How right you are! I have thought this for years. The selective blindness of the UN and countless other Countries is morally wrong and completely off the scale!!

Good job, nice tag line. Selective morality is not morality. 500K Syria, 230K Yemen, Chechyna, 20K, South Sudan, etc, etc. Yawn.

I also wrote on comparing the Nakba to the level of displacement in the similar situations and the Nakba is over priced in the catastrophe marketplace. https://open.substack.com/pub/paulfinlayson/p/the-nakba-the-cherished-catastrophe?r=iy2ds&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&showWelcomeOnShare=true

Might this be because Israel is a client state of the US? Israel was founded as a sort of Western outpost in the Middle East in which European Jews were the majority. Since then they have evolved to become a more like a typical Middle Eastern country in both ethnic and political ways.

This is factually dishonest. Here is the truth about Israel’s historical relationship with the U.S. — https://www.futureofjewish.com/p/would-israel-exist-without-america

A is a client state of B if A gets much more from B than B gets from A. It does NOT mean that A owes its existence to B. The cited article says this right up front:

There is no question that the State of Israel has benefitted tremendously from its relationship with the United States, which is still the world’s military and economic superpower.

That establishes that Israel (A) gets a lot from the US (B). My contention is the US gets much less in return. Nothing in your link argues otherwise. So, my statement stands.

As for Western outpost, by this I mean a majority of the Jewish population in the early days was Westernized, often having come from Europe or elsewhere in the West. Since then, they have become more Middle Eastern, returning to their roots so to speak and if the US would simply withdraw, the Israelis would probably handle the Palestinian issue like their neighbors would.

Take the current war. Hama launched a brutal assault that would obviously invoke a furious response. So, what was Hama's objective? I think it was to get Israel to kill a large number of Palestinians, and face condemnation from the world. But if Israel were no longer a US client, the spotlight would be taken off of them and they would be free to act without having to consider how their Patron will react.

Bashir Assad's father Hafez Assad, (who ruled Syria before Bashir), murdered 20,000 in the Syrian city of Hama in a single weekend, 42 years ago (February 1982). The mass media here in The West ignored the massacre completely. Even The Sunday Times at the time said, look, wake up to Syria's Baath Party-mass-murder. No one did. Silence from the Anti-Semitic Liberals. Israel acts in Self-Defence to go after Hamas, who have sworn War-after-War of Genocide against The Jewish People until we are exterminated: Liberals stand up and start screaming in Hate in support of The Palestinians. Double Standards? No, ANTISEMITISM and hatred of Israel: Can be the only reason we are singled out, we can correctly deduce.

I would note than Syria was not a client of the US. If a generation or two after a break with the US, Israel chose to become morally like Syria, I suspect the liberals would no longer make much of a fuss if Israel slaughtered some if its Palestinian residents.

Fair point, Mike. No one makes a fuss about the 5 million Central Africans who have died in the last fifteen years in the ongoing war there. Morally, Israel is not like Syria however. Hamas is Nazi-allied, and started this latest War with the mass-murder of 1200 civilians in Southern Israel, and the capture of a further 150 Hostages, on October 7th 2023. This International alliance by Hamas with the Re-formed Nazi Party has been monitored.

Great article Joshua. Gilad Erdan's "No Jews, No News" was brilliant and true. As you stated, countries partaking in real genocide in the millions and not a sound. But the Jews kill an enemy who massacred it's people and the whole world is on fire. When I read and hear about what my US administration says each and every day, along with the rest of the global clowns, I am astounded at the absolute stupidity of these people. It seems they're on a mission to destroy Israel. If that should happen (G-d forbid), I fear for the rest of the world, so on a positive note, I say, Am Yisrael Chai!

Josh, just a quick reminder that the Jews are a religious group of many ethnicities and races. Don't fall into the mistake of calling Jews a single race because to do so would not be factually correct.

It should say: "No Jews, no progress!" Almost All most significant inventions come from Jews: Binary code, on which all electronics operate (German Jew), internal combustion engine, Austrian Jew, just to name a few....
