Great piece! America needs to show strength instead of weakness in its support for Israel as it fights an existential war. We cannot wait for Iran to have nuclear capability before bringing them to their knees. Israel is in a fight for its life and I pray the leaders are guided in making the right decisions.

Wonderful piece! You carried through this incredible operation! You have shown incredible strength ! I believe you have shown the US’s weakness in their support. This is Israel as it should always be.

Israel made it very clear that it will eliminate the heads of Iranian terrorist proxies regardless of what DC or Teheran say It was perfectly timed given the absence of anyone in charge in DC and before the election in the US

The sad thing is nobody talks about the un resolution to move Hizballah back north to the litani river. There are un troops in the south of Lebanon who were supposed to assure that there was a buffer zone. Oh well.

Not remotely the case. Iran is more likely to collapse.

"In this situation, Israel’s legitimacy to fight (i.e. what is left of it) evaporates. In the eyes of the Iranians, Israel is slowly slipping into a state of collapse, like the Iranians have always wanted to see it".

Israel means business.

Insightful analysis, which leaves me, with close relatives (brother his extended family of 3 kids, 10 grandkids and all the in-laws and such) and a few friends, wondering how one could help from a distance (I am in Thailand). Now, that many airlines are suspending flights to and from TLV, travels becomes expensive again, and scarce too. My assessment of casualties and destruction, and quality of life deterioration is not optimistic.

Feels worse than the months after Yom Kippur War — starting from scratch, with uncertainty and battle for survival, with technologies that make land-based borders and means of traditional warfare (tanks and airplanes) permeable and almost totally obsolete, respectively.

Gold medal indeed! Silver and bronze as well. A clean sweep!
