Yep. Jews loved boxing. Its because its a sport that all you needed was a pair of gloves and nothing else really. Plus it was finally allowed for Jews to defend themselves. Heck, my father who was a first generation American, boxed in the Golden Gloves, and even when he enlisted in the Navy.

What a wonderful history lesson on the positive impact Jews had and still have in America! I love it being a Jew myself! It’s hurt to se the Antisemitism that has arisen in America today. It would do well for the universities in America to teach this wonderful history lesson that every student should be required to read! Thank you for this history lesson here on Substack!

I dare say that no one but the Jews in this world could ever go through that we as Jews has ever suffered as we have throughout history in this world!

The notion of establishing standardized objective tests to keep Jews out of universities or professions is hilarious. Jews are happy with a level playing field.

I made Aliyah in 1979 and have 3 adult children, all of whom served in the IDF but at the moment live outside of Israel - but have been deeply affected by the events of 7 October 2023 and the aftermath. But I still believe that the Future of Jews is in the Land of Israel. I'm not religiously observant. Home is where the heart is, and the Jewish heart is in Israel. Sport was a way out of poverty - it still is - hence the American university sports scholarships.

The funny thing is those Anglicized names are now fully seen as Jewish too. Like Gold.

Abraham the father of the faithful, was the biological father of the Jews, Israel, Hebrew and through his son, the son of David, King Jesus Christ of Nazareth, salvation was extended to the world, that is the greatest Jewish contribution
