The crusade against Zionism and the desire to destroy any Jewish state is almost 100 years old at this point, but now it has reached unprecedented power throughout the West, sadly. It is now a mainstream position on the left side of the aisle.

The speech reads as if there was no knowledge, no experience, no information available about some of the main causes of this explosion of Antisemitism in Canada.

By now we all know where Carney stands. Recognizing a Palestinian state after October 7 tells us everything we need to know about his priorities.
What really struck me was the absurdity of the solution. A new council. More studies. More meetings. More bureaucracy. The council's very name doesn't even contain the words "Jews" or "antisemitism," yet we're supposed to believe this is a serious response to the worst wave of antisemitism in modern Canadian history.
And where is the accountability? Matthew Taub and TAFSIK are suing Olivia Chow and the City of Toronto. Good for them. But why aren't there legal challenges against the federal government for failing to enforce existing hate laws and protect Jewish citizens?
Most of all, he wasn't speaking to the Jews in the room. He was speaking past them. And after 27 minutes, he left without offering a meaningful solution to the people who came there hoping to hear one.
I would have booed at the end and turned my back on him. Canada is finished (because any country that becomes intolerable to its Jews is in ruin) unless these leftists are replaced by rational decent government. Stephen Harper was a great friend to Israel and a great friend to Canadien Jewry. In Australia, John Howard was a great friend to Israel. No need to even mention the name of the vile worm who is the current prime minister. Canadien Jews have allies. You have to stand up and stop tolerating this.
Never said, “Israel,” and the committee composition is tilted antisemitic. Canada is horrifying for Jews.
