I’m an anti-Zionist who opposes a Jewish state but not a Jewish presence in their ancient homeland. I believe all the peaceful Jews can stay if they wish to. Nevertheless I’m ok with a 2-state solution as an imperfect solution to the problem.

And let’s get real. A 2 state solution IS a Zionist solution. A Zionist simply supports a Jewish state in Palestine.

Few things. There are 1.2 billion Muslims, not billions. Second, it’s not just Islam. The Palestinian and regional Christians hate you too. I know. I’ve talked to them. So do the Druze in Syria and the Golan. The Israeli Arab Christians are going AWOL to avoid the army.

I know this is painful for you to hear, but nobody in the region likes you save the Kurds and half of the Lebanese Maronites.

Yes Islamists hate you but do do the Syrian Alawi, and they’re as secular as it gets. 27% of Palestinians are secular, that is, not or not very religious. There are Palestinian Communists. They hate you too. Some governments like you, but their people don’t. You’ve managed to piss off everyone in the region.

So writing this off as us vs. Evil Islam isn’t going to cut it.

Palestinians were not given a state after Oslo.

If Palestinians were given a state alongside Israel, I do not believe they would use it to attack you. If I thought they would I would tell you as I am committed to the security of the Jewish masses.

What that means is I don’t want to see Arabs rampaging through Palestine massacring Jews. I oppose all deliberate killing of civilians in war of course. But there is another case.

I think the world has had enough of huge Jew massacres. Note that 10-7 doesn’t count as a huge Hew massacre. Hamas murdered 350 Israelis. That doesn’t count. I’m talking worse than that.

The last go round was the worst one ever, and I think the whole world is traumatized, not just you all. I don’t think the world has the stomach for mass Jew killing for another 100-200 years. If Arabs rampaged through Israel killing Jews I would even support sending the US military in to stop it. I just don’t have the stomach or heart to do anything less.

The Arabs are not committed to your destruction. I’ve hung out in the most virulently antisemitic part pro-Palestinian Arab places. Even there calls to kill all the Jews of Israel are rare. When they occur they get shot down. Even Iran I’d not calling for this. They’ve said as much.

What you do hear endlessly is that you all have to leave. Iran says if you can trace your ancestry back to pre-1948, you can stay and vote on whether the rest have to leave. The original PLO Charter said if you can trace your ancestry back to before 1917, you can stay. They’ve since dropped that.

The idea of packing Jews into planes and boats to leave Israel is disgusting and it’s not going to happen. These population transfers never work anyway.

Even Hamas does not want to kill you all. I’ve seen their post-conquest plans. They would kill a lot of people but most would be spared. They would kill everyone in the army. That’s 400,000. That’s bad but it’s not 7 million. I would point out that Iran opposes these killings.

All the rest get to stay though there’s some question that some may be asked to leave. In fact, they will force a lot of you to stay if you have special talents. So not only will they not kill you all, they will FORBID a lot of you from even leaving!

What this means is that at their worst, the Palestinians are not exterminationist antisemites. Mass murdering antisemites, sure. 10-7 shows us this. Further their beef is with the Jews in Palestine, not the Diaspora so it’s uncertain if they’re even antisemites since their beef is only with a portion of Jews.

Who are exterminationist antisemites? Nazis! I’ve been or forums full of those too, and they’re definitely bad for the Jews. Maybe Al Qaeda and ISIS too.

Thought provoking, thank you.

Liked the distinction drawn between Latin “Pax” and Hebrew “Shalom”.

“Peace is a condition; a state of mind. One cannot fight for peace because it is not attainable by any victory. It must be pursued also by reasoned argument that illuminates and eliminates the ideological causes of war.”

Right on.

Some of the poetry in my book “Iron Dome Poems, Israel’s War for Peace”

argues that unlike Iran (Hamas), Israel is ultimately fighting for peace, and that premature ceasefire is Neville Chamberlain like - as unrelated to Shalom as would be calling Israel’s destruction “peace”.
