Lucy, that is an outstanding essay. Our biggest blunder is not portraying what the fight is really about. We have not brought home the message that this is a fight between the Marxists/Islamists on one side and Western Civilization on the other. We have made it Jew against Muslim, Israel against Hamas, and Israel against Iran, etc. Our large Jewish organizations have done the same. People get involved when something affects them, such as feeling personally threatened. This is why we are being killed in the war of public opinion. We focus narrowly, and we garner marginal support. If we were to focus wider, we would garner far more support. A significant failure by Jewish leaders and organizations. papa j

We have been asleep at the wheel, and we are in a Niemoller battle for Western Judeo-Christian values based civilization in our own home, the West. Israel is simply the canary in the coal mine. We didn't want to confront the uncomfortable truth right in front of us, even at our own peril. This is not just a failure of Jewish leaders and organizations, it is a failure by all Western leaders and organizations, both Christian and Jewish, a failure to recognize& call out when they are being manipulated & "played" by being called "islamophobic" or "Zionists", or any other epithet. Look at what is happening across Europe. Listen to the dog whistles being blown, believe when someone tells you what they believe about you and your values, watch they way they live their lives, that is what they will do to you when they rise to power. That was very well said. The challenge is finding a unified course of action to fight it. The enemy is well-organized; they have infiltrated the education system, mainstream media, and Hollywood. Europe seems unsalvageable; Canada has just reelected a Liberal Govt that embraces multiculturalism and the entire spectrum of WOKE ideology. The only good news is that Trump was elected, and so many are putting their hopes that he will reverse the trend in the States. It all seems so overwhelming.

Read a recent substack posting about what happened in Kashmir last week. I think the bottom line is that all "nonbelievers" or "infidels" need to create their own critical mass to respond to world events. JMO. https://ellenginsbergsimon.substack.com/p/we-must-stand-together. I think the bottom line message is akin to Ben Franklin, "if we do not hang together, we will surely hang apart." I don't have an answer how to do that. I don't know how we get our legal systems back. I can only hope that voices will be raised, loudly, and we will reverse the course that we appear to be on.

As I sit here and think about it, I do know something that each of us can do. We can be very vocal and oppose and counter protest. But more importantly we need to be very vocal about this: If you choose to come from a nonWestern culture to a Western nation & culture founded on Judeo-Christian values, you, the person immigrating has made a choice to enter into a social contract with you new "host" home country, in return for the privileges of living and earning in that "host" YOU HAVE ACCEPTED certain obligations in return and you do not get the option of picking and choosing which responsibility you wish to uphold and which ones you get to ignore. Those obligations include, first and foremost, ssimilating and integrating into your new home, and to be a good citizen of that home. It is not the responsibilty of the Western values host to accomodate to your nonWestern views, it it your responsibiliy to accomodate to your new Western home, includes requiring that you respect and uphold those Western laws, values, and customs of your new home, learning the lingua franca, paying your taxes. That social contract requires that in a Western nation you respect that there is "no special treatment for you" because you are nonWestern, that you respect there are no blasphemy laws, that free speech means anyone & everything is subject to criticism and satire - no one and nothing is immune from that, that there is freedom of religion but that does not include "your freedom" to force your religion on anyone else (what you choose to practice within the 4 wall of your home is your business), [thank goodness we have the Establishment Clause in the US separating Church & State], that there are women's rights, LGBTQ rights, etc. No one is saying you can't have pride in where you came from, but you chose to leave it for another. If you do not wish to accept the obligations of that social contract, do not come to a Western nation. If you break the rules of the social contract, there are consequences. If you are a "guest" and not a citizen, you should be asked to leave. If you are a citizen and break the law, you should be called out, fined, prosecuted, I don't know, whatever your system has as its laws. These are the values we need to inculcate in our children in our cultures of the West. I am proud of my Western values. I have no problem with anyone from anywhere being good citizens and guests, but I do not approve of, nor will I be silent, when I see my system being subverted and the freedoms upon which we are founded being attacked by someone/some ideology that actually wishes me and my Western country ill. NonWestern nations require that those who choose to enter or live in their cultures respect and obey their customs, values & laws. We should require and expect nothing less. JMO.

An excellent article which I plan to share with my Hindu friends. I was very aware of the tragedy and posted about it in my FB group. We are less than half of a percent of the world's population, and if it weren't for our non-Jewish allies throughout history, we would have been extinct a long time ago.

Lucy, until 15 minutes ago I had no idea who you were. Now I will never forget and will actively follow you. What an INCREDIBLE essay!

• Your purpose and clarity would have been enough.

• But your style and prose… seamless weaving together of Jewish history, present dangers and the trajectory of continuing globalized ideologies… just unreal. DAYENU!

Yes. And not just the west. Any functioning democracy. India is a jihadist target and has suffered numerous bombing and shooting attacks not just in Kashmir but in Delhi, Mumbai (2008) and many other places. They see Hindus as polygamous infidels who must be forcibly converted or killed and India as part of a Muslim empire since much of it was under Islamic rule for 800 years

Excellent essay and spot on. Losers and self-hating Jews like Bernie Sanders and Nazi Jew George Soros (Schwartz) seem to ignore Jewish history. They will almost certainly be vilified and the first to be exterminated by the Marxists. George Orwell’s ideas are here to stay.

Shalom lekulam from Malta. I am Maltese and I am not Jewish by birth, but definitely I am Jewish by spirit and a proud Zionist heart and soul. I must say that yes, this is true, and people are not realizing that Israel's fight is each and every country's fight for freedom, the fight of the good against evil. I have always since I was a little girl been in awe of Israel, but as the time passed I literally feel an unseen but felt hand inviting me to Israel. I have never been so far, but it's as if I've always been. Most of my friends are Jews, I follow Israel news on various media portals (not on MSM), I opened a telegram channel named Malta for Israel, and I will be taking up Hebrew lessons as from next week. I had the possibility to lecture at University of Malta, in Terrorism & Counter Terrorism, and I had the possibility to highlight what Israel goes through every day, but also its counter-terrorism, its intelligence agencies, and its defence systems, especially thanks to the Yad El - The Hand of G-D...the Iron Dome. I hope that when flights resume normally I will be able to attend the annual seminar at Herzilya and meet my numerous friends in Israel. Happy Anniversary to Israel - 3000 years old 78 years young! Am Israel Chai!

America has become lazy, disinterested. We have achieved our glory, our crown civilization, so we are apathetic. Meanwhile, other former great empires have already fallen prey. We can see it in Great Britain, France, Germany, with Canada not lagging far behind. They will all soon fall to the Marxist-Muslim collaboration. We don't see it happening here. But, it is. Control of Dearborn Michigan, their own community in Texas. We have been warned, but either we won't listen or don't believe it. To make matters worse, progressive socialist Jews have fallen for the propaganda and have taken up with the anti-Jew pro-Hamas terrorists. We have very little time to reverse the tide or we will be swept up by the tidal wave of Islamic jihad. NOW, speak up, act up if your value your freedom and your life. Believe it or not, like it or not, we are at war. Fight now or die later.

Thank you for this.Hopefully it will provide a much needed clarity to those wandering lost in the dark. This year at the passover seder I recounted the very real Exodus of Jews to israel over the last 200 hundred years.

What was once a faith based mythology has now become reality in our time.

I call it proof of concept

Well said, but avoiding the basic truth that matters. A short time from now, the Messiah will be sitting on the Throne of David in Jerusalem. I know this Messiah. He's a friend of mine. What is coming is the death of the Satanic world system—that we mistakenly call civilization. This evil system is designed to produce, hatred, division, confusion, frustration, and all the rest. Satan works hard in his goal to steal and kill and destroy.

This was the reason for the Flood. It is also the reason for the soon-coming Jacob's trouble and the fulfilling of the prophecies of Isaiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Zechariah, the Psalms, many more throughout the Tanakh. We're obviously living somewhere in the middle of the coming of the Messiah.

We are watching the development of the on-coming Kingdom of Israel. What G-d is doing is all that matters. We must remain focused on Him and on hearing from Him. The warfare is between those who love and serve Him and those who hate Him. If we forget that, we help Satan. That is not good. Only the Lord is good.
