As the death toll from the horrific Hamas onslaught passes 1,200 people, Israel is still reeling from Saturday’s barbaric terror attacks. But the country is standing united in a remarkable way, with many opening their homes to those evacuated from the southern regions.
Israeli hotels are opening their doors, with 9000 hotel rooms reserved for families who’ve been uprooted from their homes.
In this video, you’ll see children getting their faces painted, playing games, enjoying music. This looks like a fun summer camp, but in fact, these children have just spent hours stuck in safe rooms terrified for their lives. Now, volunteers are making sure they feel loved and protected.

'An act of sheer evil': Biden pledges support for Israel, American Jews in speech.

President Joe Biden on Tuesday denounced Hamas, calling the surprise attack on Israel launched by the Palestinian terrorist group ‘an act of sheer evil,’ and stressed US support for Israel as it mourns the killing of more than 1,000 people, including at least 14 Americans.
‘There are moments in this life, and I mean this literally when the pure unadulterated evil is unleashed on this world. The people of Israel lived through one such moment this weekend,’ Biden told reporters at the White House.
Biden described what he called ‘stomach-turning’ reports of ‘parents butchered,’ ‘babies being killed,’ ‘entire families slain’ and ‘women raped, assaulted and paraded as trophies.’
He said Hamas had threatened to execute hostages, including survivors of the Nazi Holocaust, in violation of ‘every code of human morality.’ He said the group's brutality and ‘bloodthirstiness’ is a reminder of the ‘worst rampages of ISIS.’
15,000 Toronto Jews and allies rally for Israel following devastating Hamas attack.

On Monday evening, fifteen thousand people came out for an Emergency Rally for the People of Israel in Toronto. They expressed their shock and grief over the atrocities perpetrated by Hamas terrorists from Gaza against Israelis.
The rally, protected by unprecedented police security, attracted members of Canada's largest Jewish community and allies.
The UJA Federation mobilized within a day to organize the rally, and the community responded very quickly. It is one of the most highly identifying Jewish communities in North America.
Octogenarian Hindy Hirt said she was amazed to see so many Iranians at the rally. They waved green, white, and red flags with a lion, indicating their opposition to the Iranian regime.
European countries increase synagogue security as Jews brace for antisemitism after Hamas attack.

In cities across Europe, crowds have celebrated the Hamas assault, with far-left movements calling it ‘heroic’.
Police were on alert Saturday night in Berlin as people gathered to cheer and hold up victory signs. They disbanded the gathering and made multiple arrests.
In England, the Community Security Trust (CST) reported an increase in antisemitic abuse and threats over the past few days, and said it was prepared for more serious attacks.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed it was increasing patrols across the city and providing safety advice to synagogues, mosques and businesses. It said it had attended to some ‘low level public order incidents’ but they were resolved without arrests.
France has seen a spike in antisemitic incidents since the Hamas assault, with 10 people arrested and 44 open investigations. The Eiffel Tower was lit in white and blue on Monday night.
A segment of France's political left has distanced itself from nearly-unanimous condemnations of the Hamas offensive within the French political class, and has praised the attacks. The Indigenous Party's tweet sparked public outrage and calls for the party's dissolution.
Rabbi Yves Marciano of Les Tournelles Synagogue said the risk to individuals is often greatest when they are not at synagogue.
In Spain, the main synagogue in the Chamber district was defaced with graffiti that read ‘Free Palestine’ next to a crossed-out Star of David on Sunday. The Spanish interior ministry has bolstered police surveillance around synagogues and Jewish landmarks.
In Ceuta, a small Spanish enclave on the North African coast near Morocco, police have reinforced surveillance and protection at the local synagogue and Jewish cemetery. Jews in Ceuta have historically been targeted by antisemitism.
