And Thomas Friedman just wrote an article for the NYT blaming the Israeli government for violence against Jews worldwide which further amplifies these types of misguided hatreds.

I read that article as well and I thought, man, you're a Jew as well and you can't support Israel in it's fight to remain democratically alive let alone a country of it's own? Sad.

I have utter contempt for these nations and their pathetic leaders. They are becoming less free and more autocratic within their own borders. They ought to stay out of Israel's business. Their destruction at the hands of the massive numbers of muslim jihadists they've allowed in can't come soon enough. It will be poetic justice when the islamists declare them to be "occupiers". There already are no-go zones in many western nations.

'Pathetic leaders' is exactly right Laura. The United Kingdom of Islamistan has set a very dangerous precedent and we seem to be following it.

You are also correct about us 'staying out of Israel's business'. Until we are attacked multiple times by barbarians who rape and kill our women and children, how dare we moralise on what Israel should do in this situation. Spoilt civilisations are soft and pathetic at times. Sadly, NZ is my country 'and I am deeply ashamed for this.

And since you bring up rape, I've been meaning to write about this. These Islamists are weirdly intent on rape. It seems to be part of their culture, which is another reason why I consider them barbarians. Israel should have a policy of debilitating in some way any prisoner before that prisoner is exchanged for hostages, ever. Either sterilize them, make them impotent, unleash a virus into their systems while they sleep. I don't know. Just another one of my random thoughts.

Says a lot about how they view women perhaps? They say they keep them all cloaked up to honour & respect women, but the stats of hideous abuse tell a different story. What sort of absolute fucktard do you actually have to be to force yourself sexually on a woman?

Anti-Semites, Beware 👇

Your time is short…

🔸️Zechariah 12:9 KJV

And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

🔸️Zechariah 14:12 KJV

And this shall be the plague wherewith the Lord will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.

While I agree with the thrust of your essay regarding the unacceptable sanctioning of Israeli politicians, I wish you were more full throated about calling out those same politicians. Smotrich, Ben-Gvir are not merely"abrasive" or even"appalling." They espouse policies that are contrary to Jewish culture and ethics, and which, if they are successful and fully implementing, could well lead to the dismantling of the Jewish state.

Not that antisemites need it, but they give the world a potent cudgel with which to beat us further. Many of us who defend Israel to the hilt, are not motivated to protest and be seen, even inferentially, to be supporting them. They and their gang of thugs embody fascism, dictatorship, inhumanity and religious extremism, which ironically our mirror images of the Islamist fundamentalist enemies that surround us and seek our annihilation. The only material difference I see is that they are enemies within.

Just as you call for those who revere democracy to speak out against the vile Europeans' actions against Israel, so you should be calling for us to resist and depose these evil, extreme, inhumane enemies of Israel and the Jewish people.

Your extremist words read like those of others who have jumped onto the demonization bandwagon to single out and delegitimize those they don’t understand. Sound familiar? What exactly makes Ben Gvir and Smotrich evil in your assessment? And don’t just regurgitate leftwing Israeli media perspectives, state some indisputable facts.

Here's a good summary that cites many indisputable facts. If their actions and words strike you as the right an proper way for Israel to uphold Jewish values and its status as a Jewish but still multiethnic, multiracial, LGBTQ-and other minority-tolerant, democratic state, I believe you support a threat to the Jewish people and to Israel's future. https://www.theatlantic.com/international/archive/2025/05/israel-policy-smotrich-bengvir-palestine/682986/

The Atlantic has a pay wall, but the article starts out typically — repeating the opinions of others that essentially having the perspective (and the audacity to say it out loud) that the land from the River to the Sea is Jewish land and is the birthplace of Jewish civilization and needs to be treated as such is somehow evil, wrong, and offensive to others. I reject that stating what is true should be demonized just as I unequivocally reject Jew hate in all of its forms. Israel is continually demonized, and Israeli leaders who truly defend Israel and refuse to surrender to those who want Israel carved up to eventually be overrun also are demonized. Thankfully, a growing number of Israelis and Jews everywhere has realized that there’s no making deals with those who have come with the knife. We are demonized for existing and surviving. Are we all just evil “settler” supporters deserving of scorn for maintaining that Jews are the rightful owners of this tiny slice of land? The whole notion that we are occupying and illegally squatting on stolen land is a well manufactured big lie told so often over the decades and so increasingly outlandish in each telling that it has become the baseline for every discussion and perspective—just another blood libel to add to all the others. Look at the map and go back to when the “Palestinians” were invented (mid-60’s) as a method to oust the Jews. This tells the story as do the two mosques built on top of the remains of our Temples. The Muslim Arab “attachment” to the land is because it’s ours. The crux of the conflict has always been about Muslim intolerance of Jewish sovereignty in any land claimed by Islam. If calling out the real oppressors and shameless colonizers and being honest and refusing suicide is evil, then I’m guilty. Take a look at yesterday’s FOJ article, “Israel Doesn’t Owe Anyone an Explanation,” and if you really want to broaden your perspective, read the short book (with extensive notes), “History Upside Down: The Roots of Palestinian Fascism and the Myth of Israeli Aggression,” David Ben Levi. Huckabee is right—there is an abundance of Muslim Arab land to accommodate another Arab state if it’s truly a state that is wanted. The essence of Palestinianism is not the love of the land but the desire for genocide and destruction of Israel and Jews. That goal has not changed—before or after the 1948 war—and is reinforced by the Arab rejection of numerous Arab/“Palestinian” state offers. The goal to oust/kill Jews had always trumped creation of a state. For 2,000 years, Palestine meant Jewish — the place we were told to go back to from Europe, and now the place to get out of that we occupy for refusing to be slaughtered. As long as Jews were powerless and second class citizens in the ME, we were tolerated between pogroms. It should be obvious what’s going on. Non-Jews who want to peacefully coexist with Jews in a Jewish state should be free to keep living in the only ME democracy with freedoms they’d never have elsewhere in the ME. Those who want Israel to be dismantled as the world’s only Jewish state should go live elsewhere. Israel needs secure defensible borders to survive and a Jewish majority to remain a state and haven for Jews. At 0.2% of the world population, Jews have the right to a country in the land that everyone has always known was where the Jews originated. A sliver of land so tiny one can hardly see it on the map in the midst of the massive land holdings of ~20 Muslim counties. It’s not complicated.

100% there with ya... an' I keep shoutin' to the rafters, git these fools a filter--a Madison Avenue AMERICAN PR Firm as the more they SPOUT venom, the more that'll come back an' literally poison Israel an' how others view us chews the world over....

YES, in a way, they are OUR enemies within that do not support jooish values. Blind hatred is notta jooish value. To fight hard, fiercely, EVEN ruthlessly to save lives an' yer nation is fine.... It's that their ugly rhetoric slimes US not the "amaleck" (oy).

I understand righteous anger... I kin even contextualize such rhetoric in private to a degree (off camera... like a rape victim wantin' ta rip their abuser limb from limb an' throw 'in a wood chipper... I git it).... but these bristlin' angry idiots are now "taken" fer the entire pop-u-last of Israel AND us joos in the disapora too.. an' we "receive" the hate they have triggered...

If an angry non-joo sez vile stuff, let's say here in the US.... they only represent themselfs 'er their "cabinet" or direct supporters--noboddy would say that "one person" represents a nayshun... we don't blame the N. Korean citizens fer what Kim Jong Un sez 'er duz.... but one "bad chew" speakin' hate sadly is the sordid "signifier" fer us all...

We don't need apologizerz... but we don't need comic book villains presented as leaders playin' MAJOR roles either... shootin' ourselfs in the feet when we need to point those weapons outward...

Addin' too that the press that these trash-talkin' fools generate, CreeATEs a space fer haters ta jump on in... like today's nooze--yuk:

Sanctioning Smotrich and Ben Gvir is a strategy to undermine Bibi's coalition. Let's demonize those "extremist settlers" who are the reason there's no peace in the Middle East. They are the ones who point out inconvenient truths like the fact that the polls showed most Palestinians approved of the Oct 7th massacre. We can't have loud-mouthed fools like them speaking the truth or people will stop believing in the wisdom of the Oslo Agreement and the Two-State Solution. It's their fault, along with that tyrant Bibi, that there's no peace today and the hostages are still not home.

The subversive idiots that are burning down Los Angeles have a branch office and an active following in Tel Aviv.

I can’t use the brain space to process this because as you said if inflammatory statements were grounds for this half of politicians wouldn’t be able to travel anywhere. But inflammatory comments about Zionists don’t count. The Soviet Union used to come with jokes about making tests or resources impossible for Jews to obtain relative to others. But it’s no joke.

WHAT A WONDERFUL WRITING! The passion, strength and TRUTH absolutely poured from the very depths of your heart! I’m an American but my blood line is of the Ashkenazi Jews and I proudly say that, make no mistake! My Great Grand Parents left Frankfurt, Germany before WWI, BARUCH HASHEM! But it’s always been the same harassing ANTISEMITISM against Jews, PERIOD! I’m sick and tired of the West, especially America telling Israel what to do, how and when to DEFEND herself against all her enemies as I’ve watched during this war as Israel’s been struck on ALL 7 FRONTS! Israel doesn’t have to listen to any outside leader whether from the United States or any other country! ISRAEL HAS THE RIGHT TO DEFEND HERSELF!!!

You see what’s happening in the United States right now! I well remember NETANYAHU’S speech to our Congress and especially as he state, “As it goes in Israel, SO IT GOES IN AMERICA”! Here we are with violent protests to the point of President Trump calling out the National Guard and our Marines to try and control what’s going on in California. There’s now threats of terrorist organizations (well organized terrorist groups who are paid for by certain wealthy people)

to attack cities all over this country on June 14th, just 3 days from now!!! Millions of illegal aliens poured through our Southern Border during the Biden Regime who have been just laying in wait for the “Word to GO”! So, Netanyahu was right all along, “How it goes in Israel, so it goes in the United States!

I say to all Jews in the world to STAND UP AND NEVER SHRINK BACK AGAIN! Do what you must in Israel to defend YOUR COUNTRY THAT GOD GAVE YOU BY A DIVINE LAND GRANT!!! NO TWO STATE SOLUTION, EVER, NOT EVER! So many are praying for the PEACE OF JERUSALEM! Notice the 3 letters in Jer-USA-Lem?! USA, so yes, “As it goes in Israel, so it goes in the United States”! Please Pray for the United States and for President Trump for God’s WISDOM! We pray for NETANYAHU FOR GOD’S WISDOM AS WELL! Shalom

On behalf of everyone in New Zealand, and also for everyone in Australia (because Aussies just ain't smart enough to do it for themselves),I apologise profusely for the complete fucktardery displayed by our Foreign Minister and Prime Minister and the way they treated these Israeli politicians. I don't give a rat's arse if these people are right wing, left wing, or listen to country music, they are elected officials in an ALLIED country, ergo they are our friends. You don't do this to friends. And you DON'T compare them to Russia, Myanmar or Belarus. Just woeful.

This UN pandering bullshit has shamed our once great country. Please know that many of us down here do very much support Israel. Again I am so sorry.
