Hamas are holding the hostages to keep Israel from ending the terrorism of Gaza. For this reason Gaza has to be obliterated soon or hostage kidnapping and torture will be the constant with these evil beings. Perhaps a missile into the penthouse at Qatar will immediately release the hostages all…?

You are hopeful Hamas will get a taste. As of now, they are receiving a free ceasefire for nothing.

And pressure is on Israel to honor a ceasefire—even for nothing—because it is the month of Ramadan.

But the Arabs regularly and purposefully attack Jews on Jewish holy days. The Arabs steal and build over Jewish holy sites. The Arabs deliberately torture, murder and then desecrate the remains of our people. Therefore the arabs of Gaza should release all hostages and surrender, or they must be beaten into submission militarily. Every minute that passes without action undermines credibility.

F**K Ramadan, These blood-thirsty barbarians need to feel the heat during their holy days just like they have inflicted terror on us on our hoy days, including Hostage releases on Shabbat.

As far as I know, there is no restriction on Muslims fighting during Ramadan.

This article paints a very rosy picture of the prospects for Israel based on Israel's new tactics, when, in reality, the only thing that has changed is the President of the United States. Had Kamala Harris been elected, there would still be an arms embargo to Israel, as well as an outcry over restricting aid into Gaza, etc. Donald Trump in the Whitehouse, and his support for Israel and the Jews, is what is emboldening Israel. Let's be real. Antisemitism around the world doesn't show any signs of relenting. Fortunately, Leo Terrell in charge of Antisemitism on college campuses, and will bring to bear every asset Pam Bondi's Department of Justice can muster. Thank God all of Biden's kapo Jews, like Garland, Blinken and Mayorkas are gone. If we're lucky Schumer and Schiff will be next.

You have way too much faith in Bondi's Dept. For all you know, she is a deep rooted antisemite.

Good column but considerably too rosy. I like the bomb 💣 sent to the penthouse in Qatar.. that will accomplish more for Israel than anything has so far. Follow (and blow up) the money.

It is a great idea but there is a little known but publicly acknowledged fact that we have agreed to no killing in Qatar. For the life of me I can’t figure out why? The al Thani are very vocal Jew haters (in Arabic) yet have many business relationships with our peeps. Go figure????

And then, Trump will sell them The Gold U.S. Civilian Card, which Hamas will buy with the money they stole from Gaza aid....or maybe they are already here!!

The big difference is Trump, and Netanyahu's willingness to go along with Trump's vision, however unrealistic, and not argue or disparage, but to give thanks and show appreciation. Trump made it clear that ALL the hostages needed to be released or "all hell with break lose." This pronouncement and the resumption of weapon deliveries to Israel allow Israel to plan more strategically and tactically without being second guessed and restricted, as they were by the prior administration.

Joshua Hoffman (or any F.O.J. Subscriber), Please explain; I do not understand why the stated oral demand in negotiations has not emphasized the release of LIVING hostages first? Those hostages remaining in captivity are already at death's door. Hamas has ZERO incentive to differenciate between deceased & still clinging-to-life hostages chosen for release. If the hostages aren't killed first, certainly prolonged malnutrition & torture will in quick succession overtake them. I fully have understand that in this proccess up to now, the living hostages have been collatoral / a bargaining chip for them. Hostage bodies for burial are important for closure, but now that we're FINALLY taking a tough stance, why can't we first demand returned all the remaining LIVE hostages?

Living hostages are worth far more to Hamas, meaning Israel must give more to get them. It is all a game of leverage.

Joshua, - -STILL, at this point in the negitiations, we will have NO living hostages if we do not specify loudly & clearly what the release balance is.
