The sum is most definitely greater than the parts except for one crucial part. This administration and Trump in particular uses Israel for its own interests, then abandons it when it suits him, treating the Jewish state as some kind of lap dog emboldened to him when it is the exact opposite.
It reminds me of the classic story of the compulsive guy who bets the house on the long shot in a race. The horse is falling behind, way behind, half way through the race. The desperate bettor begins imploring God to save him, promising “Teshuvah” (rehabilitation of his ways). His horse begins gaining ground. The guy is heartened and starts doubling down in the home stretch, his vows becoming more emphatic, “ Please God, help me this one time, I’ll never cheat on my taxes, wife, squander my inheritance, on and on.

An excellent accurate comment. The depths to which the current administration has sunk to protect US interests at the expense of profound disrespect for Israel. The only country which stood shoulder to shoulder with the US and outperformed its counterparts. I find it ironic that the US depends upon Israel when they need strategic and tactical help but later, while, inexplicably, telling Jerusalem to hold back when attacked by the usual pack of barbarians. Israel endures rocketing and crossborder attacks by Hezbollah and Hamas, regularly, and unless I miss the mark DC is not being physically attacked daily as is Israel.
Personally I don't think Israel has to live with any consequences. They were not present at the latest negotiations. They did not sign anything. They are absolutely diplomatically free to continue undermining Iran - and they should. Just keep saying, "I never signed anything."

VP Vance appears to hold isolationist view of foreign policy in Republican Party and is influenced by characters of Carlson variety who see Jewish conspiracy everywhere and anybody who, like Iran wants to get rid of Jews is an ally and friend of U.S. If this is the case (VP is in charge of Iran policy now), it would explain that MOU which is basically surrender to Iran's demands .
He was told in no uncertain terms by Xing Ping. His demeanour changed completely when he returned from the Chinese trip. Instead of showing courage and strength it became appeasement and capitulation of everything he stood for before.
