"Israel can no longer presume Western solidarity in wartime." Israel can no longer even assume a non-muslim or muslim oriented West. Demographics/birth rate assure an eventual "Eurabia" in Western Europe. Unchecked muslim moves to capture US political power assure this in US, albeit perhaps a bit further out (?). Already took NYC. Not a coincidence. Given anti-Israel orientation of US Universities a hostile US seems a matter of when not if.

Rick Miller's avatar

Agreed… from both the left and the right. JD is already pandering to Tucker and Fuentes.

Robin Alexander's avatar

So scary. What kind of US are we leaving our children? In regard to NYC, my silver lining is: Mamdani will destroy the city, we swoop in and buy Manhattan real estate, eventually we're worth millions. Hey what happened to Staten Island wanting to secede?

Author writes: "In parallel, Rafael and Raytheon opened a joint facility in Arkansas, producing Tamir missiles for both Israel and the U.S. — a canny move that intertwines industrial interests and blunts the edge of potential political estrangement." What makes author so sure missiles produced in USA would be allowed to be shipped/flown out under a hostile US administration? Even it there are contractual obligations to prevent this, you really think a hostile US administration would let that stop them? Always an excuse, technicality, 'for the sake of peace'/'to prevent genocide/appearance of supporting Israel" blablabla.

Barry Lederman, “normie”'s avatar

Agree. The reverse would be smarter; make advantageous for Raytheon and other military manufacturers build centers in Israel as the tech giants have been doing.

Always a better idea to be self-sufficient. The Western European nations are fickle and are falling apart under waves of Muslim migration. I predict one day that countries like Spain and the Netherlands will be begging Israel for military help. The only European nations that Israel should help are Serbia, Poland, the Czech Republic, and Hungary.

Dana Ramos's avatar

Yes they will be begging Israel for help, probably sooner than expected.

Joel G.'s avatar

Israel quietly and coldly will just turn its back on them.

Eva's avatar

They should do.

That would be justice.

But we already know that Israel doesn’t do that, unfortunately.

Dana Ramos's avatar

That’s right. They are still treating hateful Gazans in their hospitals.

Eva's avatar

I’ve never understood that.

It makes zero sense to keep your enemies alive.

Rick Miller's avatar

We’ve seen it already in Spain & France who went all BDS because of Gaza. However, they “made exceptions” when it came to Israeli technology for Airbus. Which Israel refused to cooperate. What’s good for the goose…

Joel G.'s avatar

Spain has a communist Prime Minister, and France hasn’t had a decent president since the start of the fifth republic with the possible exceptions of Mitterand and Sarkozy.

Poland at least is stuffed with Jew-haters. I believe Hungary is much the same.

I see no reason for Israel to help them.

Dana Ramos's avatar

Pretty much every country is stuffed with Jew haters.

Eva's avatar

That’s very true. I personally wouldn’t help them.

I’d tell them to go to hell with the terrorist scum they love so much.

John Galt III's avatar

"I see no reason for Israel to help them."

Israel is smart enough to figure out alliances, both temporary and permanent. It will work with those countries who want to work with it whether that is Azerbaijan, Hungary or Argentina.

Joel G.'s avatar

The Polish governments and Hungarian governments are actually pro Israel. Viktor Orban of Hungary is proudly pro Israel.

Good article. Update needed for all the ongoing projects with India. Hindu majority surrounded by Islam and China, a reliable partner, and the top recipient of Israeli arms.

I've been calling for exactly this for 35 years.....it's about eff'n time!!

So be it. A hard lesson to learn but your defense industry will be the best in the world. Already is. 🙏🫂💪🇮🇱💙🌹✨

Israel must get as independent as possible as quickly as possible. God knows who will become President in America in three years from now. At the rate things are going in the USA, I would not be surprised if a completely anti-Israel Jew hater took office.

Dan's avatar

We already see this strand of Antisemitism in The USA by the Far Right commentator Tucker Carlson. He travels in Europe and The Middle East now, spouting hatred of Israel and The Jewish People.

Promethea Pythaitha's avatar

F*cker Carlson, the most sniveling cowardly openly Qatari-bribed excuse for a reporter I've seen in my lifetime. How he has any credibility left among us Americans is shocking.

The world turned on us once again, brazenly, openly, satanically, in-humankind is saturated, riddled to its gills with JEW hatred, that G-D knows as do all who have lived through this era open disgrace -

there is but one lesson to learn.

It is State-organised too, here in Europe. The solution for us Jews is absolute Self-defence. I long since stopped asking why us, because the Nazis also killed 44 million others including the murder of 27 million Russian souls killed for the same Nazi ideology. The Nazis were perverted scum. Dark side Nazi Elements of The State actively promote antisemitism today to stay in power. So Get to the safety of Israel.

Also, Israeli Rifles and machine guns, with full complements of bullets and Ammunition. Plus, Israel’s famous Uzi too, with magazine rounds: complete self production for all of the above. Am Israel Chai.

Developing robust domestic military production capabilities is crucial for national security.

This self-sufficiency ensures a reliable supply of essential defense materials. It mitigates risks associated with foreign dependency and geopolitical instability.

Investing in advanced manufacturing and research fosters innovation and technological superiority. Ultimately, strengthening indigenous production fortifies a nation's ability to safeguard its interests and people.

Barry Lederman, “normie”'s avatar

Since money is critical for the self sufficiency, Israel has to also stop being dependent on US financial arrangements. It seems most of it is designated for US arms purchases but the US voters view it as “gifts” contributing to the Jew hatred by the new left and the new right; and don’t forget the Islamic influence.

Barry Lederman, “normie”'s avatar

The Diaspora must help by buying more Israeli Bonds designated to build security independence.

With a defense budget of €46 billion, Israel is therefore better equipped to build a credible deterrent than the EU, with a military budget of €380 billion. This demonstrates once again that fighting for self-preservation is the best motivation for overcoming political divisions. Another source of military innovation, incidentally, is Ukraine. As for Europe, that's where it's happening. It would be good, where dependence on the increasingly arbitrary US threatens both sides, to consider greater cooperation. Europe is also pursuing a policy of risk-sharing.

Richard Luthmann's avatar

Trump proved something simple but powerful: when Israel is under fire, America stands shoulder to shoulder. No hemming, no “daylight,” no moral lectures mid-battle. That clarity restores deterrence. By contrast, the Obama-Biden years showed how globalist politics can dilute alliances—conditional aid, public pressure campaigns, and bureaucratic second-guessing that signal hesitation to enemies. Strategic friendship requires more than rhetoric; it demands reliability. And yes, modern warfare isn’t just rockets and armor—it’s narrative warfare. Disinformation networks, lawfare campaigns, and diplomatic sabotage shape battlefields before a shot is fired. Neutralizing hostile propaganda ecosystems is part of national defense. Steel wins wars; clarity and loyalty prevent them.

Robin Alexander's avatar

Good! Now, aside from being far less dependent Israel should: 1) stop trying to fight nice wars; 2) immediately destroy the enemy's ability to communicate. I don't know how you do this or how difficult it may be, but seems to me the should be a priority. "The humanitarian toll in Gaza, which Hamas’ propaganda amplified and distorted, became a cudgel in foreign capitals"

There’s no reason for an unarmed populace especially after what happened to the kibbutzim on October 7th!

John Galt III's avatar

There isn't but Israel still has a strong Left Wing and they block every attempt for it's Jews to be armed - stuck on stupid just like the Democrats in the US.

One day, Israel should produce her own planes too. She got very very close once with the Lavi. It was every pilot's dream. It would have made Israel a lot more strategically autonomous. And the US administration would not have it. While Israel struggled with a budget crisis, we quietly told her the parts would be held up indefinitely in red tape. Eventually we helped strangle the project. It was a crime and a loss for Israel and the world. For us in America too because one day we'll find ourselves face to face with the consequences of our capitulations to jihad and of sabotaging our only truly reliable ally. (See Lavi by David Golan). My hope would be that Israel one day design and build her own planes, quietly, not informing jealous "friends" who rather keep veto power over Israel's military decisions, untill long after the planes are a fact. Let's face it, they will be better than anything anyone anywhere else ever built, and Israel will never again have to ask permission to defend herself.
