The irony of these so called right-wing " Christians" proclaiming a message that would make Jesus weep. Whose " Christianity" is this? And that's the point: the two world wars consisted mostly of Christians murdering Christians, about 100MM in a bit more than 30 years. It is the resurgence of the barbarism so soon after these catastrophes which tells us how shaky Western Christian morality always was. Never strong enough to withstand the onslaught of the Beast we call Man, a still un-evolved savage whose urges spill into History at every opportunity.

Please remember that as Defeat in Idea-space, Nazism is absolutely Debunked as an Idea with the following: The White Races were decimated by Hitler and Nazism. Fully FIFTY MILLION WHITE PEOPLE were killed in Hitler’s World War Two, killing precisely the people whom Hitler and Nazism claimed to support. They were the best Whites too, and this ‘utter catastrophe’ in the words of Neo-Nazi leaders today, can never be reversed. Thus Nazism is Logically and rationally Debunked.

A very good, very thoughtful piece.

It's troubling, because an estimated 40 million people were killed by Ghengiz Khan - yet Mongolia reveres him as a national hero.

Mao is reckoned to have killed between 50 and 80 million people - yet does not receive the opprobrium of the mustached corporal.

Stalin comes in with a mere 8 - 10 million murders - and is being disinterred in Russia as a hero.

" . . . in 1940, Winston Churchill warned that upon the Battle of Britain “depends the survival of Christian civilization . . ."

And now, Churchill's statue is defaced and he is named racist.

I don't know what the lesson may really be, (I suspect it's being taught in places like Trafalgar Square these days), but I'm firmly on the side of POTUS and Bibi.

Mostly the Hitler fan club is a collection of clickbaiters to know that outrage will push their counters up. These group are opportunistic camp-followers. More seriously, the Hitler fan club rarely consists of Germans who got eviscerated by the Red Army and reaped destruction and national humiliation as a result following a charismatic drug addict. Yes, the Nazism was profoundly antisemitic but the trigger for the Wannsee conference, the final solution proclamation, the closing of bolt holes and industrialization of genocide was the Mufti plan that Hitler followed.

An excellent and important piece by Ben Koan! People in the third world have long aligned themselves with Hitler and the Nazis or felt nostalgia or admiration for Adolf Hitler and the Third Reich for many reasons. Among them are antisemitism, anti-Zionism, anti-Colonialism, anti-Imperialism, lack of historical education especially about the Holocaust, and signaling they reject the post-war Western moral order. This goes back to World War II. A fact few people know is that the Nazis had East Asian, South Asian, Middle Eastern, and African volunteers in the Wehrmacht and the Waffen-SS. The First Indian Legion or 950th (Indian) Infantry Regiment of the Wehrmacht and later, the Waffen-SS was formed in 1941 made up of Indian prisoners of war and expatriates in Europe. Indian independence leader Subhas Chandra Bose initiated the formation of the legion with Indian students studying in Germany. Its purpose was to liberate British India. They saw action guarding the Atlantic Wall and fought on the Italian Front, the Retreat from France and the Battle of Berlin.

Next, we have the Free Arabian Legion which was founded in June 1941 by General Helmuth Felmy. The legion was made up of recruits from Egypt, Iraq, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Algeria, and others, some of whom were Afro-Arabs. They served in the Tunisia Campaign and fought partisans in Greece and Yugoslavia. Chinese and Taiwanese dictator Chiang Kai-shek's adopted son Chiang Wei-kuo served in the Wehrmacht. He was sent to and studied at the Kriegsschule in Munich. After completing his training, he served in a Panzer unit during the Austrian Anschluss in 1938. That's just to name a few examples. The Nazis considered the Chinese and the Japanese to be honorary Aryans. I'm sure were all familiar with the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem Amin Al-Husseini's alliance with Hitler. There was a great deal of support for the Nazis in Latin America. Mein Kampf has been a best seller in the Middle East since the 1930s.

The fact that Adolf Hitler a monster who committed murder on an industrial level is admired, normalized and on everything from shops to brands of ice cream to t-shirts in the third world tells you all you need to know. The Holocaust is sadly, not universally condemned. In much of the world, people know little to nothing about it. It is also the case that those who lived through World War II and the Holocaust are mostly dead now. So, they are unable to hear from those who actually lived through these historical events. You will find Neo-Nazi groups in China, Japan, Indonesia, Mongolia, Taiwan, Turkey, Chile, Costa Rica, Cuba, Mexico, and Peru. Mongolian Neo-Nazi groups admire Hitler as well as Genghis Khan and the Mongol Empire and target the Chinese, Koreans, Mongol women who have sex with Chinese men, and LGBT people for violence. Brazilian Neo-Nazi gangs first came onto the scene in the 1990s. Brazilian neo-Nazi groups have been closely associated with football hooliganism. Their targets include African, South American and Asian immigrants, Jews, Muslims, Catholics, Atheists, Afro-Brazilians, internal migrants from the northern regions who tend to be brown-skinned or Afro-Brazilians, homeless people, prostitutes, drug addicts, feminists, and LGBT people.

Needless to say, even though they don't anything about Hitler, World War II or the Holocaust, many people around the third world see Hitler as a symbol of rebellion against the post-war western moral order. They've purchased Mein Kampf, but clearly never bothered to read it. What they fail to understand is they're not so much rejecting the post-war western moral order as rejecting the Western moral order altogether. They don’t realize they are rejecting liberal democracy, capitalism, pluralism, free speech, religious freedom, the rule of law, human rights, a fair and impartial justice system, racial equality, gender equality, LGBTQ+ rights, disability rights, environmentalism, and animal rights and the principles of the Ancient Greeks, the Ancient Romans, the Renaissance, the Enlightenment, the Magna Carta, our founding fathers, and the Civil Rights Movement.

Wow, that’s amazing news that I certainly didn’t know about. Such an awful thing that they don’t know the truth of history- or the fact that Hitler was the epitome of EVIL in every single way possible. And to think that the majority of people don’t know or care about what the Holocaust was ‼️😢

Remarkable post, thank you.

And let's never forget the Britische Freikorps.

As historian Bernard Lewis wrote in Semites and anti Semites , the Germans tried to persuade the dictator to change "Semite" to Jew.....but the words of this rant couldn't be altered in any way.....nor did the dictator give any great assurance to Husseini that he'd grant them full independence.....clearly the Germans began the persecution of the the Jews of North Africa , and the Italians too persecuting Jews in Libya.....and they would have been all murdered had N. African not been liberated early. So hamas should get its shyte in order when I see that rant pictured in a "bookstore" in Gaza.

"Hitler is cool?" Yes, those who destroyed the Third Reich are mostly gone so any institutional memory passes with them and I'm not surprised that the youth, I'm 73, find anything about Hitler fascinating. Considering the open virulent anti-semitism afoot in the West, particularly, the Nazis fill the bill and the horrors of the Third Reich are distant enough to not be a part of youthful memory.

Because they themselves are unaccomplished losers who want to take down the accomplished and successful. Jews are the embodiment of success and achievement against all odds. Gen Z males are basement dwelling losers who find fascism, communism and nazism appealing. They want to be taken care of by the state since they have no initiative, ambition or skills. Collectivism over rugged individualism is embraced. You heard mamdani. The only small difference between communists and nazis is that nazis believe in an exclusive race-based collectivism as opposed to the universal collectivism of communism.

............................................................................................................................................................

"So why, then, does this world-historical loser appeal to certain Gen-Zers"?

Maybe also just a sign of an anti-establishment mentality. Combined with a love of order. We are apes, some more chimp, others more bonobo.

In my 71 years I rarely hear Hitler admired for his leadership or for what he supposedly did for Germany. In the overwhelming majority of cases, when his name is praised it comes from people who admire the fact that he murdered Jews. That seems to be the real driver. I’m sure there is a small minority who talk about him in terms of nationalism or leadership, but that’s a tiny fraction of an already small group. Most of the admiration, when it appears, is rooted in antisemitism rather than any serious interest in history or politics.

"Revulsion toward Hitler is the sign of a healthy body politic."

Revulsion toward Stalin is the sign of a healthy body politic, yet his picture adorned just about every Kibbutz wall in 1948 Israel. They could have put up a picture of Churchill or Roosevelt but they didn't.

The good news is Hitler is still loathed in America (Fuentes aside), but unfortunately Lenin/Stalin/Mao/Che Guevara are not dead and buried in the US.

The better news is that in Israel the Meretz/Histadrut/Mapai/Labor Party is now dead.

Living under Stalin, Mao, Lenin, Xi Jinping, Kim Jong Un or Hitler is all the same. You have no rights and your political/ethnic/religious group could be eliminated in an instant by decree as could any individual for any reason whatsoever.

Incidentally, Hitler, the anti-Communist, was an avowed Socialist. Stalin was an International Socialist and Hitler a National Socialist, hence the NSDAP.
