This is a great interview and I commend Mr. Jones for acknowledging his empathy, examining his views, and educating himself on the truth. One comment I have is this: my daughter is in 10th grade a public high school and she has to choose between showing her true identity (a Jewish person who supports Israel) and being ostracized by a large number of her peers. They have no problem with Jews, just with Jews who support Israel. It is a devil’s bargain that she has to navigate. The rot is in the academia at earlier levels and younger grades. College campuses are just more extreme.
The thing your daughter’s friends don’t want to face is that, if they have a problem with Jews who support Israel then they do have an issue with Jews, because they’re saying only the “right” kind of Jews are okay with them. You’re totally right about this insidiousness hitting lower grades, especially with the way the conflict is being taught, but it’s important to not let these kids off the hook for tokenizing your child.
I’m not suggesting she should blow up her life to do this, but I am saying it’s a pivotal lesson you two can share as she figures out how to navigate an increasingly difficult world. What kind of person does she want to be? This is a sort of test for you both.

This is such an important story. I too have lost connection with people that I thought would see through the nonsense. Unfortunately my assumptions were wrong. The most common manifestation is silence when the subject is raised. People that are usually very verbose , funny, caring , turn into statues and look slightly away. It's like they are saying , look you are my friend and I care about you but we can't talk about that because I don't want to hear your justification, if I did hear it I wouldn't be able to see you in the same light. And of course they know there is no question that I am biased toward Israel so why are you bothering . It's very tricky, underneath this I see many good people sitting on the fence waiting for an unbiased view so they can jump back into my life . This interview will help tremendously with a whole lot of fence sitters .
I don't know if this is possible or feasible , Kiles approach would be considered a rigorous one that most people could trust and interrogate, the sources and workings that brought him to these conclusions would be incredibly valuable if condensed to a single page note. The conclusions such as there was no genocide and the other key accusations being proven wrong. Could he or someone produce such a note ?
