She's that Jew. Listen, we're all that Jew, the Jew that refuses to dance to the antisemitic tune. I don't know how it is that they demand we get some sort of permission slip with a stamp of their approval before we insist the free speech applies to us too.

I look forward to hearing from her soon.

Thank you for writing about Bari and highlighting her many achievements. I have been reading her since her NYT period and I followed her to The Free Press right after. Bari and Brett Stephen were the only two writers I ever read in the NYT. She has proven herself to be a warriorette

I wonder how Stephen hangs on there given the atmosphere and the relentless antiZionism of today's iteration of the NY Times.

She is the best of us and represents and embodies what every proud Jew should be. Her parents did a wonderful job and we should raise our Jewish children like they did. We need twenty million more just like her.

Excellent essay, man. Twenty years ago the ascendence of a figure such as Bari would have rightly been celebrated as a celestial-scale triumph over sexism, homophobia and antisemitism. The response that is unfolding now is a testimony to the complete derangement and perversion of western values and civilization itself.

Listen up folks...the owners and operators of the legacy media are obviously aware of their utter impotence and irrelevance. So they are doing the only thing they possibly can; in a tradition as old as gold and money, they are harnessing their corporate infrastructure and leveraging their access to credit in order to buy their way back to mainstream relevance...by purchasing and alloying with the most valuable and relevant new media properties. The Free Press turned out to be...you guessed it...the most valuable and relevant new media property on offer.

Anybody who has a problem with that should stop their bitching, and get busy building themselves a viable new media property.

Bari Weiss is an admirable journalist and I am proud to say that I have been a Free Press subscriber since near the beginning. The fact that she has added so many talented people to her team is a testament to her capability and character. Love the article.

Have you ever noticed that when 60 Minutes journalists interview someone with another opinion, they interrupt the reply before the interviewee can finish a sentence?

And Dan Rather wrote a scathing op ed piece about Bari- because politics eschews true journalism. Pathetic.

Bari Weiss is so courageous. I am sure she is inspiring others to follow her lead. Two thoughts. In trying to figure out how and why the NYT arrived in the state that they have become, it occurred to me that some of their writers have come out of elite, prestigious universities and we now see what kind of indoctrination they have received. Are they even taught what the real meaning of journalism is, the basic principles? The second thing I would like to say is, in reading how she was treated for being a proud Jew and Zionist, I was so sick and tired of it. So senseless, so irrational, and ultimately so unkind. Recently, I have poached from another concept and I call it Anti-Semitism/Zionism Derangement Syndrome. An obsessive, poisonous condition that rots the soul. There is no treatment short of the individual coming to realize they have been brainwashed by zealots and deciding to search out truth and facts. They could start with Israel. There is plenty to learn, the history, the accomplishments of the Jews, the very beauty of the country and its people. They would be a better person having done that.

I remember reading about her exit from the NYT and had read that she wrote a book about anti-Semitism called, 'How to Fight Anti-Semitism." It was informative, clearly written and I became a follower of her. Then when she founded the Free Press, I subscribed and like, Future of Jewish, I've never been disappointed. When she got pushback for stopping an article to be published about harsh treatment in the El Salvadoran jail, I was not surprised. MSM would be salivating to hear about the harsh treatment of illegals sent there. But because Bari is a true journalist and a woman of integrity, she asked the writer to look deeper into the research and obtain more sources to verify all that was being said. Unlike, the MSM that would have run with the story because it would fit their narrative. Thank goodness for Bari and for making sure her staff practices real journalism.
