The Jewish state has turned the unbelievable debacle of October 7th into an impending victory in what will eventually become known as the First Israeli-Iranian War.
I really don't see how anything Israel does can make its enemies more ruthless. Lebanon attacked Israel for a full year without provocation; Israel provokes by existing. Bravo to the IDF for taking out one of the heads of the hydra.
Love this news and info. First I’ve heard. Lifts my heart while preparing for shabbos…sunset is brilliant over here, thinking Israeli military and intel is the best on earth—singing Fiddler on the Roof mushy stuff…oooh yeah…Am Yisrael Chai. Love to y’all.
I know there is so much controversy and dislike of Bibi by a large part of the Israeli electorate. There is also no doubt that after the war, there will be an intense investigation of Oct 7th which could fnd Bibi very much responsible.
Having said that, He has been nothing short of brilliant and fearless when it comes to his handling of the war and in dealing with the pressures of the outside world and especially the pressure from the US administration. That takes courage , strength of conviction and incredible leadership. I, for one, am so happy and grateful that this man is at the helm. Whatever your political view, you have to give credit where credit is due and Bibi is due tremendous credit. It frightens me to imagine where we would be if a weaker man or woman were leading Israel.
Thankfully it wasn't Yair Lapid, who caved in to American pressure while Prime Minister and ceded valuable oil and gas fields to Lebanon in exchange for ... nothing.
It had seemed to me since long ago that Bibi had been doing quite amazing work for decades to try to communicate with perceived enemies and rogues. Successfully. Incrementally. I gasp observing our local Rabbi dealing with our disparate minyan mob not to mention the larger dispersed community. Bibi IS a leader. As were each of Israel's Prime Ministers. Each one a drastically different saga and style. Bibi has the potential, the possibility of actually heeding and manifesting the sage advice of Rabbi M.M. Schneerson. If he does so to a large degree he would be the first. Schneerson 'relied' firmly on our Elders advice and that within Torah, Tanach and Talmud etc. 'We' each and all have some very BIG and profound large or small Lessons opportunistically staring us in the face. Most Jewish people insist on turn 'awry' as Shakespeare warns via Hamlet's most famous speech ending with "turn awry and lose the name of action".
Ironic that you bring up the Torah ..... My biggest criticism of Bibi is that he forged a coalition with the extreme Right religious groups and that he caved on the Conscription of the Haredim. It disgusts me that they dont want to partake in military service. 60,000 able bodies people who get government payouts. Shameful and totally for political purposes.
You are basically correct or have reasons for what you state as well as what you feel. It does seem that there are definite steps in place for Haredim and others to adjust and to create the ways to fully participate. Just to play devil's advocate, not to argue though you are welcome to argue with yourself as you wish, but to simply present an idea ... that just as Haredim and others need to create immediate practical steps to resolve the abyss that you articulated, as an IMAGE... it seems to me that there needs to be Torah integrated into the basic education of each and every Israeli (Jewish or other, as well as every type of Jewish under the Sun). That is an IDEA, an IMAGE. A reflection on what I really think in that The State of Israel like a huge percentage of Jewish individuals (and organizations) globally (including The State of Israel) 'threw the baby out with the bathwater'. The baby being Torah in its definitive and in its broadest sense.
Amen. I truly believe Bibi is fulfilling his destiny. God speed Mr. Prime Minister and may you live long to see the fruits of your labor. We are doing our best to bring your American ally to power.
Both aircraft include a significant amount of Israeli systems, 35% by value in the F-16I, and could have been much higher had the US given permission for Israel's Elta AESA radar to be installed in a US aircraft.
This is definiltely a feel good moment. But Israel must not loose focus on the real problem-Iran. And the strong possibility that a new US President by Feb. 1 next year will pull in the reigns on Israel. So what ever happens next has to happen before the next US President gets his or her balance.
Thank God Israel has a PM with a backbone who ignored the Biden/Harris regime's calls for a ceasefire from the beginning of the war. Perhaps a less resolute PM would have caved and instead of Israel now being in the position of reversing the October 7 intelligence debacle into a spectacular victory, it would be faced still surrounded by a strengthened hamas and hezbollah and a considerably weakened and endangered Israel.
I hope you are correct in your conclusion. President Biden says we had nothing to do with it. I hope this appeases Iran's terror masters. A Harris/Walz/ Sanders administration will be even more hostile to Israel than just denying complicity. I guess Ireland, Slovenia and Spain will be in state mourning along with Iran. But cheers in Syria. What a world we live in. Syrian people cheering for Israel taking out the little nazi of the past 30 years.
Live your ending!!! The only negotiating that can ever be fruitful is when you shake the enemy to the core and they plead for it to end on our terms!!!!
And Israel has done all this in the face of open and strong American opposition.
Possible new essay coming next week: In the Middle East, whatever the U.S. says, do the opposite.
Thank you for a timely and thorough update. I appreciate your efforts on behalf of Israel.

Seeding insecurity among the proxies augments their risk for miscues.
Excellent analysis Joshua.
Great article, thanks!
Supplements the article in Israel Defense that analyzed the amazing IDF response even before the strike on Nasrallah.

Is it possible they warned him to leave the building but he didn't have his pager ...

Continued Thank You Joshua and Future of Jewish. X I
It seems the strike was carried out by Squadron 69 and its F-15I aircraft (Ra'am) not F-16I aircraft.

Despite the refusal of the United States to back you. You have delivered a master stroke! Continue on this path!

Excellent article! Iran is learning that it’s clients who act against Israel will swim the fish

Viva Israel! God bless Israel! Don't mess with the lion of David! Should have learned long ago from Goliath!
