Excellent essay. Agree with everything except your characterization of your posts for the last two years of having "limited success." Every post of yours has been exceptional. You cannot convince all Jew haters not to hate Jews. You might reach some, but can never reach all. You can explain Zionism as the successful efforts of an indigenous marginalized oppressed people to return to their homeland and reclaim nationhood through blood, sweat, and tears, and might reach some entrenched anti Zionist, but can never convince all. The devil spawned worm infecting their brains shields them from reason, logic, and morality. So don't be hard on yourself. Your essays and clarity are among the best.

Excellent writing. 850,000 expelled from Arab countries no one talks about this. The regimes there fear their citizens will sooner or later want their freedom so they brainwash them early utilizing Islam to control their thinking. They are all disgusting and deserve death. Love what is happening in Iran.

I am 78. All of this anti Jew anti isreal is simply a cover. This is a world wide Muslim religious

War. The UK, France Spain Belgium Ireland Australia Canada Portugal Sweden Finland Norway Australia have been invaded and are now Muslim conquered and controlled countries. They are no longer Western countries. The US is under invasion.

Please think about how your children are going to survive this. How are my children and grandchildren going to survive this?

Thank you

Excellent article. As a non-Jew, it provided much needed context in a clear and concise way.

Excellent piece. But what I find to be the most challenging part of pointing out that antizionism is merely the latest manifestation of anti-Jew hate is that its proponents often point to the many Jews who, themselves, are antizionists, or against Zionism - note, that I prefer to use the unhyphenated spelling of this term, as recommended by Adam Louis-Klein.

Superb essay. I will only add that the history actually goes back more than 100 years. In 1918 the Yevsektsiya is established to persecute traditional Jewish identity and those who teach and support it. This includes Zionism. In 1920, the Nebi Musa riots fueled by Haj Amin Al Husseini ("Palestine is our land; the Jews are our dogs.") Nazi Arab radio in the 1930s and early 1940s spread similar libels to what we hear today (though they didn't use the term genocide, since it was not yet invented... instead they accused Jews of wanting to annihilate the Arabs; the Nazis spoke of Weitzmann as people speak of Netanyahu today; the Nazis invented the myth of "Greater Israel", accusing Zionists of wanting to colonize Egypt Jordan and Lebanon).

So in fact, antizionism does not require Israel to exist. Merely the "threat" of a land for Jews existing is enough to spark violent paranoia across the globe. This is because of how politically useful it is to demonize Jews, as you point out.

Remarkable essay, articulated with clarity and restraint. You must continue to expose anti-zionism for what it is.

I’ll say it in two words and one symbol: ANTIZIONISM = NAZISM.

Throughout history, relentless efforts have been made to eradicate the Jewish people. These endeavors, however, have consistently failed to achieve their malicious objectives. The resilience and continuity of this community stand as a testament to their enduring spirit. Despite persistent persecution, the Jewish people have not only survived but have also thrived. Their historical journey underscores a profound and unwavering strength in the face of adversity.

“Zionists:” Smotritch, Ben-Gvir, Netanyahu, Kahanists, Daniella Weiss, etc.

Being against, or anti-, them is antisemitic.

Why?

Because they speak for/represent the Jews.

I used to believe otherwise, but thanks to Lucy, Bari Weiss and many others, now I don’t

It is a misguided survival strategy. "Fawn" trauma defense, i.e. they want the lion to eat them last or imagine it will spare them.

Yevsektsiya, Antizionist League of Baghdad, Association of German National Jews that supported Hitler, conversos in Spain that became inquisitors... there are many historical precedents. The antisemitic and antizionist Jewish groups were taken down by the very regime they once supported once the Overton window shifted and any Jewish political organizing at all became a criminal act.
