The fact that Gazans and many in Judah and Samaria as well as in places where Muslim live were dancing in the streets on October 7th asks the question: who are the innocent Palestinians!

Many of them not only danced, but also rejoiced. Many of them fled and followed Hamas militants, participating in brutal killings, rapes and kidnappings. They filmed it and shared it on social media. (how strange that all their defenders forgot about this). Moreover, they filmed how they took the bodies and mortally wounded Israelis as trophies. They filmed how they all together (yes, these were “innocents”) finished off the living and the dying, how they tortured the bodies and were proud of the fact that they beat, killed and raped the bodies. It was the triumph of pure evil, these were the faces of cannibal maniacs. They were ready to attack each other just to get blood on their hands.

And this continued for more than one day, and more than one week. They rampaged through the streets, celebrating death, rejoicing in blood.

If you want to feel sorry for the victims of war, feel sorry for the Ukrainian children who are deliberately bombed every day by Russian planes and missiles. If you want to have pity and feed the hungry, have pity on the starving countries in Africa that really need it.

If you want to take care of someone, take care first of all of those who deserve better than ugly, deceitful people who are thirsty for murder and violence.

I also know how to have compassion, but I will feel it primarily for those who need it.

Those who support evil multiply it.

In a dictatorship, the citizen is demoted to a subject. "Don't you worry anymore about making decisions, Big Brother is making them for you."

Daily life is about staying out of trouble, about survival and the State provides you with the intelligence needed to function according to their rules.

It's not much use to blame individual Gazans (or Russians for that matter) for the atrocities committed in their name by the hijackers of their society. They are the primary victims of the bandits.

I couldn’t agree more, and have been saying this all along.

The next question, however, is obviously what to do about it as Israel has committed to eliminating Hamas. Does this mean deliberate unaliving of most or all of the complicit population as well?

Or for the Armenians, Somalis, or, or, or…

I like your idea of shipping the extremists to China.

The question of innocence is a question of which crime and according to which system of judgement. Also, crimes committed in civil times are different than in times of war. There is no parallel in human history of having a terrorist group of 50K men embedded in the civilian population which at least seems to support it, so international law is not very useful. Gazan population should raise the white flag and allow to be questioned by Israel and assure verbally that they have no intention to cause harm to any Israeli. This is the only way to resolve the question of innocence.

The children are the innocent, there comes an age when they know what is right and what is wrong but before that, they are innocent. Sadly too many are being brainwashed.

I would warn against using the words “Innocent Palestinians” as it implies children. “Innocent Hamas supporters” might be more appropriate.

“The question we must wrestle with is whether, or within what limits, a man is a free agent in a sense which makes it reasonable to hold him responsible, to praise or blame him, for what he does or omits to do. The Jewish answer is that, even at the cost of his life, a person must resist evil. …”

The continuation is purposefully omitted. Primarily because conditioning is a significant question and the continuation is a conditioning that originates in fear and not that fear of God which is the source of wisdom.

Fear of God can be fostered from the fear tactics of the terrorists. More the type of Nineveh when Jonah announced the coming ban. There are much healthier origins in seeing God as Father in the light of family as the order God desires in His first command, “Be fruitful and multiply.” To see goodness in the created order is a better path to the wisdom only found in the fear of God.

But we are stubborn and foolishly fail to surrender ourself to His greater plan for our own good. But what if you did not even understand this personal love in the experience of God’s greatness?

Those of Islam are taught not to respond to the inner voice that reminds us who we are and whose we are. They read and practice in such ways as to deafen the truth of our inner sanctity, our destiny in being formed in God’s image. So, yes, there is much to measure in finding the good in even our enemy. Who are the innocent Palestinians and how can conditioning these have undergone be weighed in this judgement?

Breathe before you respond as you raise your banner claiming abortion is healthcare. Conditioning is a metric in what is innocence.
