On October 7, the Hamas terrorists were armed, the Israelis massacred were defenseless. The unanswered question is why did Israel disarm its citizens most of whom are IDF veterans and leave them vulnerable to mass rape and murder by Hamas? An incredibly stupid decision and the Israeli government is clearly culpable. Every Jewish family in Israel (and the US) should have a 9 mm handgun, an AR15 rifle and plenty of ammunition for both. Every adult and teenage member of the family should be proficient in their use. Have anti-gun Jewish politicians in both countries learned nothing from the Holocaust and the latest slaughter? Isn't it time for the Jewish people to tell them to go fuck themselves?

Mr Goldman, I have to tell you that Hatred against Jews and Anti-Semitism are both now backed by Elements of the British State here in The UK. Our full monitoring of these developments over the last 30 years is with The Community Security Trust (The Jewish Defence Organisation here in The UK which is the equivalent of The ADL in The USA). Parts (I stress that this is only a Part, so far) of MI6 have actually gone as far as to Re-Form The NAZI Party here in London with their Nazi German comrades. All of these facts are now on the record here in Europe. There is a Time for Peace and a Time for War. These Nazi Elements have chosen War. Our reports substantiating and proving these facts are available through Josh Hoffman here at Future of Jewish. For The Jewish People of the Diaspora, it is now time to make Israel our home.

The title of this essay unfortunately obscures the most important issue it addresses. The title should read, "Will Jews know when it's time to go?" Looking back at the Nazi era, it's clear that there were Jews who understood that the writing was on the wall and that the gates were closing. Jews like Einstein, Freud, Marcuse, and Arendt went to England and America while the masses were still wondering and hoping that it would all blow over.

Saul Goldman's essay forces Jews who have been living comfortably and safely in countries like England, France and the United States to begin asking themselves, "How much longer will this peaceful interlude last?" And, if things continue to grow worse, have I thought seriously about what leaving entails?

Uncomfortable, disturbing thoughts to be sure. But, no longer avoidable...

Maybe. A fine well written short essay. Informed from a rich experience in a living Jewish community. Fine. However, it is somewhat binary i.e. to go now or go later. Whereas, although I am sure I don't have the knowledge that you have on these subjects, might I suggest that in some way, as many note 'something changed October 7'. The recognition of that change was like a nuclear mushroom cloud over merely 24 hours. The big bang. A new beginning. Not to be confused with the past similarities. Perhaps? There are perhaps 20-30% of Jewish persons who know little of any use or practice of the Jewish Culture (I prefer that term). Perhaps, another 10-30% of Jewish persons absolutely hate people who have a 'traditional' adherence to Torah practices. The remainder of whatever percentage have all sorts of varied viewpoints so are not a pure cohesion. It seems to me as a fairly newish learner about our Jewish Culture, that a) most of 'The Us' have or had thrown the baby out with the bathwater. The baby being one of the elephants in one of the rooms. That baby elephant is Torah. Regarding the American Jewish phenomenon that you are mainly referencing was, in my experience in my youth, convinced that Jewish Values were what counted most. I would not have really know what Torah Values were in my youth. 'The We' were led astray by our own. We accepted, generally speaking of course that Jewish Values helped make America special. They did. But those same 'values' putsch-ed out the Torah as a living guide and Cultural Treasure. Except for a certain percentage of American Jewish communities which held firmly to Torah Values and their practices. October 7 Plus is, in my not so humble sense, demands 'The Us' i.e. the largest percentage of the willing Jewish persons to accept that there is a HUGE LESSON being offered. That is one of the most primary mitzvot i.e. the daily study of Torah with the purpose of deepening one's practice. Practice makes pretty good. Pretty good is drastically better than relying as in 'lying' about Jewish Values and the fab numbers of Prize Winning Jewish persons. By the way, I am 'pretty certain' that the other Abrahamic faiths and all of their warring factions have a 'reckoning' unfolding and an equally HUGE LESSON of their own NEW form of 'teshuvah'.

Thank you "that DUDE". Yes Tovia Singer I've been viewing for about 4 years or so. He's doing a remarkable job for everyone. I also watch Rabbi Chaim Richman quite regularly i.e. most weekly Parashot, plus he has a once a week hour chat related to the Parashot. His colleague is an anthropologist (maybe at an amateur level?) and is a deeply committed and knowledgeable Noahide. They're on youtube. There are lots of resources for us all at any level. Chabad org site is phenomenal as a long term resource. I'm 72. Fit. Early morning training most days incl Mon and Thurs early cycle to shul for 6am Shachrit. Live in Australia. Be well and thanks for writing.

Hi That DUDE, Thanks again for a fresh reply and communication. I must have written 'anthropology' but I meant Archaeology. Rabbi Richman's weekly conversation chevrusa is a Noahide and a Archaeologist with a specialist interest in Egyptology/Exodus etc. Richman's son is a Biblical Archaeologist. Most of the Israeli Jewish archaeologists were 'secular', atheists, and often anti-religious. There is a small but growing number of Practicing even 'frum-ISH' Jewish Biblical archaeologists. There have always been great Biblical Archaeologists who were and are xtians. Several are completely outstanding!!!!! But... they still have not studied what Tovia Singer is explaining in great details about the famous schism between Torah/Tanach/Talmud and the 'other' i.e. xtian offshoot(s). So the several fabulous Biblical Archaeologists who are xtian are also proselytizers. As are the Jewish persons who have 'flipped'. What the xtians did for 2000 years is demonic. They try to slide in their 'answer' as if all the xtians actually practiced what they preach. When in fact... they can not even pray together and have 100s if not 1000s of ongoing feuds amongst themselves. To be sure... 1000s have seen that Tovia Singer is dealing with hardcore FACTS of main written texts and they have found that studying and becoming true Noahides is a great 'mitzvah'. Regarding Chabad - 'don't shoot the messengers' i.e. whatever some or even many of the 'popular' speakers open weaknesses are - in truth by the 1000s Chabad Rabbis are true servants to their 1000 or so Jewish Communities; but, also to us independent individuals including several who have been there for me for decades. They continually offer true hospitality in the footsteps of Abraham. It is important to understand that the 7th Lubavitcher Rebbe was adamant that We are One. He understood the severe circumstances that many of us were 'really' Jewish but did not really know what that entailed and what kind of effort is required. So he offered us 'baby steps' such as his suggested 10 Mitzvot Campaign which actually simply suggested for most of Us such as me... start with ONE mitzvah that you can accomplish and hold to and maybe some day you'll be ready for a 2nd mitzvah etc. Around 5000 Rabbis and Rebbetzins were fully educated under his direct overseeing from the late 1940s to the early 1990s. His own daily dedication and personal approach was beyond any other single leader I have ever read about in any field. As a man he was continually offering his hand to ALL types of individuals as a daily norm of his. Further, he had VERY advanced secular education at Berlin University with the highest master professors in science and maths. Several other GREAT future Rabbinic Leaders 'happened' to also be studying secular subjects there and then i.e. Berlin University in the 1930s. That is a story in itself. Rabbi MM Schneerson and Mrs Schneerson then went to Paris for him to further his advanced study using math and science, I think then applied to studying some field of engineering? When it came time to leave and to go to NYC to assist his Father-in-Law the 6th Rebbe of Lubavitch - I think MM Schneerson had to serve as an indentured immigrant for the US Navy at the Brooklyn Naval Base. Theoretically it is believed or may be that Rabbi MM Schneerson was working on Top Secret developments for the Navy. There are several videos of Israeli Prime Ministers just after their first and likely only meeting with the Rebbe (7th). A) they were totally awestruck with the Rebbe's in-depth knowledge of military strategy. They noted some of his SPECIFIC advice. Several of them when directly against the specific advice regarding lands acquired via defending the new State of Israel from major attacks. It is possible had the Rebbe's SPECIFIC advice to several Israeli Prime Ministers such as Begin, Rabin and I think others been heeded and adhered to .... our world and the world as we know it may have been in a somewhat better situation. Those videos are on youtube. Every organization of 20 or more people ... needs continual supervision.

There can never be a better time to make Aliyah than now, if you are able.

Also worth noting, the Social Security agreement with Israel says neither Israel nor the United States will tax Social Security benefits received in Israel.

This could be a big help for some.

Well, you can wait for Armegeddon, but it's shaping up pretty quickly.

Germany re-arming would have been front page news just a few years ago, Biden has forced Russia and China to work out their differences and move into mutual alliance with Iran, just as Prophesied.

There is a Christian site, very pro Israel, that goes into much detail relating current events to prophesy .and God's law, The importance of Shabbat and Kashrut and the Holy Days instead of the Counterfeit Churchian Holidays, just all in all a very useful site though I don't agree with evry detail, most by far seems entirely valid.
