This is an excellent piece of writing. Said may have been the trigger, but all he did was let the long-existing genie out of the bottle. This genie is not going back into the bottle. New thinking and action is required.

Said had a number of notable "underlings" like Pappe that have pushed the same narrative. The actual academic world has widely denounced these people - but Pappe specifically is used as the "token Jew" to support the narrative...

Problems problems everywhere

and solutions are nowhere

Truly a wonderful essay on how we got to where we are but what are we or what can we do to tackle the problem.

First - thank you for reading - and share widely - it is important that people realize what is going on around them.

As for solutions - I think creating widespread awareness is first. Secondly speaking up. I am proud that I see more and more people engaging and researching and calling out stupidity on various social channels. Fighting back across all fronts.

There is so much that we can do

1. Outlaw SJP on campuses.

2. Make foreign funding of universities illegal.

3. Enforce anti-hate laws and prosecute all the illegal activities that happen at these protests and encampments

4. Stop paying for media that produce these one sided narratives.

5. Insist on the Internet being properly policed for hate

6. Fund Middle Eastern studies departments that are not anti-Semitic

7. Support universities like university of Austin instead of Harvard

8. Give our children Jewish education so that at least they know the truth.

9. Oust teachers in K-12 that are pushing these lies

10. Keep reading writing and spreading the truth.

11. Join #end Jew hatred and sign their daily petitions that are holding elected officials and universities to account

That’s just a short list of the top of my head. We have agency and are not helpless. I understand that Qatar has way more money than Israel will ever have, but we have the truth on our side.

Such wonderful proactive ideas but all i see from the large organizations is nothing substantial outside of begging for donations. I dont see any of the wonderful ideas you listed that require a major campaign happening. At this point, so many of your ideas are just that ..... ideas which frankly change nothing.

Many of my ideas are the same as yours and i have written about them to our organizations and zippo, nada.

My favorite one that you did not list is making self defense classes mandatory in all Jewish schools and Yeshivas and in order to graduate you must pass and know how to kick butt. Wrote to everyone and no response.

Blah blah blah like my comment about self defense mean nothing if not put into action.

Keep up the good fight Cynthia, papa j

Stop whining and be proactive. Stop acting like victims. FIGHT FIRE WITH FIRE.

Organize Jewish internet talent here and in Israel. They must do a continuous world wide blast . This is a full time permanent job. Counter lies , promote the truth about Arab crimes against the US. Isn’t it ridiculous that it was Arabs that were behind 9/11 and yet nobody brings it up?Repeat this atrocity forever.

Promote Israel and Jewish contributions to the world.

Let’s face it. Nobody is going to police the internet. Nobody is going to counter the libel except us.

Thank you for reading. I agree with you entirely that speaking out and creating awareness is absolutely critical as a first step. As someone who frequently writes - and will also argue with people on various socials - I see more and more people engaging and fighting back. This is an important step. Call out the hypocrisy wherever you see it. Back it up with facts.

The UN is one big joke these days. Why does Israel pay the UN in general. Not a single shekel anymore, and why does it need an organization that condemns Israel with lies from the UN and (ICJ). The UN is a relic of the old world that lives today under the corruption of corruption and lies.

Separation would be a big blow, But it would take the teeth out of the Arabs.

Kari - first thank you for reading and feel free to share away!

I think it is a bit more nuanced for two reasons.

First, there are things that the UN does that are beneficial - like the ICAO that create global standards and regulation.

Secondly - if Israel were to universally leave then Israel would truly be ostracized. They need to stay there to fight back and call out hypocrisy publicly - while at the same time maintain good standing with things like the IMO and IMF - of which Israel is an active member...

If the trend of the UN continues as it is then at some point it will be less and less relevant and actually create more division. At some point they will side with the Axis of Terror in such an extreme way that it will create division with the liberal democracies and emerging liberal democracies.

Can't good deeds be done without the UN? Not don't no country need the UN to be fair in deeds, sorry but I'm skeptical of political passions, according to my long experience, a single government that has been in power has been able to civilly argue without shooting each other, that is the only achievement of democracy, even though they have not succeeded in eradicating anti-Semitism and racial hatred, let alone hatred against their neighbors near and far.

The UN was founded in order to root out the extreme evil against other tribes, but it fails right from the start, by creating a system of privileged interests, with the help of which they prevent good decisions. However, evil remained free. Today, there are states that have come up with the idea of dismantling and changing laws that prevent the growth of evil and hatred, but that is the parliamentary right of every state, even in a democracy despite the UN. So fragile are the rotten institutions.

Either confrontation (by the world) will happen now or not --- but the price will be paid. I suggest bite the bullet and deal with it. And Israel should decide what works for them since they have already paid the price (sadly with more to come). When the proverbial smoke clears, a new world power structure will be seen -- hopefully it will be the West (if not, this is all moot).

A most frightening parallel to all that's going on today in the world is what went on in Hitler's Germany in the 1930s where the first thing the Nazis did was take over academia as they sought to stifle all opposition and impose the party line. Today is very much like the Third Reich on steroids and spread out across much of the world. We must oppose this and expose this at every opportunity, but more than that, we must try to ensure our respective governments don't just try to appease the Jihadi Juggernaut by kicking the can down the road! After all, in many countries the enemy is not just at the gate, it has already scaled it.

That is largely true, but democracy works in the West, and the voters are passive and reluctant, they don't trust the speeches of the candidates, because party politics comes first. the parties, after receiving the mandate again, focus on asserting their power and securing their own interests.

In theory perhaps, but how does that "Democracy" work in the US when the governing Democratic party has been infiltrated and controlled by the Muslim Brotherhood? A prime example of the enemy already being within the gates.

US democracy is a joke even without Islamists. And I don't see it as democracy in any other form than that the power of money votes in the USA, and good-faith fools vote for insane candidates one after another. The country suffers from a big ego. I got enough coverage from one visit, sorry but I haven't missed anything.

Our neighbor has another madman who wants to play with the USA in his own dictatorial way. To whom Trump seems to be jealous of Putin's power. I agree with Winston Churchill that if people knew the basis on which decisions are made and the amount of Sense, they would stop voting. People's short memory can be bought with money.

You write:- 'Iran-backed disinformation campaigns against Jews, Israel, and the West have been going on for years, but efforts greatly ramped up and become more streamlined since October 7th.'

In fact, these viciously anti-Semitic efforts have been supported and encouraged, in some instances also been given platform, by Iran-supporting Nazi Elements in The West's Secret Services. Behind words like 'Evil' and 'Subversive' are attempts to unleash actual Religious violence in The Middle East Region by these very highly placed Nazi Elements in The West's Secret Services.
