Not only is Pres. Trump slaughtering another "sacred cow", he is slaughtering many "fatted calves". Lots of folks who have lived privileged lives off of the "suffering Palestinians" may have to find a different line of work.

Thank you for an interesting article....Our people were taken out of Gaza, in 2005.....that was 20 years ago......These " Palestinians " eternal refugees, should not return to Gaza......enough is enough.....we do need neighbors who Hate us and only wants to destroy our beloved Israel!!!!....Am Israel Chai.....

As you "translate" one only has to be Muslim....not even Islamist....Jews are a disgraced people, a debased one who rejected the prophet and have established an illegitimate state on stolen land from the eternal Islamic patrimony....that is willed by Allah for all eternity. Therefore they can continue the war in one guise or another...whether called Oct. 7th or Abraham Accords. Meanwhile asajews and asarabbis continue to spew nonesense and noxious views about so called ethnic cleansing...if not genocide....and take out NY Times ads with asajewcelebrities who are barely asajews to begin with.

How invigorating to read, yet after quoting Von Clausewitz on the art of war, the author then goes on to praise Trump for selling Ukraine down the river as though that is somehow a warning to Arab leaders.

Excuse me, but surely the comparison is more squarely between Russia, in its desire to destroy Ukraine, alongside the Arabs and their desire to likewise destroy Israel.

It's great that the bluff is being called regarding Gaza and the so-called Palestinians, but let's not rejoice in the betrayal of a different nation defending its right to exist.

Hi Mike, Just to clarify, it is meant to be an observation about Trump's actions re-Ukraine unsettling the Arabs, and certainly not an endorsement or praise of Trump's approach to Ukraine, which I agree with you on. Thanks for reading and commenting!

The promises G-d made to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob - repeated and elaborated upon through Moses and the Prophets of the Tanach, are confirmed and further elaborated upon in the Brit Hadasha. ALL that has been written in the Bible (Tanach & Brit Hadasha) will come to pass in every detail.

Despite historical failures on the part of her leaders and people, despite anything and everything (but G-d), Israel will eventually become ‘the head, not the tail’ of the nations (Deut. 28:13 et al).

The G-d of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is the true G-d; He is Holy and Pure; He is Righteous and Just; He is Love and the Source of all that is Good - all that has inherent meaning, purpose, and value; He is all-knowing, all-powerful, eternally faithful, and He will fulfill His Word, down to every exquisite detail. He hates evil, and He “…will call every creature to account for everything unknown, be it good or bad. The sum of the matter, when all is said and done: Revere God and observe His commandments! For this applies to all mankind. (Ecclesiastes 12:14)

Ultimately, this is the source of the travails of the Chosen People, as well as mankind throughout the Earth. This planet is the scene of a long-waged Cosmic Battle, resulting from rebellion led by the great Angel, Lucifer, before our first parents were created. His prophesied doom is certain, and it is inextricably tied to the prophesied destiny of the Chosen People. That is the ‘Root Cause’ of all antisemitism, all ‘anti-Zionism’ - and all efforts to do away with nationalism in an over-arching Global Order.

The ultimate target; the end goal, is for Satan to ‘defeat’ G-d by escaping his doom through elimination of Jewish Sovereignty in the Land of Israel; particularly, Jerusalem, and specifically, the Temple Mount. That desire to ‘be like G-d’; to be independent of G-d and exert self-will in His Universe (Isaiah 14:14), underlies all that is lamentable, tragic, and evil in this world - particularly the long history of antisemitism and sporadic attempted holocausts.

That destructive, evil ‘will to power’ on the part of Satan remains, for the time being. It will come to it’s prophesied end, and soon. But not before reaching a zenith of tragic destruction during a final all-out effort to wipe ‘Israel’ off the face of the Earth:

“7 Ah, that day is awesome; there is none like it! It is a time of trouble for Jacob, but he shall be delivered from it.”

Jeremiah 30:7

In the meantime, what is Israel; what are the Chosen People to do?

As the saying goes, ‘When you find yourself shoveling in the bottom of a deep pit, the first order of business is to stop digging.’

11 “Desist! Realize that I am God! I dominate the nations; I dominate the earth.” Psalms 46:11

And then, seek wisdom and direction from your G-d:

14 If only My people would listen to Me,

if Israel would follow My paths, 15 then would I subdue their enemies at once,

strike their foes again and again.”

Psalms 81:14-15

Israel has had ‘the Light’ from its very beginning; knowledge of ‘the Way of the Lord’ was first delivered to the world through you. But, like all of us; just as all human beings are predisposed to do, you sought ‘light’ elsewhere:

“15 For thus said my Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel, “You shall triumph by stillness and quiet; your victory shall come about through calm and confidence.” But you refused.”

Isaiah 30:15

‘The Answer’ is readily available to those who are willing to seek it out and receive it. It is fully expressed within the Tanach, but elaborated upon and brought into greater clarity through the Brit Hadasha. Many references from the Tanach could be given, but this is the ‘forbidden’ one that matters most:

Isaiah 53

1 “Who can believe what we have heard?

Upon whom hasthe arm of the LORD- been revealed?

2 For he has grown, by His favor, like a tree crown, like a tree trunk out of arid ground. He had no form or beauty, that we should look at him: no charm, that we should find him pleasing.

3 He was despised,shunned by men, a man of suffering, familiar with disease.

As one who hid his face from us, he was despised, we held him of no account.

4 Yet it was our sickness that he was bearing, our suffering that he endured.

We accounted him plagued, smitten and afflicted by God;

5 But he was wounded because of our sins, crushed because of our iniquities.

He bore the chastisement that made us whole, and by his bruises we were healed.

6 We all went astray like sheep, each going his own way; and the LORD visited upon him the guilt of all of us.”

7 He was maltreated, yet he was submissive, he did not open his mouth; like a sheep being led to slaughter, like a ewe, dumb before those who shear her, he did not open his mouth.

8 By oppressive judgment he was taken away, who could describe his abode?

For he was cut off from the land of the living through the sin of my people, who deserved the punishment.

9 And his grave was set among the wicked, and with the rich, in his death—though he had done no injustice and had spoken no falsehood.

10 But the LORD chose to crush him by disease, that, if he made himself an offering for guilt, he might see offspring and have long life, and that through him the LORD's purpose might prosper.

11 Out of his anguish he shall see it;

He shall enjoy it to the full through his devotion. “My righteous servant makes the many righteous, it is their punishment that he bears;

12 Assuredly, I will give him the many as his portion, he shall receive the multitude as his spoil. For he exposed himself to death and was numbered among the sinners, whereas he bore the guilt of the many and made intercession for sinners.”

Likewise, many references could be given from the Brit Hadasha, but this is the one that matters most:

John 14:6

6 Yeshua said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

May the Lord G-d continue to bless, protect, guide, and strengthen all Israel. May He bring salvation to all Israel, and fulfill His complete and perfect will throughout this world, ruling and reigning from His throne in Jerusalem. Amen.

An insightful article. Enjoyed the satirical jabs at the West's shibboleths.

A few observations, if one may:

"Especially fanciful is the idea that jihadists will change once presented with the opportunities that moving to the West will bring them."

The so-called pro-Palestinian street and campus demonstrations, the media using Hamas approved journalists and who often as not are Hamas operatives themselves, and many politicians also prove the idea of tempering intifada-jihadi values and goals shows these fifth columnists have quaffed the cool-aid. Note that after the current cease fire was declared, a senior Hamas official took to the Media and thanked a host of European and other Western countries for supporting them.

"To think [jihadists] is to demonstrate no understanding of Islamism whatsoever. You should block your ears when such people speak."

Better yet and far more effective is to read to the woke crowd passages of the Koran and Hadiths demonizing Christians and Jews and calling for da'wah, which is either the kufrs convert of face death. Got to lovethephilosophy: Peace brought to you at the edge of a scimitar.

"Suffering Palestinians is the strategy against Israel." Definitely a big part of it, but also a genuine and logical fear of these same people. I think that therein lies the dilemma. They are suffering, but they have been radicalized.

And yet, the question still remains: what do you do with this population of jihadists? Can they be disbursed in small groups somewhere and "re-educated" a la Saudi Arabia, while Gaza is rebuilt? I don't know.
