Thank you for an excellent history of Judea and Samaria and the importance regarding the archeological sites therein. I appreciate the work you do in providing these posts.

"Located in Area C, archaeologists are still working the site and it attracts its share of pilgrims. The Palestinian Authority, however, is busy building illegal shacks and agricultural terraces around it, obscuring the site, and waiting for the day they can build over it completely": why is Israel allowing this? Is this part of Israel being "nice". When are we going to stop trying to be so nice?

(I’m doing it this way on purpose 😉) As a Jew, we have 2️⃣ problems: we try to logic our enemies even though they’ve NEVER been logical (hello Amalekites attacking Jews who God just miraculously freed from Egypt) and we hate UN so much we forget it’s a tool.

Like any tool, you can use it for any reason. Instead of an IKEA Hack, a UN hack. With all the committees for all the treaties that do nothing but give an excuse to complain about Jews and Israel, the Jews need to start using them. File complaints about the destruction of religious and ethnic heritage sites.

The Marxist western reporters WANT to erase Judaism and Jewish history and Christianity as well. So, they have no issue with what the muslim "palestinians" are doing on those ancient Jewish sites. The marxists are all too happy to let the muslims do the heavy lifting to destroy the west, Judaism and Christianity. Then these two evil camps, the marxists and islamists will fight it out over the ruins of our civilization.

Just a brilliant shining the light on the truth. It is appalling and I can’t understand why there is no protection of these sites. It is wicked! Israel really needs to have a PR machine that goes after this relentlessly! People just don’t know! It’s very important.

The Israel settlements in the West Bank are illegal and Israel has no right to control where Palestinians live in the West Bank, as long as it has nothing to do with the internal security of Israel, which is the only justification for Israel's military control of the West Bank. Furthermore, the extent of Israeli control over the West Bank far exceeds what is necessary for Israeli national security, especially when Netanyahu completely dropped the ball with Gaza. All of which is to say that Israel has no right of ownership to any antiquities outside of its own legal borders.

Yeah, and Czechoslovakia belonged to Hitler, London fearfully conceded. Oh, but then Hitler came after London. The Grand Mufti didn’t come to Berlin just for mere talk, to strategize the murdering of all Jews while taking tea with Adolph. He was looking around for a German garden to one day invade, squat and destroy. Muslim invaders are now demolishing Europe. And Britain. And N. America. They are coming after your backyard…UN designation A, B or C…they hate you. These ‘Palestinians’ love destroying other’s antiquities as it all seems to prove they have no history where they invade. Israel however, endeavors to save all antiquities. Even pages of history dominated by enemies such as Persia or Rome. Bibi and Gaza? Gaza has innocent hostages behind a war machine. The West Bank routinely has knifing, sniping, murdering of innocent Israelis. Bibi is doing exactly what has to be done while fending off detractors who should be his brothers in arms. It all belongs to Israel. Won by defending against enemy attack.

Agree!!!!! And while we're on the topic of the Grand Mufti, I find it difficult to believe that I Hitler had had his way, won in Europe and then proceeded on to the Middle East, that he would have allowed Arabs to live unmolested. Just saying. I never hear anyone speculate on this, let alone any hint of plans for an Arab Holocaust. And yet, they are hardly Aryan. Just wondering out loud.

I never thought of that. You’re right—all tyrants use the ‘enemy of my enemy’ but only awhile then they are gone.

You are full of misinformation and seem to be consumed with racial and cultural hatred. I am not saying that Arabs are blameless in the conflict with Israel, but the Israelis and their jewish predecessors before the founding of Israel were and are not blameless either.

There is that sticky, seemingly intractable problem, but Israel still has no right to any territory beyond that designated for it in the UN partition of Palestine.

I am not sure what you are talking about. It is fact that Israel is not legally entitled to any territory beyond that established for it in the UN partition of Palestine. Besides which, the West Bank settlements and the apartheid nature of Israel's military occupation of the West Bank only exacerbate the conflict.

Regarding the the Al-Aqsa mosque, The site was only build between AD 685 and 691 by the caliph 'Abd al-Malik ibn Marwan, not as a mosque for public worship but rather as a mashhad, a shrine for pilgrims. Mohammed's dream state ride to the farthest mosque (the literal translation of Al-Aqsa mosque) according to Sunni tradition took place 26th of February 621, some 24 yers before it became a "holy" site. From the time the Roman's evacuated Jerusalem until 685, the site was used as a garbage dump, hardly a site sacred enough for the prophet to set foot upon, even in a dream.

Given unequivocal statements of intent written into Hamas', Hezbollah's, the PA's and Islamic Jihad's charters, if Israel allowed "The international community [to dictate] . . . the creation of a two-state 'solution'" Israel would be accepting the creation of a terror state on its borders dedicated to its destruction. No state in the world would allow such a thing to happen, but Israel is expected to meekly put its neck on the block to please its "allies."

Several points to note:

1. Judea and Samaria were renamed by the West Bank by Jordan in 1950 to eliminate any connection of Jews to the area.

2. The Oslo Accords are a dead letter because the Arabs signatories have committed what in contract law is called a material breach of contract by continuing terrorist attacks on Jews which the contract forbids and by seeking territorial negotiations outside of the contract, in blatant violation of another one of its crucial stipulations.

3. Jews are not settlers. They are returnees to the heartland of their unceded ancestral territory in which these indigenous peoples have maintained an unbroken 3,000+ year presence.

4. "Palestine" does not now nor has ever existed. It is a political fiction invented 60 years ago by Yassir Arafat. No such term "Palestine" can be found in the New Testament, Tanach (the Hebrew Bible), or the Qu'uran. In fact, according to Surah 5: 21: "O my people! Enter the Holy Land which Allah has destined for you ˹to enter˺. And do not turn back or else you will become losers.” That is to say, even the Qu'uran acknowledges that Israel is sovereign Jewish territory given to the Jewish people by divine decree.

I don’t know if this piece was motivated by the distorted propaganda of John Oliver’s recent Last Week Tonight West Bank episode on HBO August 1, 2024. S10/E17

If you don’t know what I’m talking about, go to YouTube to watch the episode.

Even better, to return to reality and see Oliver’s factual distortions exposed, watch ‘John Oliver DELIBERATE LIES on Israel-Palestine’ also on YouTube. Especially you, David Eichler.

Deliberate Lies clarifies the historical and legal realities. If you can contribute anything factual about the scenes shown and people quoted by Oliver, please speak up about that too.
