The Old Testament is called the Tanakh in Hebrew, not the Torah Law. In the Old Testament the Torah is still called the Torah Law. The Old Testament that is still the Tanakh for Jews, including for someone like myself.
Two, the New Testament is the Messianic Age scriptures, which in turn still aligns with the Tanakh, the christian Old Testament and whereby the Messianic Age scriptures that gentile believers in Messiah, should never have called themselves or aligned with the name christian either. The name christian cames from the Romans at Antioch, not God. Gentile believers are still in the Messianic Age scriptures/New Testament, gentile believers, followers of the way, brethren etc, not christians.
On top of which, the Torah has not just stayed within the Messianic Age, New Testament scriptures for everyone to keep and live by but it has also been expanded and taken to a higher standard of keeping the Torah Law, (often also known as Commandments), not to abandon the Torah at all, not ever.
Messiah said very clearly, " I have not come to abolish the Law, but to fulfill the Law. Meaning, to fulfill, to live out the Torah Law, everyday, without getting any of it wrong, without committing one sin. That is how Messiah was sinless.
That is why we have Grace, so we can repent when we mess up as human beings, that's why we have Yom Kippur
As in the Messianic Age scriptures/New Testament, also known as the New Covenant, we are still called to keep the Torah Law and if anything more than ever before. We are to search out, keep our hearts clean before Adonai
