Thank you, Bob, that's an extremely good article.

I always feel inherently suspicious when I read something with which I agree; I wonder whether I am succumbing to an internal, personal bias preference.

So I have to read it again, and again.

I've done that, I still agree with your conclusions 100%.

The killer point is the recognition of the utter failure of 'soft' power, of diplomacy, of 'international law', of 'multilateralism'.

It's clearly impossible to negotiate with an entity that is on the record as wishing to eradicate you from the face of the earth. Whether or not to trust such an entity is an unnecessary question.

"All power comes out of the barrel of a gun"

Just because it was Mao who coined the phrase does not invalidate the reality, and decades of 'negotiation' with the Palestinian terrorists (by whatever name or acronym) have only exacerbated the situation.

So - I am a Trump supporter, but one has to watch what he does, not just what he says - the issue of disarming Hamas is the forthcoming nexus.

And I'm a supporter of Bibi, warts and all - he is doing more for me, as an Englishman, to protect me and mine against the curse of militant Islam than any UK Prime Minister since 1990.

Toda rabah rabah - Am Yisrael Chai

From your pen to God's eyes. Unfortunately, there are too many counter-examples to your thesis which leaves me wondering how steady and enduring the shift you describe will proceed. Israel does not seem ready to do what you say will happen. Trump's pronouncements are strange on these matters, to say the least. Somalis scamming Minnesota and the Federal government to finance Al-Shahab. Trump supports Qatar while Qatar funds American universities so professors can brainwash the educators of the next generation. Trump says out loud Israel should not declare sovereignty over Judea and Samaria and touts a "peace Plan" for Gaza that rewards Muslim terrorists while Israel hems and haws about a day after. I would willingly drink your cool-aid if I knew the Jews were resolute, but I do not see a self-defence army arising in the US,, Canada or anywhere else.

This is a unique time in history where a partnership for freedom between Israel and the USA can pay large dividends. We must do everything possible to support this which means that the Jew hating Left will do everything it can to stop this wonderful; partnership.

We must be prepared to defend ourselves, it can be as simple as self awareness of your surroundings to as much as joining a militia that supports Jewish and Christian values.

Bob, thanks for saying this loud and clear. Yes, the liberal order has been subverted and we're back in the good old days of the Wild West. The role of the EU and the UN and the other supranational organizations in maintaining peace and justice around the world has been shown to be useless—or worse than useless. Our best hope is to support national governments that share our values, and to strengthen them against their and our enemies.

Someday, after the Islamists, the Communists and the WEF have been reduced to rubble, we may be able to give a "rules-based international order" another chance to prove its worth. At this moment, preemptive engagement of all the totalitarian players who dream of destroying Western civilization is reasonable and just. Let all the robed judges at all the captured human rights organizations rise up on their hind legs and squeal. The farce has come to an end, and the grown-ups have realized that they need to take charge.

Israel from day one- (because it sits in the middle of the hornets nest) has realized that in the Middle East power/ strength is the ONLY currency that is understood and respected. Nothing else matters. This is something the West still has not grasped in its pitiable feverish state of gibberish chanting and teatowels.. Israel has made its BIG mistakes in the past, in the name of supposed hoped for peace. But that time is OVER. Rest of the world’s opinion be damned. Israel will no longer fight with its hands tied. And its dependence on the world’s acceptance of its strategies must end.

Clearly, Goldberg has never heard of Nick Fuentes, Tucker Carlson, or J.D. Vance. Why anyone on this stage would praise America's most failed president for that is beyond me. Fuentes and Carlson speak for themselves, and if they don't, Ben Shapiro has something to say about it. J.D. Vance then refers to a "big tent": apparently, anti-Semitism is par for the course in today's Republican Party. Vance is perfectly fine with it all; he even encourages Europeans to embrace the German neo-Nazis of the AfD as "saviors of the continent." Yeah, yeah, we've heard that before. And that wimpy Trump lets it all slide, busy as he is with dismantling the world order that has ensured peace for 80 years. The power politics he wants to reintroduce has brought us two world wars. Good job, laddie.

Why elevate fuentes and carlson? They are Jew hating morons. Calling Trump a failed president borders on the insane, blind to all Trump has done to support Israel and bring sense to America's previously porous border problems. Trump is susceptible to flattery, owns an odd and dissonant combination of confidence believing he is always right, and insecurity manifesting itself as often punching down and responding to flattery. Netanyahu understands this well. Trump doesn't speak harshly towards those who speak positively about him, even if he disagrees with them on other matters, he won't disagree if they compliment him in some way, or show great deference and respect as did Qatar and Saudi Arabia when they feted him like royalty. His inclinations towards Israel are sincere, manifesting most strongly during his first presidency, but also when he followed his inclinations and supported Israel in their military strikes against Iran to degrade its nuclear weapon facilities. If anything, his support of Israel make the antisemites and anti-Zionists in his orbit appear the fool. By his actions towards Israel he spits in their face, he need say nothing.

If you think it's in Israel's best interest for Mr. Trump to transform a rule-of-law state into a country where arbitrariness prevails, then you are very much mistaken. Quite naive, actually. Currently, he seems to be acting in Israel's interest, but with someone of his personality, that can change from one day to the next. And Jews in the US certainly shouldn't count on his intended successor, Vance. Since the American constitution is being skillfully disregarded by his advisors from the Heritage Foundation, there will be no more checks and balances in a while. Counterbalance from the Supreme Court or Congress? Forget about it.

The World order has not preserved peace, it financed worldwide warfare for 80 years including four genocidal attacks on Israel! Keep hiding in your closet, your Left will find you for your Box Car!

I had the same thought about Carlson, Fuentes, et Al. It would be nice if Trump would denounce their Holocaust revisionism and antisemitic babbling, but don’t hold your breath. Why does he not do this? Because 20% of the MAGA movement endorse this garbage.

The bottom line is the only way to peace is to be so violent and terrifying that the Evil Cult of Islam (ECI) is terrified of continuing.

I have a young Jewish woman that I am training in unarmed combat; mother to a three year old. When I spar with her she is fierce, the grimace on her face says it all; she is learning to protect her family! It is positively beautiful!

The "rules-based international order" has always been a euphemism for money-laundering, corruption, laziness, and most of the seven deadly sins. Lots of powerful folks are riding this gravy train and will fight back to keep their influence and their bank accounts full. The window of opportunity is narrow and the time for the fight is now. Let's have at it.

I think there is a unique opportunity for success for Jews and Christians Worldwide!

The time to fight back against antisemites and the Evil Cult of Islam is NOW!

Although I think a lot of politicians on the Left or members of the Evil Cult of Islam (ECI) who are stuck in the middle ages, look down on the civilized West believe that we are weak. They think that civilization makes us weaker... they are wrong!

Get outside the Insanity of the Wokey University system paid for by Qatar and China and you will find many Americans still believe in the American Dream and hold faith in the CLEAR success of Zionism and Israel.

It simply takes a minute to see all the accomplishments of Western Civilization and the rebound of God's people in Israel and worldwide for us to recover our faith and strength born by the Laws of God!

For the Jewish people how can you not be proud of what Israel has accomplished; they did it without the vast mineral or Oil resources. They did it with faith, strength and God's guidance. We in the West, we have freedom of religion but that only applies to religions! Islam is the enemy of every other religion and poison to freedom. They must and will be stopped!

As a Christian Man who loves America and the myriad of citizens within, I am proud of our accomplishments. Our freedom of religion will be defended with our lives. I served 26 years in the US Army and six years in contract DOD positions. I took an oath and it did not expire when I retired; I will defend the Jewish citizens of my country with my life!

In my heart directly behind that oath is my faith and belief in Israel and the Holy Land. I also will fight for these things as they are the anchors our religions rest on...

The USA is the shining light of the Western World!

Israel is the shining light of the Middle East!

This We'll Defend!

God Bless America and Israel!

I'm baffled by your conflation of the European support of Ukraine with the middle eastern issue. Russia under Putin obviously wants to rebuild as much of the USSR as possible and Putin is a sub human killer who will slaughter any number of people to achieve his aims. His willingness to pour his own people into this insane war provides ample evidence of this. Trump who I note the correspondent below supports is an obvious poodle to Putin who has no respect for anyone who is not rich and no respect for the future as he scraps any protections for the natural world and is defunding alternative energy programmes wherever he can. The man is a menace to whole world and an enemy of the West. There is a new world order arising and it is being led by China, the biggest polluter currently but also the biggest investor in renewables. Why? Because they're damn clever these chinese and Trump is not. He is a good con man though but he's so crude that his success so far has been dependent on a slight majority of the voting public who should really not have access to sharp objects let alone assault rifles.

Good post and a good comment. I’ve learned that you cannot mind read President Trump - you see only executed moves and you don’t know the end move. Our (US) ‘26 elections are critical for Republicans to retain control of Congress. MAGA is being weakened by the Left and Right using the traditional scapegoat, Jew hatred.

Part of Trump's skill lies in his ability to keep his enemies guessing. Trump bobs left and right and up and down and then makes his move. The American economy is roaring and the woke lunacy is behind us. We've gone from 23 genders back to only 2. The Somalis in Minnesota have been caught with their hands in the till, the border is closed, Israel is our ally once again, and the Admiral is no longer a fat guy in a skirt. Trump deserves respect and admiration from of all those who love Israel and the United States.

IT's difficult to read Trump's reasoning because he hasn't a clue what he's doing and swerves about like a rudderless ship. He's made the USA look like a lunatic asylum but those who voted him in are to blame. He said he would give huge tax breaks to the richest and scrap health care for millions of poor people and that is what he's done. Americans voting for this was arguably even crazier than 52% of the British voters chosing BREXT. Poland's income per capita is due to overtake the UKs by 2030 . I remember going to Warsaw 30 years ago and I felt that I'd stepped back in time. EU membership has helped Poland hugely while the UK slumps into a nasty morass of finger pointing that is so much like Germany in the 30s when the Jews were the scapegoats. History repeats itself but you'd think people would would wait until no more holocaust survivors were around before welcoming back the fascists. Does humanity ever learn? I am suspicious of anyone who befriends Trump and though I love Israel where I've been many times on merchant ships for oranges and by motorcycle overland for the pleasure of being there, I don't find Netenyahu an attractive leader. I think Hamas are the scum of the earth and make no excuses for their behaviour but I can't help fearing that Israel is scoring own goals with its current polocies in the West Bank and Gaza. I do appreciate that it's hard to see how you can reason with people who are constitutionally committed to killing you and this needs to be flagged up more often. In the UK I have nevr seen a debate between Hamas sympathisers defending their holocaust policy against Jewish/Israeli advocates. Why not?
