Such a heartbreaking piece. It reminds me of the 1992 Rodney King riots in NY and L.A. I was in NY and saw a black man randomly attacking a white student with a backpack in the west village, kicking him in the head and walking away like a fu#ing hero. I immediately called for help while the crowds and the police just stood there gawking at the poor kid. I don't know what happened to him but seeing the black guy randomly destroying cars and hurting innocent students made absolutely no sense to me. People are psychologically unwell.

Jews in America - acquire handguns and carry them on you at all times. You’ll be safer and you’ll make your community safer.

At this point, I can only agree with you while at the same time fearing that the hateful thugs will do the same.

You clearly don’t know the unnerving power of being shot at. Most thugs imagine themselves sneaking up on you and assaulting you, with you curling up in a ball not resisting. They are absolutely unprepared for you to fire back. Give them the shock of their lives.

Good point.

They will do that anyway, I suppose.

But you can’t say the word ‘antisemitism’ without mentioning that stupid word ‘Islamophobia’. It’s like a verbal tic. There is a reason to be afraid of Muslim thugs.

A phobia is an irrational and/or excessive fear or something or someone, according to the APA. It's not a phobia if there's a valid reason to be wary of Islam. And there is. Everyone who holds dear the principles of Western Enlightenment, imperfect as they may be in their execution, should be very wary.

Turkey was supposed to be a secular republic, but Erdgrogan ruined that. He's survived a coup and is courting the political Islamists to shore up his power as president for life. Turkey used to be the most liberal of the Moslem countries.

This is a most sinister and tragic story. We must find a way to deal with this. In London on Saturday, during one of the interminable Palestinian marches, a very brave man held up a notice saying - The Palestinians started this war on October 7. A Palestinian supporter ripped it from his hands and destroyed it. The police ran to help the man. The Palestinian supporter, who was wearing a mask was left. It is illegal to be masked during a protest. This state of affairs is soul destroying, we must fight it. However for me, the bravery of the young man, holding his banner, lit up the darkness. I will always focus on him.

First, it is particularly upsetting to hear about Jewish children being bullied in school. Why is nothing done about that? The article did not say anything about consequences, other than the fact that more and more Jewish children are leaving and going to Jewish schools. There's something very wrong with that. Second, this obsession with Jews having too much influence on everything is outlandish since we're such a minuscule percentage of the population at large. It is true that we have more awards, inventions, etc. to our credit than jives with the population percentage, but as this column has pointed out I believe, we are not the majority in anything. So, is it just jealousy? Is that what's behind this blind anti-semitism?
