The conversation almost always turns to a single number: The United States currently provides Israel roughly $3.8 billion annually — but the strategic relationship is far larger.
And the haters will reply, as they constantly do, about a single accidental event 60 years ago: The USS Liberty. That has been thoroughly investigated, was an accident of "friendly fire," and yet the haters are still posting about it with lies in order to "prove" Israel hates America and is working against American interests. Note there was not a single suspicious word about Kuwait accidentally shooting down three USA jets last week.
I did the same, exact job as some of the guys on The Liberty - same MOS. I was actually stationed with some of them back in the 1960's.
That ship had no business being where it was. They were set up by the LBJ Administration for some reason we will never know. After and during the attack when the ship called for help the Pentagon purposefully did not help them. Those poor guys were sold out by The Democrats without any question.

The US has much larger international concerns than Israel but their particular region demands an almost supernatural level of attention which benefits BOTH countries. Despite all of this documented proof of just how extensive Israel's contribution is to American and western security, Israel gets no credit or gratitude for its invaluable contributions to the defense of the west. Instead, it gets scorned by lilliputians, smeared as "warmongers", a drain on America's economy, the cause of instability in the region and world, despite Israel being the only free, stable and functional democracy in the region.
People in the west are completely ignorant, uninformed, driven by Jew-hatred and so can never bring themselves to acknowledge they owe a debt of gratitude to Israel for being on the front lines, often alone in confronting the west's common enemies. But that ignorance doesn't stop such morons from public revealing their ignorance and hatred on social media and podcasts.
Governments on the other hand do know how important the Israeli contributions are to their own security but choose to remain silent about it and instead publicly rebuke Israel to pander to certain hateful and or stupid domestic constituencies. It's time western nations, including our own government publicly acknowledge Israel's contributions instead of treating cooperation with Israel as a dirty secret to be hidden from the public.
Supporting Israel should not be controversial in the west, being allied with Israel should be a given as a free, democratic nation.
That it is taboo in the west to defend and praise Israel is far more a reflection of how far the west has fallen away from its traditions and values than it is about Israel.
The Middle East's instability isn't caused by the region's only free, democratic nation Israel, it is unstable because of jihadist Iran and its terrorist proxies which Israel with America is finally trying to end.
The free world should be grateful rather than sniping at Israel and America from the sidelines.
But God forbid the haters admit that they owe a debt of gratitude to the brave Jewish nation and people of Israel.
The latest is Israel dragged the US into this war with Iran. It’s easy to sell as it’s an appealing narrative for those who lack critical thought and are already not predisposed favorably towards Jews. Trump’s inability to articulate a reason combined with his generally mercurial and untrustworthy nature don’t help.
Let’s stop pretending the world’s chaos comes from some mysterious “they.” The only real “they” is the Axis of Evil: Tehran, Beijing, and Moscow—three regimes united by a single obsession, destroying liberty wherever it appears. Iran exports terror. China exports surveillance tyranny. Russia exports chaos.
