Wanna know the secret irony? Israelis also believe that every IDF warrior - whether dead, wounded or in primo survivor shape - has earned a front row seat in heaven for eternity. Sam Harris actually commented on this a while back, saying that Hamas often use children and women as human shields, which often works and stops the IDF firing. So of course you are going to get some of the same in reverse.
But if you then get an Israeli hiding behind an Israeli child, there would suddenly be no deterrant because the aim of Hamas is to kill every Israeli, including children. So with Harris giving this example, you suddenly saw the difference.
The rape though and killing of innocents in safe areas is indefensible.
