26 nations, $17 billion, and no one will disarm the ideology that produced October 7th. They pledged billions to rebuild Gaza, but not to defeat Hamas.
Everything you write is correct and makes sense, but why is the Israeli government allowing this to happen? What are American troops doing in Kiryat Gat? Why does Israel not say the truth: The Palestinians have to go, out of Gaza, out of Judea and Samaria, and we will see to it that this is done because we are the people who have suffered at their hands and there is no living with them inside our country and the country is ours by virtue of our very long history and attachment to it and by virtue of international law since we conquered it from our enemies and we defend it against them. Period. Bingo. The money collected should go to the reconstruction of Israel which was destroyed by the recent war, not to Gaza inhabited by the criminal and depraved Palestinian population who are tooth and nail with Hamas and all the other pLO gangsters. The truth is simple. Selling a lie costs billions of dollars.
Indeed, the "board of peace" is completely unfounded; it's the wishful thinking of ill-informed project developers. It does, however, demonstrate that the "West" the author refers to no longer exists: the United States has failed to interest former allies, countries where the rule of law is still intact, in this unworldly project. So, it's best to leave "Brussels"—and also London, Ottawa, and Tokyo—out of it.
Hamas will be obliterated by force. More interesting is who will govern Gaza. Gazans are not victims. They are guilty and responsible for what happened to them. Brutal is as brutal does, and who better than Arabs to know it? Israel was as humane as it gets without committing nation suicide, as the West commits civilizational suicide. Wickedness and supremacy are in Erdogan and Qatar's sick minds. Board of Peace? Make me laugh harder.
Not a dime will be spent on Gaza, at least outside the “Yellow Line” which will remain under Israeli control until it decides to leave. No one is going to spend money where Hamas is still in control, knowing that it is wasted - whatever is built will be destroyed when, inevitably given its raison d’être, Hamas launches another attack.
What will happen? If I were to guess, after Iran is brought low around Purim (to make the point clear), it will be Hamas’ turn to deal with another of President Trump’s deadlines to destruction. And Turkey and Qatar will be powerless to stop the IDF from finishing the job.
Talk talk talk… Western politics has a history of trying to secure the future with the Drug of Words. It has never worked in the past, and it certainly won’t work in Gaza. The fact is Hamas are scum who refuse to surrender, even as they are now beaten militarily. They are trying to hold on by their entrails, using the presence of foreign Muslim BoP troops as human shields BEHIND the yellow line to replace the IDF (note the IDF/ISF wordplay, which is fully intentional). Thus the long game starts….when actually the 5 Billion pledged dollars would amply secure the deportation of the 2 million out of Gaza, both the terrorist Hamas and their Islamist supporters.
Let's see what happens after Iran's leadership falls. Everything has been dumped in the pot and nothing makes sense, but removing the "head of the snake," could start to give some clarity one way or the other. Or, it might just add more stuff to the pot. One thing is clear: Massive changes, historic changes, are happening and it'll be a while before the smoke clears and real reconstruction of the new Middle East can begin.

Board of Peace,🤔Why am I so sceptical about it. There is something off about it. Just a gut feeling.
Did someone mention fish?

Great essay. The famous speech by Reagan when he said “If we lose freedom here, there is no place to escape to. This is the last stand on Earth."
He was close, but apparently not correct.
Please, bury me in Israel.
