And speaking of hostages, UNWRA and the Red Cross both get a failing grade. Doesn't the Red Cross usually check on hostages? Even the Germans had a "model" concentration camp for the Red Cross to inspect, no? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes, the "shared humanity" comment is so ironic I'm almost choking. Re Barghouti: since the U.S. wants to make this 'solution' a global effort, including Saudi Arabia, here's a crazy idea. I've heard that S.A. has a terrorist re-education compound of some sort. What if ALL Palestinian terrorists are sent to that compound -- those who are currently in Israeli jails as well as those who are captured in the war going forward. That way, there's no bargaining to release terrorists for hostages. As long as there are terrorists in Israeli prisons, Hamas, or some new terror group, will keep taking hostages. Just a thought.

It is a black comedy! Some of these ridiculous suggestions are presented by clowns. The situation has become so fertile for these idiots to give their opinions that ignorant fools Lapp it up. No education, no idea but just open to anything that fills the vacuum in their empty lives. The whole thing is so shallow it is terrifying! Stay Strong Israel!

When Ukraine was invaded by Russia, most of the world supported, and continues to support Ukraine, in a variety of ways. When Israel was invaded by Hamas, much of the world sees Israel as the bad guy? Double standards? Antisemitism? Appeasement in hopes of other militant Islamic states not invading elsewhere?

I have a slightly different take on what President Biden is up to, and it’s part of the “never let a crisis go to waste” idea. First, I think it is abundantly clear that the US has green lighted Israeli military occupation for the foreseeable future. Consider that the US has announced that the pier it plans on building will be secured by the IDF. Since it will take at least two months to build and then will be used for many more months to bring in humanitarian aid per-checked in Cyprus, the IDF is going nowhere.

I do believe that where Prime Minister Netanyahu is concerned, his inability to chart out any future vision has more to do with keeping his coalition together than anything else. The straightforward vision of a Palestinian state can be articulated now and would gain Israeli support. The conditions are (1) that it recognize Israel as the nation state of the Jewish people, (2) it abandons the so-called even if legally non-existent “right” of return, (3) it be demilitarized, (4) it reform its educational system to teach the accurate history of the Jews in the land and, as a general matter, teach peace and tolerance toward others, (5) all of UNRWA’s duties and responsibilities are temporarily transferred to the appropriate already existing U.N. agencies or NGOs whose employees are vetted for any ties to terror organizations. Once these conditions are certified as having occurred, Israel is prepared to enter into trade and other agreements with Palestine.

If only Israel could bring itself to make this statement, the West would be backed into a corner for a very simple reason: there is a less than zero chance of the Palestinian rulers agreeing to any of this. If they want it all, they will continue to get nothing. Meanwhile, the Sunni countries not under Iranian domination will feel free to move forward with closer relations with Israel having given the Palestinians one final chance to seize the opportunity given them. In the end, they are not going to mortgage their own future and security to the Palestinian “narrative”.

You're right - there is no way the Palestinians will agree to any of it. Why can't the West (and even some dim-witted Israelis) understand that Palestinians exist only to serve their Shia masters - to fight Israel until either Israel is destroyed (and they can be re-absorbed by the greater Shia-Muslim world) or when they, themselves, are destroyed. They don't worship martyrdom for nothing. They are perfectly willing to be destroyed than to live in peace with Israel. Perhaps there is some hope if the Sunnis establish closer ties with Israel. Wasn't the Abraham Accords about this? If so, you can forget about it until the Sunnis have some protection from the West - meaning, the US. Which means Trump.

When I continue to read the baseless rhetoric of these Legacy Media shills, the Pro Hamas protesters, the Qatar funded university DEI/Progressive ideology, I'm starting to react, "This again, rather boring," and I'm hoping, that eventually their PR has the same effect. People are starting to speak out and are tired of the same script over and over again. We've heard it so many times, we have memorized it by heart and can write it. The same protests of zombies holding signs and flags, and don't have the knowledge of what it all means. The deadly equation - anti-Semitism + politics + ideology + money + stupidity = terrorism.

I hope you're right and their script will become "boring". But don't count on it. Mainstream media is playing on Western sentimentalism "big time" with stories about starving Gazan babies, etc. This ploy worked twenty years ago and it's still working on those with too much sentiment and little to no critical thinking skills. Sadly this encompasses too many Westerners.

I agree with you about the West, but I also think the noisemakers and their news media trumpet blowers are speaking to their own who are not as big in numbers. I truly believe it's because they're loud and the thinking people are not giving in to that noise. As for the West, they're a group of sniveling, cowards without an ounce of integrity who have no real interest in Gaza or the Palestinian people. They're afraid of the Progressives which gives them an inability to shut them up and do the right thing.

Let's think in military terms. This war has nothing to do with the so-called Palestinians. It's all about Islam's war against the West. They have a two-pronged strategy. First, they want to eliminate Israel and the Jews, who they see as their biggest obstacle in terms of real estate and influence. Without Israel the West would have no "foothold" in the Middle East. None at all. Which would give the Muslims an incredible advantage when setting up military bases, controlling air and sea, etc. to launch a world war against the West, likely with Russia's and/or China's help. Without Israel, Diaspora Jews would be reduced to the powerless state we were in during the 1930s, when Hitler’s first move was also to eliminate us and whatever influence we had in the world.

The second prong in Islam's strategy is its alliance with the Marxist “woke” hegemony in Western countries. Woke dogma discourages people from defending Jews since it insists we are “oppressors” and nothing else. With all those millions of Western Muslims exerting their political and financial influence – and with all their brain-dead woke allies - Western politicians are generally too frightened to oppose them. There is next to no will to defend Jews in these countries, as evidenced by our media and politicians. For example, Canada’s Justin Trudeau just announced he was going to use taxpayer dollars to fund UNRWA despite their complicity with Hamas in the Oct 7 attacks!

But pushback is starting. Denmark and Italy have started to restrict Muslim behavior and immigration. The Netherlands’ Geert Wilders has taken strong measures in this regard, at the risk of his life. Canada’s Pierre Polievre (Trudeau’s key political opponent; a conservative) has come out in favor of Israel. Biden The Demented can’t make up his mind.

If Trump manages to get into the Oval Office again, I hope he will be pro-Israel – if not for the sake of his Jewish daughter and grandchildren – for the sake of the US and the world. Liberal US Jews weren’t nice to him last time around despite the good things he did for Israel, including moving the US Embassy to Jerusalem, facilitating the Abraham Accords and drying up US funding to the Pallies and Iran. Let us hope Jewish Liberals have learned their lesson and vote for Trump in November. Let us also hope that Trump lives up to his current position of “non interference” with Israel’s military and promise to restrict Muslim immigration and power in the US. Because his presidency is the only hope we have of beating Islam back. Just as the world was pretty much doomed before the US entered WW2, we are certainly doomed if the US doesn’t take strong action to prevent WW3.

On your first prong, although you are discussing the military terms, I think it’s important to mention the religious mentality underpinning the strategy. In Islamic scripture, it is the Jews who are cited as being Islam’s foremost enemies. It follows that they must be defeated first, if for no other reason than they are the “strongest” in their enmity and their defeat, according to this paradigm, will demoralize the Sunday people who are the next target. The goal was set by Mohammed in his dying direction to the faithful to keep fighting the House of War until it is subdued and Islam triumphant in the world. People don’t fight primarily for land, they fight for an idea that is bigger than they are and whose success, consequently, promises them a type of immortality. Of course, the prospect of 72 virgins doesn’t hurt since, by definition, you believe in the reality of that proposition too.

As an aside, let’s also remember with Ramadan whose beginning has just been announced in Saudi Arabia, that there are four holy months of peace in the Islamic calendar and Ramadan is NOT among them. In fact, some schools of Islam maintain that if you die fighting over Ramadan who gain additional credits from Allah, and, not for nothing, the Yom Kippur War was launched by Egypt and Syria’s combined surprise attack on and fought during Ramadan.

Undoubtedly the Muslims' religious enmity towards Jews plays a big role but it's the military reality that Westerners cannot afford to ignore. Non-Jewish Westerners, with the exception of certain righteous gentiles, have typically ignored the plight of Jews over the centuries and too often, contributed to it. During WW2, the region now called Israel was protected by the British - and Muslims didn't play a key role as combatants against the Allies. In WW3, there will be Muslims controlling the region called Israel (G-d forbid). Modern, well-armed Muslims, aided likely by the expertise and weaponry of the Russians and the Chinese. At which point it will be too late for US and NATO forces to attack the Middle East. Their forces would be wiped out while Western Muslim insurrections (aided by the same young "woke" pawns who are participating now in anti-Israel demonstrations) would drain their resources for keeping order at home. That's something the WW2 allies never had to contend with.
