Every Jewish household should have at least one firearm for each adult, with frequent visits to the range to become proficient with the weapon, and to learn proper and safe handling. I have a carry permit and being a retired law enforcement officer I have additional authority under federal law to carry. I always carry when attending services for Shabbos or any Jewish themed event. If there is armed security at the location, notify them you are carrying and present your credentials or permit. A good axiom to remember is that when every second counts, the police are only minutes away. How long did the Bondi Beach shooters fire before police arrived? Ten minutes.

I always find your posts very interesting read as an Australian israeli but happen to dissagree with you that Israelis suffer less than palestinians due to the violence. Living in Israel i wonder what palestinians you are talking about as some Arabs in israel consider themselves as ethnic palestinians and i know that descendants of jews whom were born during the british mandate by that logic also could consider themselves palestinian jews but do not as they were born after 1948 and are proud to be israelis whom are forced to endure violence from Gazans ever since Israel left and beyond ! Suffering is hidden by many jews because otherwise israeli born jews could not get up every morning and be innovative with functioning lives.
