays in replied to you, not additional replies to me. But, some people have received the two additional pieces. If you can find them, perhaps you can add them for your readers. BTW, your essay, as I wrote to you earlier, was great!

Brilliant! The cause for Palestine on social media is viral! It is a lie, there is no history of Palestine the entire cause has been manufactured. Ignorant western idiots adopt it, without knowing anything about the true history. They will bring dreadful repercussions down on themselves .

Great analysis. On top of all the author’s points, so many people already hate Israel and Jews that they are predisposed to accept the Big Lie told by the “Palestinians.” They want to believe the Big Lie, because it confirms everything they already believe about Jews.

Good point. There's definitely a mutual reinforcement between hatred of the Jews and belief in the Big Lies. The more dreadful the lie, the more it justifies the hatred and the violence directed towards the Jews.

Thank you for the excellent history lesson on "Palestine". Unfortunately, those that need to read it won't. As many times as Israel has been attacked and won, it is always the Muslim terrorists that win the publicity battle. As smart as the Israeli Jews are, they do a terrible job countering the Arab propaganda. Sadly, the repercussions of badly handled PR affect not only the Israelis, but Jews throughout the globe. Hopefully, when Israel finally smashes Hamas into non-existence, they will also destroy their fake facts propaganda.

Yes, the keffiyeh does have origins linked to Iraq. Here are some key points about its history:

Etymology: The word "keffiyeh" is believed to derive from the city of Kufa in Iraq, where the tradition of wearing this headscarf began.

Cultural Significance: It originated among Bedouins as a practical covering for the head and face, particularly suited for the arid desert climate.

Historical Roots: The keffiyeh has roots traced back to Mesopotamia, and it carries various cultural meanings across different regions.

This iconic garment has evolved over time and is now recognized worldwide, often associated with Arab culture and identity.

The first time I understood the real utility of a keffiyah was when I was riding on a train in Sudan years ago on the way to Khartoum. Finely powdered sand blew through the non-existent windows. All the Arabs wrapped their faces and breathed through their keffiyahs. I kept my eyes closed and breathed through my pathetic handkerchief.

I think all of us who get involved with these issues of Israeli PR eventually ask the same question. The Israeli government understands Harbara only in positive terms, like sending earthquake relief to Haiti. They don't understand that this doesn't make a dent in public opinion when the mobs are shouting about Israel committing genocide and starving the poor Palestinians.

Our opponents have been trained by those who have synthesized the best of Nazi and Stalinist propaganda techniques. Israel needs to learn how to play defense first, and then follow up with a massive ongoing campaign to effectively publicize and promote the truth of the situation. No one I know who has tried to interest the Israeli government in supporting such an initiative has ever had the slightest success.

Nevertheless, I remain grateful that there are people like you who help us keep smiling while we're stuck shoveling the BS and shooting back at the bad guys.

The Big Lie: Keep it simple, repeat it constantly, and people will begin to believe it. Why does this remind me of “safe and effective”? Add emotional appeal to tug at heart strings: “Protect Granny.” The propaganda blitz for the Covid “vaccine” was probably the most successful in human history. And it proved that the world has indeed morphed into McLuhan’s “global village”.

Thank you for pointing out these disturbing, but undeniable, similarities. The "global village" is today quite visible, but the self-selected management teams who are running the globalist agenda from behind the scenes are far less visible. One element that has become increasingly apparent, however, is the degree to which the propaganda techniques used to manipulate public opinion and influence public behavior are being shared by totalitarians of all political and religious persuasions. The Islamists, the World Economic Forum, the Deep State and the Chi-Coms have little in common other than a determination to suppress democratic institutions and they seem to all use very similar techniques to achieve their ends.

eggzactly this:

"And, for the most part, the Israelis still have no idea what hit them or how to respond."

Yes, this is clear an' beyond unfortunate. If we joos invented advertisin'--on rocks, tablets! ancient soap boxes (lol)--an' of course Bernays--ya'd think we'd do better here...but nope, clueless.

Pleeze sumbuddy in Israel hire a top PR firm in the USA (Madison Ave) to fight on the most important front--screens! Just as ya said. Tiny, big, all screens are the real battlefield. On X/Twitter too. (I'll argue that if ya win the one on screens the one on the ground'll be far less horrific). Whoever is in charge of PR in Israel should go hide their head in the sand an' make like an ostrich. What gits broadcast in the US is beyond cringe--makin' it WORSE. Open mouth, insert foot.... An' why is it only leeetle schmoes with tiny voices pointin' out Pallywood fakery. The baby xrays where shrapnel "stays" wouldn't exit?! Of course it's bunk but like two people saw it wuz bunk an' like 12 million believed it. The 2014 footage from syria rehashed? Needles in a haystack--folks need ta see this--all over amplified. Most of us have trouble findin' it an' we're LOOKIN' fer it.

The old men in respectable suits or the young'uns in army greens ain't cuttin' it. Peepul LOVE ta see where AI changed a scene....Pallywood needs ta be revealed ta most AmeriCONS who truly trust all things HamAss (oy). Israel is totally tone deaf in terms of what counts.

Literally, I feel I CAIN'T WARTCH while Israel commits publicity sooey-cide. (Sorry ta say it but most of what comes outta Israel PR-wise looks ill-conceived 'er cheesy.... they need an American studio, PR firm an' a lotta "retakes") I pray it'll happen an' yestiddy ain't too soon ;-)

Dear Miss Daisy: It's been 15 years since I first attended an Honest Reporting mission in Jerusalem focused on the issue of improving Israeli PR. I spent several years trying to find a way to raise the issue with the powers that be that Israel needed to develop an effective response to the worldwide avalanche of negative propaganda. But what's as obvious as the noses on our faces to you and me, is invisible to those who could potentially sponsor a meaningful response. It's as if they're all under some sort of a witch's spell which keeps them repeating to themselves "We have excellent Hasbara. We're doing everything that's possible under the circumstances." And good luck trying to convince them otherwise...

oy... so they've been told? The higher ups have heard this? It's not just regular schmoes goin' HOW kin they be so stoopid? Eek, that's bad. SURELY there are media-savvy American expats there that might schtep in? Stop the media carnage, no? An' oh my, the tone deaf: "We have excellent Hasbara. "

I'm shakin' my head... the Hasbara is part'a the problem!

Today every schmoe on substack knows the term Hasbara an' equates it as bein' fake "pro Israeli" proper-gander outta the meat grinder--i.e. "Mockin'boid Media" jooish style.

Askin' myself how kin joos be so dumb?! (Don't answer that... we're seein' it on all the college camp-pusses... ).

Blessin's fer speakin' up--now how ta solve this?!

Duz anyone here know folks on Madison Avenue HERE that kin offer free help as a mitzvah an' talk some sense inta someone with authority?! No light matter this--the crisis is existential at a time where media is everything (not a cherce I'd'a made but thems the facts).

I sadly dunno anyone in advertisin'... as a young'un workin' in production from time ta time I used ta hold the slop bucket fer the kids that'd spit out the pizza durin' multiple takes fer the pizza commercials tho! (which put me nowhere on the food chain except in the vicinity of the paper towels, lol) I helped put glue in the cereal bowls ta pretend the stuff floated in MILK! Advertisin' is an ART an' if they don't master it in Israel soon I fear just how much WORSE things'll git... G-d help us all!

Another bizarre piece making the assumption that attacking the Palestinian identity is the same as making the Palestinian threat go away. Is the Israeli cause bolstered if they are fighting South Syrians, Jordanians or even worse just plain Arabs with links across the entire region? Let them call themselves Palestinians if they like, better yet let them call themselves Gazans and Nabalites and Hebronians and Jerichi. Divide and conquer.

What's in a name? Lots!! The first few times that the surrounding Arab nations attacked Israel with genocidal intent, Israel properly was seen as the underdog. Israel's victory against the odds was widely celebrated . This all changed when the Arabs living in Israel renamed themselves as "Palestinians" and began to claim that they had lived there since time immemorial.

At this point it became possible to tar and feather the Jewish Israelis as "settler colonizers" and to accuse them of ethnically cleansing the native inhabitants. Even though there were hundreds of millions of Arabs and only a few million Jews, the invention of the "Palestinian" identity enabled the Arabs to become an oppressed minority virtually overnight. It allowed them to leverage intersectionalism and become the poster child for the struggle of native peoples everywhere yearning to be free.

Deconstructing the phony Palestinian identity will not stop bullets, but it's crucial to breaking the Palestinian narrative's domination of the public mind.

The problem with this argument is that it’s perfectly true that many of the people calling themselves Palestinians have just as much right to live on the land as Israelis do if one goes by the nonsense notion of ‘indigenousness’. They are not really Arabs at all but largely converted Jews, Greeks, Samaritans and assorted Semites. The vast majority of non-Jews give no serious attention to the idea that someone whose last known ancestor to live in the land was 2000 years ago has more right to that land than someone whose family has lived there for even a couple hundred years. Israel derives its legitimacy from the same place as the United States or any other colonial project, the right of conquest and possession of a superior culture. The sooner the embarrassing faux-argument of ‘indigenousness’ goes away, the better for all concerned.

The tactic is the same as used against Israel: if you can’t beat them, join them! I think the main point is that if you visited the territory on which “Palestinians” live the identity was that of cultural Arabs, and that “Palestinian” only really became salient in the diaspora and amongst the self-styled left, especially in the culture industries and in academia. The Arab speaking residents cling to that identity now because what else are they going to call themselves (except for “Israelis,” which many now do)? Historically, as well, the argument is rooted in fact: the focus for the Palestinians has always been that they lost the war and that since 1948 have been a conquered people. Even in Israel, where they are citizens, the majority of them have considered themselves to be conquered and hence “occupied.” The fundamental proof offered is incontrovertible: where are the efforts to build strong institutions that can support a nation state? As poor as Jordan and the West Bank are, they are still much better off than Egypt, or Syria, but until they make peace there shall be no peace dividend and only on-going conflict with their much more organized, driven and hence more successful neighbours. .

"while you have probably never visited Malawi or Kirghizstan or “Palestine,” you know almost nothing about the first two countries, but you definitely know something about the [Palestine] . . . .

Even though “Palestine” is much smaller and less populous than the two others [countries] . . . Real-World Palestine is tiny . . . ."

Factual error. "Palestine" is not now nor ever has been a country. By referring to it as a country, the author lends credence to the myth thus undermining his own attempt to expose it as the fraud it is.

"Judea and Samaria (also known as 'the West Bank') . . . . "Until the Six-Day War in June 1967, the Gaza Strip was in the hands of Egypt, and “the West Bank” was ruled by Jordan."

An increasingly popular way PC Jews refer to the heartland of their unceded, historical ancestral territory. A more historically accurate naming of the area would be "Judea and Samaria (renamed in 1950 the West Bank by the occupying power, Jordan).

“From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” means, quite simply, free of Jews'

That is the benign meaning of the slogan. Consider the following:

“Free Palestine.”

A place that needs to be freed is a place that is occupied by a foreign power. Where is this place?

“From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free”

What river? The Jordan River to the East. What sea? The Mediterranean Sea, to the West.

Who is then is the illegitimate occupying power? The State of Israel.

How are the captives to free this territory of Israel?

“Infifada Now” and Globalize Intifada”

What is Intifada? The First Intifada, (1987-1990) and the Second Intifada, (2000-05) were random terror attacks on Israeli men, women, children, elderly, any civilian available to be slaughtered. These attacks were through gun / knife attacks on streets, in homes, in schools, in synagogues, kidnapping with summary execution, car ramings, suicide bombings and bombs planted in public locations like buses, cafes, airports, schools, or wherever Jews gathered in numbers. The callnow for intifada is the call for a third intifada to once and for all eliminate all Jews from the River to the Sea.

Why this fight against the Jews?

“Global Jihad.”

Jihad means fighting for the cause of Allah. To quote a passage from one of their holy texts, “As Allah's Messenger said, The Hour will not be established until you fight with the Jews, and the stone behind which a Jew will be hiding will say. 'O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him.' ~ Book 56, Hadith 139. See also Surah 2:191

As Muslims believe it is Jews from Europe who overran their country creating the“Zionist Project.,” to stop them from ever doing it again, a global rather than a local jihad is imperative to once and for all solve the Jewish Problem of posing a threat to Islam.

How will this removal be achieved”?

“Resistance by any means”

Rape, burning alive, mutilation, murder, are not butchery. They are just and holy actions because they eliminates the Jews.

According to Article II of the Geneva Convention “genocide means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such: (a) Killing members of the group; (b) Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group; (c) Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part. . . .

Intifada through targeting Jews for death because they are Jews; Jihad because it explicitly calls for the death of Jews; and the 5 slogans of the pro-Palestine movement fits the Geneva definition of Genocide to a T. In fact, it reveals that these demonstrations are NOT pro-palestine at all — and what needs to be emphatically added here, is most morally corrupt — but rather constitute calls to commit genocide. What needs to be emphasized here is the absolute more corruptness of these calls because they target a people who less than a century earlier was subjected to methodical extermination.
