Sending 4,200 trucks of aid to one's enemy is treason. There a 500 million people in this world who are far more impoverished than the Gazans. The poor of Bangladesh and India have never tried to massacre the Jews. Send the aid to them instead.
Excuse me for my careless words. The proper description of this “feeding them is treason” provocation is “unserious”, not “mindless”. Israel controls access and Egypt/the World won’t let the Gazans leave, so the choices are between feed them, starve them, let others feed them. To an extent, the Gov’t has tried all three. If Israel were the Roman Empire, starvation would be fully viable and likely would be implemented. If Israel were Russia, it might possibly do the same. That or simply carpet bomb Gaza City. But the year is 2026 CE, and Israel is constrained by its most important ally and by the fact that it is not Russia, so your prescription is not realistic, and you know it, which makes the “treason” provocation unserious, but not mindless.
Good point. Again, we are way too concerned about how we look to the rest of the world. No matter what we do there will be those who hate us. So it's time -- finally -- to stop giving a damn.
Indeed. It' time for Israel to get back to disarming/destroying Hamas as a "military or governing force in Gaza". Maybe after the coming operation to take out the Mullahs in Iran, but before the Indonesians are semipermanently installed as a shield over Gaza.
“..'The agreement says … Gaza will be a terror-free zone. The agreement speaks about Hamas disarming.' Without that, the line becomes a defensive posture rather than a resolution."
So they're not going to disarm. ENOUGH with the 'ceasefire', then.
Thank you for this article. It exposes the reality of where we're at, and the continued wishes and fantasies of Trump and other gameplayers in regard to rebuilding of Gaza and anything else at this stage is rendered irrelevant and inappropriate. The facts as you present them should be put before the world who still bay for 'Free Palestine' and, of course, if and when we have to continue the war all hell will break loose as protesters hysterically proclaim Israel's 'genocide'.
They proclaim Israel's genocide every day anyway. Again, we have to stop caring. (In the end, more people on both sides die when you fight a weasel war instead of employing decisive action. Israel is strong enough to just end it.
Unless Hamas is completely destroyed there will be no peace whatever. If there are still tunnels then the IDF should go and destroy them. I know the IDF won't do this but inject cyanide gas into these tunnel complexes to end the danger to Israeli troops and citizens. Yes, the international community would scream and cry and compare this to Zyklon B which was hydrogen cyanide forgetting its use during the Shoah but this tit for tat from Gaza can't go on forever.
This depressing article informed me and the enemy that Israel’s children watch themselves targeted daily and no one gives the order to send a drone where the enemy is tunneled to eliminate the tunnel and the murderers who signed a “ceasefire” Someone with a half a brain explain this to me
"One was four terrorists coming out of a tunnel shaft": okay so why doesn't Israel, upon seeing that there is a tunnel shaft, pour a huge amount of concrete down that shaft? I don't care if it's beyond the yellow line. If Hamas doesn't hold to the line, there should be consequences. This is the problem all along. One side doesn't honor the rules and the other side feels as though it must, even under the most ridiculous circumstances. This is why Hamas et al keep surviving. We need to stop being so "nice" and "proper" and "following rules." It's ridiculous.

In this context, the use of the word “treason” is mindless provocation.
Feeding the people who are planning to murder you is not treason?

Amen brother and shame on you Josh- these people are not the enemy.
Then what are they?
Then who is the enemy? You can’t make a broad stroke without defining your meaning.
Good point. Again, we are way too concerned about how we look to the rest of the world. No matter what we do there will be those who hate us. So it's time -- finally -- to stop giving a damn.
If Hamas is firing at Israeli soldiers, then the war is not paused.
Indeed. It' time for Israel to get back to disarming/destroying Hamas as a "military or governing force in Gaza". Maybe after the coming operation to take out the Mullahs in Iran, but before the Indonesians are semipermanently installed as a shield over Gaza.
To start, ALL tunnels should be filled with . . . cement? gas? something. The hostages are home; there is no reason not to.

Finish the job.
Hunt them down, and kill them.
Yes! Exactly.
Thanks for your update. It sounds fragile indeed.

Does any rational person expect Hamas to disarm itself?
I wish the outside world could have an understanding of the geography here. Excellent article as it really expresses the dilemma.
Ending the war before finishing the job was a terrible mistake.
And that's what we always do; expecting the world to compliment our restraint and humanitarianism. Stop it already.
In this case I think it was pressure from Trump and the Israeli publi to get the hostages back.
I understand. But once they're back . . .
Now there is extreme pressure to cooperate with Trump.
Well if Israel becomes more independent…
