Thank you for this powerful piece. Those here in the US who most need to read it won’t. I will, regardless, share this with as many people as possible. So many I’m surrounded by keep their heads in the sand.

I dont find the "civilized world" to be particularly civilized. I find it grossly hypocritical and often unable to distinguish right from wrong. I am ashamed that my country the United States appears to be slipping to the level of the others.

The correct response to the minority but powerful Media Elite who play to the Anti-Semitism in the crowd, is the scrutiny of their Anti-Semitism. We find repeated incidents of High-Class hatred of Jews by these people. Put simply and transactionally , their real reason for chiding Israel and their support for Hamas and wider Islamism is that they hate seeing Strong Jews. Well, we know where these Nazi MI6 Placement Officers are here in The UK. That is why we say, f*** them. The Jewish People are now strong. So Get used to this. We're doing the job. Am Israel Chai.

While I agree with most of what you said, there is one thing I quibble with: you don't take the causal chain far enough. Jihadism can't be eradicated with military might alone, even when combined with media counter-propaganda. Once a Jihadist comes into being, then yes, force is the only way to eradicate him. But there is a period between childhood and Jihadism that can be influenced with education and a way of life that gives meaning and dignity, in competition with Jihadism. Even adult Palestinians who might support Hamas, either out of fear or out of no other good choices available can be prevented from becoming Jihadists. Import Sufis and put them in charge of the educational system. Give those who seem peaceful and willing land in the Sinai (need Egyptian collaboration) to farm and craft and get the hell out of Gaza. Have Israeli farmers help them prosper. For those interested in modernity, help them get jobs in the tech sector. There are many things that CAN be done besides force, and that MUST be done if we are to eradicate Jihadism.

Sorry Josh, but this article reads like a long kvetch. Not that it isn’t true, but feeling victimized isn’t going to give us the mojo as individuals or as a nation to change how the world treats us. Winning this war – along with every piece of territory that belongs to us – should be our main focus. That, and developing assets so powerful that we will soon be able to call the shots with allies and enemies alike. As long as we remember that our mojo comes from G-d alone, there’s no danger of us becoming over-confident, reckless or cruel. And no chance of our losing.

Recounting facts is a little bit kvetching but we have to remember and understand as king as the next step is action - and it has been since 1948. I wouldn’t worry.

Of course we must recount facts - and I support educating ourselves as much as possible about Jewish history - both ancient and modern. But we must avoid getting trapped in the quicksand of how the world views and treats us. Especially now, when the world has gone insane; embracing evil as good and good as evil. In the past Israel's leaders have become trapped in this quicksand; handing over Israeli territory we won legitimately instead of consolidating our wins and becoming more independent in terms of the development and manufacture of weapons. All because of some "shtetl Jew" mentality that kowtows to what goyim see as "the Jew’s place” in the scheme of things instead of creating our own vision for ourselves and doing what it takes to achieve it. I am 70. I've been visibly disabled (left leg amputee) since age 22 (from an accident) and discovered that when you view yourself in an empowering way you can achieve your goals regardless of what others think. Ironically, when you stop caring so much about others’ perceptions, it’s almost miraculous how those perceptions align themselves with yours! We are a miraculous people. This was confirmed yet again over the weekend with the IDF raids on Lebanon and the killing of Hezbolla’s leader, Nazralla. (BTW: His death has sparked celebrations across the Middle East according to this non-Jewish, pro-Israel influencer from Britain. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8WBjbS0qB9Q). Sure, we have to understand world opinion. Change it where we can. But that should never intimidate us or distract us from staying strong - and getting stronger. Because only strength will bring security – and eventually the peace we want.

This was such a precise and accurate piece. In Canada, bullying has become so very active in schools, etc. Teachers take courses to learn how to cope with bullies, how to help those we are suffering from this, and yet, the world is willing to reward bullies like Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran, Russia, China, etc. What a reverse way of handling terrorists. All this will do is give these inhuman creatures just what they want, proud recognitions and the right to go on bullying!!! How insane can things get!! Just wait until the day comes, and it probably will, when another 9/11 incident happens again, and it will, I certain, and thousands of Americans or Canadians are killed!,. I wonder if the US or Canada will just stand by or will they decide they have to attack and will there be campus groups setting up tents and yelling for Canada or the States not to attack the "poor Palestinians" the terrorists who did the damage. What has happened to the brains of the Western World and Europe!!!

We are either overestimating our importance to the world and the fight against radical Islam or the world is underestimating our importance.

Muslims make up more than 25% of world population and they dont like Israel at all. Israel is killing their Islamic brothers and sisters and it doesnt matter if its self defense and justified.

The Muslim countries offer the world oil, thay have growing populations in Western countries so domestically they are becoming a bigger and bigger voting bloc.

On the other hand, If Israel disappears tomorrow, how would life for the American or Westerner change? Would the Caliphate come to their town the next day? Of course not.

All in all and certainly for the short game, it would be far better to be on the Muslim team than with Israel. From a completely practical point of view, we are just not worth it. I am not talking ethically, morally or long term, I am talking practical short term.

Look how little value we have ..... Biden is pushing for a ceasefire cuz he does not want to lose the Progressive/Muslim vote in November. That tells you what he thinks we are worth. Not very much indeed. I haven't even gotten into the antisemitic component in the equation which hurts our cause even more.

In the end, we have to realize that we are on our own and need do the job we set out to do. Who knows who will be a real ally and come through and who will just abandon us.

Just yesterday, the President of Argentina blasted the UN for not supporting us and at the same time, our strongest ally, the US, made it clear if we go into Lebanon they will not help us. Go figure.

You forget one thing though, if Biden were to lose the extreme progressive (make no mistake, it’s extreme left and not normal progressives/left that is pro Palestine) and Muslim vote, the US risks losing democracy. Not to mention tRump hates us Jews, so losing to him is not a healthy option for the world nor Israel. Biden is pro helping Israel, he KNOWS it’s important, and he IS helping as much as he can right now. But at the moment it is in everyone’s best interest the democrats not lose. Unfortunately that means he has to temporarily appease them.

Iris, I disagree with you completely. You are letting mainstream media brainwash you into fearing the Big Bad Orange Boogeyman. The same media that lies about Israel daily, the same media that said Biden was healthy, the same media that makes Harris a superstar overnight. Oh and the same media that said if Trump won in 2016 he would start WW3 and that the economy would collapse. Guess what? Trump was arguably the best President for Jews and for Israel in those 4 years. Just the Abraham Accords alone would have gotten him a Nobel Peace Prize if his name was Obama. I really hope. you change your mind before Nov cuz it is true, if the Dems win the future of Jews in the States will be incredibly grave. Dont vote on personality, please vote on policy. papa j

I definitely won’t change my mind. Trump has been clear about wanting to be a dictator, he’s clear about hating Jews, just listen to his speeches where he’s clear about that and more. He’s a fascist 🤷🏻 and contrary to what you claim about the media lifting Harris up, couldn’t be farther from the truth. NYT, cnn, they want Trump to win because they think it’s better for their bottom line, so they don’t show any of trump’s dangerous ramblings which results in people, like yourself, miss the fact that Trump will go for a fascist dictatorship

The days of the Judenrat, "negotiating" with the Nazis under the illusion that saving a few Jews here and there would prevent the annihilation of the whole, are long gone. Hopefully the world listens to and heeds the speech to the U.N. today by PM Netanyahu. Hated by many but the perfect person for the time and place and the only one with the spine to stand up to the tyranny until the rest of the world gets their collective heads out of where the sun doesn't shine. Because, in my judgment, if Israel goes, the whole world goes.

A beautiful and succinct piece of writing.

If you believe that Jews rule the world and are Evil Incarnate, then anyone who hates and murders Jews is on your side. If Jews are Evil, then anyone who lives to kill Jews is by definition Good. End of story. So any barbarism against Evil Incarnate is understandable and laudable, and terrorism is not really terrorism. And those who fight against Evil must win.

The Islamists simply are doing the dirty work while allowing the antisemites of the West to keep their hands and their consciences clean. The world freaks out when Jews defend themselves because they take personally anything we do to hit back at our enemies or even to save ourselves. If Jews were ever, ever allowed to win, then Satan himself would triumph.

Those who hold this creed don't consider themselves antisemitic. Antisemites are bad people. They're just against letting Evil defend itself.

All Evil comes from the Jews so the Jews must die. It's a simple worldview that needs no complications. A five-year old would understand it. Which is why it starts being inculcated from infancy, throughout both the Islamic and Christian worlds. And those early lessons run deep.

How many countries besides Israel are forced by other countries to do anything?

(Note: I wouldn’t know, and likely neither would you, about countries being forced to do things by China, Russia, North Korea, or Iran. That doesn’t mean that there aren’t any.)

Ukraine has perhaps some strictures put on it by the United States (that is, beyond supplying too little and too late of everything).

I don’t know whether Japan still observes “voluntary” car export quotas pressured by the United States.

Greece is forced not to annex Cyprus by Turkey, and vice-versa; the U.N. plays a ceremonial “peace-keeping” role.

There must be others. Large parts of the world I don’t know enough about.
