Thank you for sharing this story about Professor Wistrich. His work is certainly quite apropos to the explosion of antisemitism we're experiencing in the world today.
She is an equally formidable scholar on this topic.
I tell you that, allowing for the possibility you are familiar with her, but mentioning her or any of the other great minds you didn’t name would be too long and unwieldy an article.
Anti semitism or more correctly, Jew Hatred, existed even before 2000 years ago and when that suffering completed, now Islamic Jew Hatred .... it may be the sense of competition that fans these flames ... and oddly enough, Jews do not care to add numbers to their membership ... they need no validation to accept and care for the people into which they were born.
Thank you Stephen
I think we grew too complacent!
So we return to normal. J
Yes you are absolutely right and I am a fan too!
Indeed I did read his obituary as I did thar of Winstn Picket but yes you are riight I should hve acknowledged it.
Yes indeed we are all brought up on fairy tales and sometimes they have a grain of truth!

Why does this sound so very similar to the 2015 New York Times Wistrich obit written by Sam Roberts? I am dismayed.
Thank you, Rabbi…I always love learning more history…stay safe while in New York.
Thank you Miriamnae. We need to be safe everywhere nowadays!
All because of a fairy tale written about 2000 years ago.
