Agree with every word. I’d just point out that tragically, due to the incompetence, cowardice, stupidity, and cravenness of so-called “elite” university administrators, occupying a university building isn’t “pointless,” since the schools freely allow these thugs, rioters and leftist traitors to get away with it.

When the pro pal thugs realise they ushered in sharia law, lost all their freedoms and turned their beautiful freedom loving countries into communist Islamist hell holes, they will cry, “Why didn’t you tell us this would happen?!!” And we will answer, “We did.”

A wonderful article which captures the majority mindset of the Pro Palestine activists. Basically, a great deal of ignorance combined with a healthy dose of antisemitism or perhaps the other way around, a great deal of antisemitism combined with a healthy dose of ignorance. All depends on the individual protestor. My true disappointment is not the protestors but the vast majority who remain silent. I marched for Civil Rights, I marched for Gay Rights ....... where are my people when i need them??? Now that is what we really need to analyze. ahimsa papa j

Every leftwing moron who supports the PalestiNazis should at least be honest enough to embrace their racist, homophobic and misogynistic Iranian Islamofascist overlords too. But since the followers of these to death cults are deluded, they only see what is regurgitated by the Hamas handlers

I CAN NEVER AGAIN SAY I AM

PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN

EVEN WHEN TRUMP WINS‼️

MY PARENT’s SUFFERING AS JEWS THROUGH THE HOLOCAUST TOOK ITS TOLL ON ME IN WAYS THAT I CAN NEVER FORGET‼️

Great piece. The quote from Huxley is priceless because it captures precisely what the stormtroopers of every revolution love to indulge in, bringing years of bloodshed in their wake. The elites academic and political who indulge and egg on these idiots of course like to keep their fingernails clean of blood, but they are even worse for their blithe encouragement of the Strelnikovs of this world. As for being a hawk on Israel, you don't need these thugs and their enablers to excuse or justify it. A simple reading of the history of Zionism, the Arab-Israeli conflict, and the Jews would be enough to make any sane person aware that Israel has no choice bu to destroy Hamas, take over Gaza, lock it down for fifty years, and then move on to its enemies north and east.

in my part of the world and in the circles I move in, there are a lot of people who support the ‘poor Palestinians’ and revile the ‘evil Israelis’ out of a genuine feeling of sorrow for those caught up in the war, although somehow the plight of the Israeli people is smoothly overlooked. These people still claim to be merely Antizionists and not remotely Antisemitic. Why they even know some Jews. It drives me to despair that they can be so moved by one side’s suffering but not the other.

What a brilliant and truthful article. These supporters are totally ignorant. They have nothing in their lives, this cause fills the vacuum. These idiots are planning on marching to the British Parliament to disrupt the state opening. I watched a deluded trans woman talking about her duty to do so! Her pronouns were they/them. I wonder how that will go down with Hamas??

Excellent article! Thank you this straightforward and honest view of this badly played out war both there and at home. Young people have no idea of where or why this is happening. They are the hapless ones spewing garbage they have been told to say. Sad.

To hell with the woke left, I say! I'm fed up talking about these spoiled children. Instead we must, without apology, affirm our support for decency, democracy and the rule of law. Which absolutely includes supporting Israel, the one true bastion of Western style freedom in a sea of medieval barbarity.

This article is a textbook example of biased, elitist rhetoric that dismisses legitimate concerns about the plight of Palestinians and the actions of the Israeli state. It employs a series of misrepresentations and false equivalences designed to delegitimize the pro-Palestinian movement and deflect from the core issues at hand.

First, the claim that the pro-Palestinian movement is simplistic and immature is itself an oversimplification. The movement is diverse and includes a wide range of people, including scholars, activists, and ordinary citizens who are deeply knowledgeable about the history and current realities of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Dismissing these voices as ignorant or insincere is both patronizing and false.

The argument that the pro-Palestinian movement reduces the conflict to a moral binary ignores the overwhelming evidence of systematic oppression faced by Palestinians. Israel's policies, including the blockade of Gaza, the expansion of settlements in the West Bank, and the repeated military assaults on Gaza, have been widely documented and condemned by international bodies, including the United Nations and numerous human rights organizations.

The author's assertion that anti-Zionism is inherently antisemitic is a deliberate conflation aimed at stifling legitimate criticism of Israel. It is entirely possible to oppose the policies of the Israeli government without harboring any ill will towards Jewish people. In fact, many Jews themselves are vocal critics of Israeli policies, recognizing the difference between criticizing a state's actions and fostering hatred against an entire ethnic or religious group.

Furthermore, the portrayal of Palestinians as the aggressors who have repeatedly rejected peace offers is a gross distortion. These so-called peace offers often entailed conditions that would have left Palestinians with a fragmented and non-viable state, lacking true sovereignty. The failure of these peace processes is not solely the fault of Palestinian leaders but also a result of Israeli intransigence and ongoing settlement expansion, which undermine the possibility of a two-state solution.

The article's description of pro-Palestinian protesters as engaging in antisemitic behavior is a sweeping generalization. While there are certainly instances of antisemitism and islamaphobia that must be condemned, it is disingenuous to paint the entire movement with this broad brush. Most pro-Palestinian activists are committed to opposing all forms of racism and discrimination, including antisemitism.

The author's final point, suggesting that the movement is a form of "virtue exhibitionism," is a cynical attempt to undermine genuine activism. People around the world, including many young people, are rightly outraged by the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the ongoing occupation of Palestinian territories. Their activism is driven by a sincere desire for justice and human rights, not by a need to be seen as morally superior.

In summary, this article is a clear example of elitist, racist, and Zionist propaganda that seeks to delegitimize the pro-Palestinian movement and obscure the reality of Palestinian suffering. It is crucial to challenge such narratives and continue advocating for the rights and dignity of the Palestinian people.

"Dismissing these voices as ignorant or insincere is both patronizing and false."

When Norman Finkelstein- supposedly one of the most serious people in the movement- can't even engage in substance when challenged on the facts, it seems entirely correct.

"The argument that the pro-Palestinian movement reduces the conflict to a moral binary ignores the overwhelming evidence of systematic oppression faced by Palestinians"

This argument, in turn, ignores just how much of a part the Palestinians play in their own oppression. Despite the power dispairty, and despite seven decades of being on the back foot, despite being offered concessions and a state of their own no less than four times, they would rather support a terrorist movement than accept any compromise.

"The author's assertion that anti-Zionism is inherently antisemitic is a deliberate conflation aimed at stifling legitimate criticism of Israel"

I used to think that- then I saw the "antizionist" movement behave in a manner completely indistinguishable from nazis. Let me know when the propals stop throwing Hitler salutes and tell them to "go back to Europe" (ignoring that roughly half of them are native to the middle east).

"Furthermore, the portrayal of Palestinians as the aggressors who have repeatedly rejected peace offers is a gross distortion"

No, it's just the truth. Before Israel even existed, the arabs decided they'd rather go to war than live next to jews, and it hasn't changed since.

"While there are certainly instances of antisemitism and islamaphobia that must be condemned, it is disingenuous to paint the entire movement with this broad brush"

It's entirely fair to paint with a broad brush when the behavior is endemic to the movement, echoed by its leaders, and not really denounced in any serious way.

"genuine activism"

If they were genuine in their activism, they'd have a goal more specific than screaming "FREE PALESTINE" while burning cars and smashing windows.
