Has anyone done research into exactly Who (meaning private companies) is supporting Palestinians (maybe Hamas and Hezbollah?) in the wake of 15 nations pausing contributions to UNRWA? The answers surprised this American, big time. They have to make it up somehow. And a lot of that funding stream began before the UNRWA pause.

My guess is Qatar and Iran.

Your guess is correct.

Joshua, everything you identified is exactly what is happening in this bizarro world we are presently living in. The UN and other so called "humantarian" organizations are corrupt and have been for a long time. If anything, the present conflict has unveiled their corruption and we're seeing the politicians for who they really are. The analogy that comes to mind with Hamas and Israel is the bad child vs. the good child. After many experiences, the parent does not go to the bad child for anything because they know the bad child won't listen and do what they want to do vs. the good child who they know will obey the rules and help them. The Arab countries know who they're dealing with and want them as far away from their countries as possible, and they will do what they can to keep it that way. The politicians and the humanitarian organizations know that Hamas will not pay attention to what they say, and will continue to do what they want. So, who gets the brunt of it all? The good child, Israel. However, there comes a time when even the good child has had enough, so let's hope this is how Israel is now feeling.

Granted most or all of that. However, I am curious about the perspective someone living in Israel. I believe that the only solution is for the Palestinians to have the hope of their own state if they will cease threatening Israel, along with Israel's removal of all Israeli settlements within Palestinian land. Likud's express platform is against this, and they seem to want to expand the settlements. I think there can be no hope of peace while Likud is in power. I am well aware of the challenges involved in getting to the goal I describe, but without the hope of their own state and the removal of the settlements, the Palestinians will never give up their fight. Hamas didn't really start until after Likud had come into existence, and Netanyahu cynically thought he could control Hamas and play them of against the PA, despite Hamas's avowed genocidal goal, which I think has been utterly counterproductive. While I believe in Israel's right to exist and defend itself, as a US citizen I do not feel good about the US supporting Israel while Likud and even further right parties are in power.

What the Palestinians want and what “the West” thinks the Palestinians want are often two different things.

There is nothing in history that shows that the Palestinians' goal is to have their own state, but there is ample evidence that shows that if the Palestinians had their own state, they would use it as a stepping stone to annihilate Israel.

Do you think the Palestinians need a state?

I'm not a Zionist. I'm not even Jewish. I am simply an Israeli who has lived in Israel long enough to have my own principled position, which I am ready to defend and justify every word I say.

States are not handed out as consolation prizes to losers. States are not given according to the principle that the one who is most unfortunate gets it.

States are not given as a calm to terror.

States create peoples with their own ideas and the desire to live happily in their national state.

Israel did it. The Jews had a centuries-old idea of returning to their homeland; there was the only people who did not lose their identity in foreign countries for two thousand years.

As a result, by 1948 the Jews had everything they needed to create a state. Land, cities, economy, infrastructure, social structures, political system.

The Arabs received all their states as a gift after the First World War, without regard to ethnic and political differences.

They already received part of Palestine and it became Jordan.

And now for some reason everyone wants to give the state to people who are not even a single people, and are even at enmity with each other.

Hamas is not going to give up the idea of destroying Israel; he is supported by the majority of the population.

Tell me, who needs a state that is incapable of existing on its own, hates Israel and does not recognize its right to exist?

Only to those who want to destroy Israel.

Do you still think that another Arab state is capable of resolving the conflict?

I’m a prof/lecturer at a Can uni who dared call Hamas Nazis on Li. The VP and her anti Semitic friend went ballistic and now they seem to be paying about five people to harass me, threaten me, accuse me of being a criminal and march me through some absurd internal HR system in which they fire me. Been off three months. Paid officially when they don’t make admin errors. The anti Semitic prof? No action. Hundreds of vile posts. And they are attempting to gag me and silence me. When they fire me the gloves will come off. The depressing thing is that while Jewish individuals are great, no Jewish org has helped. I give up on them. I realize they have bigger fish to fry. Ones like Hillel are more concerned about running Jewish parties and they don’t have time to talk to students about whether they should take a class from anti semitic monsters who want them dead.

It makes my blood boil!! The world is upside down! If Israel was taken over by Hamas, the world would be in mortal danger. Common sense has disappeared and fear has taken over. These useless world leaders are terrified by the Islamic threat. This blood thirsty, unforgiving medieval religion has nothing to do with Western culture. I say ‘wake up, pull yourselves together’ Get rid of this evil nightmare! We must do it NOW! We are so desperate and afraid. Apart from Israel, no one speaks the truth.

So is there a decrease in the antisemitic propaganda? (Your last paragraph).
