Well written and it is a message that all too many western leaders refuse to understand.

Briliant piece. The tension between Khomeinism and authentic Persian identity really comes through here. I've alwyas found it striking how the regime weaponizes "Death to Israel" while ordinary Iranians are chanting "No Gaza, no Lebanon" at protests. The historical parallel to Cyrus is particuarly powerful because it shows how deeply this ideologcal war cuts against Iran's own cultural legacy.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has been the worst blight on humanity of the last 45 years. Its demise would be an incredible benefit.

Well Now!

I am officially an "Enemy of the State" for the Antisemite government and companies.

Last week I was notified that I would be arrested if I entered England. Apparently, freedom has gone completely away in the (Not so) Great Britain! I was warned off by friends I have in the British Security Services, or I would have been tackled getting off the plane in April.

I truth I expected that; I have getting a "blow by blow" of the collapse of England. This is so sad, so many good times spent with my friends in the BAOR!

Out of left field, I have been professionally cancelled! I received a letter from a company that I was doing a collaboration within Europe. I am not going to give more details as my attorney has made clear that it would make it worse if I mentioned "Fokker Next Gen" (Oops...).

Since Hyenas rove in pacts it is likely my brilliant career as an Aerospace Process Engineer is over. As it was I was planning to retire in the next two years while finishing my contract positions. I haver plenty of money so please don't send blankets and cans of Cambell Soup!

This is actually good because it will give me more time to work with the militia we formed and my studies of the Torah which has become a three year expedition so far (Thanks Surak)! It just makes me sad that I won't be around to mentor and develop future engineers in a time when we are really off course and technology substitutes for skill and imagination. There is one exception and that is the work I will do for Israel; I will give the best of what I have left to Israel!

Well, that it for my whining...

I have no regrets, I stand by my free nation (USA), the Holy Land and Greater Israel with my Life!

We did decide on a motto for "Sword of God Militia"...

Be strong, Be Brave, Be Faithful!

היה חזק, היה אמיץ, היה נאמן!

God Bless you all!

Sword of God Militia!

I did research on Shahnamah and its author in undergrad MId east history course. National saga of Iran. Ironic that this regime is so ignorant of their proto Zionist historic record. As Bernard Lewis wrote, the Western archaeologists gave back to the Mid east a pre Islam history they'd all but forgotten. This regime didn't do what the Taliban did and destroy the sites "discovered" by the imperialist West. I believe this regime is ethno national and largely favors the Persians,,. the Farsi speakers, over Azeris and other larger national minorities. Consequently it is NOT "the nation of all its peoples" which is how Israel is supposed to win acceptance from such as NYC's newly elected racist in chief. It is rabidly Shi'a "twelver" Islamic with a strong eschatological Shi'a ideology. Yes...it cannot accept the Jewish reconquest the way it is for now accepting of Spain's Christian reconquest from dar al Islam. How can a republic with "Islam" in its name accept Jewish sovereignty....it can't. No love for Jews in any of the Arab nations including Egypt which has decided , I believe" to embrace their pharonic past....even though it too is an Arab colonial settler nation built on the Coptic Egyptian indigenous people.

Good article and lots of important information. What stood out to me was the quotation from Truman -- "I am Cyrus." I'm currently re-reading "O, Jerusalem" and the authors (a French and a British journalist) devote several pages on how hard it was to persuade Truman to vote for the establishment of Israel. They had to get his former parter, who happened to be Jewish, to go to D.C. and beg. This is not Cyrus; but how easy it is for just about everyone to fall prey to excess pride.

one of these days I'll reread this early seventies vintage book....whose authors tried to be fair to the "narratives" of both sides. That alone makes it unique. As today the so called "Palestinian narrative" is clearly the favored one in nearly every Mid East dept and some studies calling themselves "Jewish" but unlike say Africana studies disparages Jewish history and civilization.

Because his closest advisors were demanding he not recognize it. Marshall said he would vote for Truman's opponent if he supported partition. Jacobsen convinced him and after that he never wavered. The U.S. became the first country to recognize Israel after the Declaration of Independence. And Israelis recognized it. He was honored in Israel after he left office.

According to A.I. while the U.S. "quickly granted de facto recognition, the Soviet Union was the first country to grant de jure (legal) recognition to Israel on May 17, 1948 . . . followed by others like Nicaragua, Czechoslovakia, and Poland." The U.S. extended de jure status later. Also, "Australia was noted for being the first to vote 'Yes' for the UN Partition Plan in 1947."
