It should be clear to all by now the western based laws, customs and rational thinking cannot be applied to comprehend and control the vaguries of fanatical, religious and political ideologies. Wishful thinking is out to lunch because what you see it what you get and effective, situation appropriate solutions have to be effected to ensure survival. Arriving at the end result isn't pretty but is entirely necessary because there is no sense trying to change ingrained belief systems.

I agree, sometimes war is the best option. You must follow the course that you need to! The international law does not follow the truthful path. Fight for yourselves and the rest of the free world ! Thank you!

Fine article. I agree about Western and non-Western nations playing by different rules. It's why institutions like the UN cause more trouble than they solve and are sitting ducks for corruption. If there is to be such an international institution, let it be an alliance of DEMOCRATIC nations only. That may at least increase pressure on other nations to alter their governance. And if not, well then our own values will not be corrupted. You cannot claim to be for democracy and equality and free speech and then give equal footing to nations which despise these very concepts.

Democratic countries are, I understand, a minority, no matter how many rules based international treaties they sign, the dictatorships dominate the UN. The UN relies on “donations” and dictators donate too.

International Law was developed in response to the Horrors of Hitler, Nazism and the Genocides of World War Two. Indeed the UN was set up to arbitrate against wars since. The reality is that most of the World's countries are not Democracies, and are poor and over-populated, with Elites in each of these Nations looting them and desperate to come to The West. The mistake The Left makes is in claiming this is the fault of us here in The West. This is simply not true. There is a place for the Rules Based Order. And actually, things are getting better in the so-called Second World (BRICS) Countries and even in the Developing World too. The Key is Education and the Exporting of Democratic values. For in fact these two elements have made The West rich, and with Technology, what we are today. China and The East followed us to the Path to Prosperity. Many here became Democracies too. So keep going. Power lies in Trade and the Trade in Ideas, including Ideas of Liberty and Good Governance. And The West remains Pre-eminent in both of these, (and exports them ), and will remain so.

So I say to this website, Do not become too blinkered and focused on the Islamist and Totalitarian regimes of The Middle East. The rest of the world has moved on from Totalitarian Religion, even as Israel with its Warring Neighbours has to balance both.

The reason why Religion still has such a psychological grip in these societies (and in Religious Right-Wing Elites in The West too BTW) will shock you! It is because all Soldiers must be given beliefs in G-d and The Afterlife if they are being asked to sacrifice their lives in War. This is the Psychology of all the Militaries of the Nations of the world. The secret is to prevent these beliefs damaging the rational Governance of Countries, (which is why Smotrich and Ben Gvir must be kept from Power). For Religion, powerful and G-d-given as it is, is simply not Rational.

Pompous and Conceited judgement from the ICJ and the Anti-Semitic elements which lurk in the corners of the International community: Everyone KNOWS the Palestinians would use such an entity to rearm for a War against Israel. We have monitored Hamas in Formal Alliance with The (Re-formed) Nazi Party here in London from 2013, and they are sworn to a War of Genocide against The Jewish People. So, in Military law, the occupation is completely justified. It is preventing another mass-murder against the Jewish People of Israel by Hamas and Islamist fellow travellers and their backers like Iran

Don’t expect her to be around in a position of authority for very long. Obama & Pelosi refuse to endorse her & want an ‘open’ convention that they will control.
