In the 1980s, my teacher colleagues told me that African drumming is every bit as complex as a symphony. I laughed and said, "Yeah, and as a Greek I enjoy bouzouki music, but I'd never think to say it's better than Brahms."
I was incredulous at such numbskull thinking, but at least that experience set me on the right path.

As far as we know, we haven't been asked if we wanted to play a role in God's creation. So the rule, "That which is hateful to you, do not do to your fellow," should be the criterion that every culture inherently adheres to as a minimum requirement.

Some cultures are superior for all the reasons you mention and we need to stop glorifying and excusing those that are not.

What exists in the US and Israel are better cultures because so many countries around the world are mostly despostic, the Middle Eastern countries first come to mind. Trying to say all cultures are ok and equal because when the citizens of these goofy countries come to Europe and the US they try to bring their screwed up mindsets with them and assimilation is not on their agenda and violence IS the result. The people who claim this lie are nuts in my mind. I constantly say too many in America, for example, speak like communists on the barricades but want to live like free-market capitalists.
