Yes, it is sad whenever civilians die BUT -- these people went into a war zone. They chose to take a risk. And it IS a risk. Obviously. It's a war, damn it. Israel can't go running around making sure they don't hurt anyone. But that's what people want to see and hear.

I think we should make a list of similar incidents to offer people. The two I most remember are the Doctors without Borders hospital in Afghanistan (which you mentioned) and Clinton's bombing of the Chinese embassy in Serbia. I imagine there's several from the fight against ISIS.

I thought this would be timely

In our history, when the Muslims controlled our fate, if a Jew wanted to pay his taxes or any debt, he had to remember never to place the money into the hands of his lender. Instead the Muslim had to take it from the hand of the Jew while the Jew extended his palms with the money. If by chance the Jew forgot and gave him the money directly, the consequences could have been fatal.

I fear that this philosophy is still prevalent today. It is the notion that the Arabs, and in turn Hamas, cannot understand or accept that “He hit me back.” They cannot acknowledge the fact that the Israeli army is so powerful and is not subservient to them and that now they must recognize its superiority. Their hate that is taught from a young age becomes so intense that it cannot abate. Our sages tell us that “Sin’ah mekalkelet et hashurah” – hate has no bounds and no explanation. People will do irrational things when they are motivated by their hatred for someone.

Biden is a two-faced?, hypocritical liar. What about the Afghanistan and Iraqi civilians accidentally killed during US wars on his watch, as either the President and VP? He said all along that Isreal has to wipe out Hamas, and then, when Israel is close to doing just that, he criticizes Israel for the Accidental bombing of an "aid" convoy? What does he think happens in War. The IDF is the MOST moral army in the world, but its soldiers are human beings who make mistakes. Over this whole war, the Israeli civilian to military kill ratio is the lowest ever, but that’s not good enough. Why didn't he blame Hamas, who started this war, cowardly uses "human shields", and promises to repeat October 7 again and again. During WW2, the allies dropped thousands of bombs on German cities, and killed thousands of civilians. Except for the Germans and their allies, who criticized these bombings? Or even the US bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. We did it to WIN THE WAR, and that is what Israel is trying to do. Hamas and their supporters don't care how many "innocent" civilians are killed, they think that by their barbaric behavior they will win and drive the Jews out of the Jewish Homeland. The only problem with that is that Israel won't agree. They won't permit another Holocaust. They will defeat Hamas, no matter how evil-minded you are in trying to tie Israel's hands at this juncture. Get off your high-horse and STOP your Anti-Israel policies, Immediately!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with everything you say. These hysterical statements are dreadful, especially considering the amounts of civilians killed by friendly fire in the Libyan bombing that Cameron sanctioned and the Iraq war by the Americans. It is a sad fact that war involves these tragedies. I was listening to John Bolton, Trumps ex security adviser, on the radio today. He said something very interesting. When asked about this tragedy, he replied, ‘it may surprise you to know, that the Israeli army is full of human beings. They make mistakes’ I think that this sums it up!

After the very sad incident that happened the other day, I knew the Jew hating news media, politicians, and public comments would be running strong, and I was not disappointed. This article points out the absolute ignorance, stupidity, and lack of logic when criticizing the IDF. They seem to have forgotten Israel is fighting a war. As you have stated, no other country has been held to this unrealistic standard, and yet, despite this accident, the IDF have done an impeccable job. I believe therein lives the problem. The Western leaders have thrown one directive after another to thwart the success of the IDF and have failed. They know they could never conduct a war in the same way the IDF has, but they keep hammering away. From what I understand, the World Central Kitchen was traveling at midnight. If true, why would Jose Andres, a known anti-Semite, feel comfortable sending these trucks out at midnight in a war zone? Again, because it's Israel, Andres makes bold statements about how the IDF "deliberately" targeted his people. So now everyone is "outraged." The new buzzword for Karine Jean-Pierre, Joe Biden, Jill Biden, Lloyd Austin, etc. They can add it to their repertoire of vocabulary that they use over and over again. And as for me, Joe Biden gets no pass. A man who can barely run his own country giving instruction to a country that deals with an enemy every day on how to conduct a war. Where's the outrage for the 1200 Israelis killed, the outrage for 96,000 Israelis that were forced to abandon their homes in the north because of Hezbollah, the survivors of October 7th whose homes were destroyed, and the hostages who may be living or not. Where's the outrage? Nowhere to be found. What is outrageous is that Biden and his admin claim Israel must do better and have a plan to do so. Well, the "geniuses" in the WH could surely come up with a plan that Israel would love to hear, except they don't have one. They can't even solve the US's domestic problems, and yet so delusional that they believe they can advise Israel. If Biden truly thinks he will get the Muslim vote because of this, he will be very mistaken and is choosing the wrong strategy.

Of course, the West created a large part of the humanitarian crisis it now complains so loudly about as it tries to lay it entirely at Israel’s feet.

Imagine just for a minute how different the situation on the ground in Gaza would look if the West had not acquiesced in Egypt’s locking down its border (to all except those who could bribe their way through) and had instead insisted that Egypt provide sanctuary for Gazan women, children, the elderly and infirm.

Instead, and without so much as asking what the Gazans wished to do, the West turned them into involuntary human shields and an excuse to throw Hamas a lifeline in Rafah.

First of all, can someone remind me of a war that ended with civilian deaths?

Secondly, have those states whose citizens died as a result of the unintentional attack done anything to end the conflict? I don’t mean calls like “let’s stop fighting,” but actions towards the release of Israeli hostages and the surrender of terrorists. After all, this is what will end the war.

Why is all the blame now being shifted to Israel? (I know why, I'm just emphasizing the situation).

Israel is at war with violent maniacs on a level most anti-Israel loudmouths cannot imagine. These are people who kill without pity, sell bodies and body parts, and take pride in killing children and women.

It costs them nothing to hide behind employees of international organizations, to use employees of international organizations in their activities and to be part of international organizations.

At the same time, when destroying terrorists, the IDF cannot distinguish terrorists from strangers if they are in the same car or in the same column.

I am very sorry for the people who died from the unintentional strike, but this is not a reason to blame Israel.

Joshua, I keep wondering how much of a magnifying glass the US is using to look into how the Ukrainians are conducting their war? After all, we are also giving them help and weapons. Only the Israelis are expected to never make a mistake while fighting these vile people. Is this too simplistic a thought?

I’m an Israeli-American and former IDF. I see the blood libel. But let’s not forget that we have no choice but to hold the IDF to the highest standard. Israel’s survival and reputation depend on it. Israel needs to formally and publicly apologize to the nations of the slain aid workers and compensate their families as soon as possible so they can get on with the business of crushing Hamas and freeing the hostages.

What do you expect from the culture that lives in the fantasy land of Superman and Iron Man; where they fight evil and nothing bad happens to the good guys. Americans really truly live in a fantasy land. The problem is that we Jews buy into the fantasy; Yitzchak Rabin told us that we can fight terror as though there is no peace and make peace as though there is no terror. Talk about idiotic superhero Disney World thinking. The sick thing is that we Jews bought into this fantasy and we still believe in half measures and 'hoping for the best'.
