Twenty-five years ago, Jews went to the “United Nations World Conference Against Racism” to fight racism. They left learning that Jew-hatred would be treated differently.
Somewhere I read that the real and only purpose of the UN is to have one place where all your enemies can meet. It is important that this is a place where this happens for the world. All of the rest, the humanitarian services can be done (and better) elsewhere and the bloated and corrupt bureaucracy is a manifestation and image of the rest of the state of the world.
Nothing has changed since 1975 in the UN. In fact, it even got worse:

There is a profound irony in the shifting of the left toward the total condemnation of Israel. The forces championed by that left are structurally and integrally opposed to all the principles of the enlightenment -- the core philosphy underlying all previous progressive movements, including when those movements used violence. Those earlier movements were all fighting to expand the economic and social benefits of the enlightenment to the working. masses and classes, or to free enslaved people. And yes, there was terrorism and violence in those movements, but still with the same goals. Now, however, the radical and perhaps not so radical left is championing forces which want to impose their religion on the people they rule, suppress and oppress women, outlaw and murder gay people, eliminate any semblance of democracy in their vision of a worldwide caliphate or a more localized caliphate. They are religious totalitarians who uses their power to deny their people the very things that the radicals left of the past wewre fighting for. See the regime in Iran; in Afghanistan; in Gaza. In the Sahel; parts of Syria, Pakistan, and Iraq. Now the radical left defines their causes and friends by how they stand AGAINST the Enlightenmment: all of the West, all white Europeans, and of course Israel whom they fabricate as all of thoses things: white, European, western. Imagine the radical left settling in with Hamas and Hezbollah and Iran....
