So well informed, interesting and useful. Josh, you must become a rabbi and we, your readers, will quickly join your congregation. Thank you always for your insights and for your encouragement! 🙏🏻⭐🙏🏻⭐🙏🏻⭐
Your explanation is pure and truth! I say Israel has a God given right and responsibility to take back what God gave the “Children of Israel” thousands of years ago through His Devine Land Grant! And to rid Israel of the still alive Philistines to this very day! My prayers for today’s ISRAELI WARRIORS IS THAT GOD WILL GIVE THEM HIS WISDOM, VISION, STRENGTH AND DISCERNMENT TO SEE!
Everyone, especially Jews crying about how bad Israel is in this war (that Israel did not seek,) should read this and pass it along to those who don't subscribe to the Future of Jewish. Try to get those who just don't understand the mind-set and motivations of Israel's Arab neighbors. Neighbors who could gain so much from coexistence with Israel. Israel's doubters have to realize that they cannot think about those Palestinians who want us dead through our own cultural vales. Thank you, again, Josh!
Amen!!! May God give Israel’s leaders within every realm wisdom, courage, and unity in resolve to finish this necessary work of war.
May He turn the hearts of the people to seek Him, and commit their lives wholly to Him, according to His Word, and not be of two minds, or trust in the fragile reeds of man, or any other idol of supposed power and wisdom. In so doing, may He unite His imperfect people to support, strengthen, and follow their imperfect leaders, praying that His Spirit will guide and work through their imperfections, to protect them from their own folly, and bring about His perfect will.
May He continue to restrain and expose those within Israel and the Diaspora whose actions are self-serving, or who, knowingly or unknowingly, further the schemes of Israel’s many enemies - and bring their scheming to naught.
May He give her warriors great courage, strength, wisdom, skill, and protection against the schemes of their enemies, turning their evil back upon themselves.
And may He move upon the hearts and minds of those people who seek to know and honor Him throughout the world, giving them eyes to see, and ears to hear, what is of Him versus Satan and his minions, that they might heed and obey His voice of warning and instruction.
These things I pray, in the name of Yeshua HaMashiach; Jesus, the Jewish Messiah, who died for the sins of all human beings, across all ages, and whom I love, serve, and seek to honor.
“Ashkelon will see it and fear; Gaza will writhe in agony and Ekron, too, for her hope will wither. Gaza shall lose its king and Ashkelon will be deserted.” Zechariah 9:5
Jewish maxims are fine until they run into current realities. Conquering Gaza City makes no sense. The Jews can’t rule it and trying to get Arabs unaffiliated with Hamas to do so is a pipe dream. The residents should be told they have 24 hours to get out and then Israel should flatten it. Where will the residents go? Wherever they can. And stop feeding enemies. It only prolongs the war and wins no points. And the 20 living hostages can’t continue to be the tail wagging the dog. Harsh? Not in the long run.
you are absolutely right. the solution is a population transfer. Move the arabs to Algeria, Iraq and Libya where there is vast oil wealth to support the arabs and vast empty land for them to settle on. Don't defund the police. Defund the UN.
I agree with everything but conquering Gaza City. It must happen and be emptied of all Arabs. The world be damned. They are not the friends of the Jews.
The issue of saving the hostages v. destroying Hamas has plagued us since October 7. Ending the war may bring some (it will never be all) home, but capitulation has always ended with eventually more hostages and more hostages and more. So I say to the families of the hostages, you're suffering is unimaginable, and I grieve and cry with you, but in order to end the fighting today and bring your loved one home, first choose the children of the next generation that will eventually take their place.
"How Israel acts in Gaza City, even under immense provocation, will shape how Jews are perceived worldwide."
Alas, we already know how the world perceives us regardless of what we do.
"The mitzvah of pidyon shvuyim — redeeming captives — is among the highest in our tradition, yet there have been moments in our story, from pogroms to modern battlefields, when unbearable choices had to be made. From Masada to Entebbe, our people have chosen survival over sentiment — not from cruelty, but from the clear-eyed conviction that without survival, there is no future to redeem."
The dilemma of the hostages has been addressed in Torah when Abraham argued with God over how many good people it would take to save Sodom from destruction. As well it appears in philosophical studies of Ethics as the runaway trolley dilemma. Basically both cases come down to this: how many innocent people is it acceptable to sacrifice to save evil people. Conversely, how many evil people is it acceptable to kill to save good people.
The issue can best be illustrated by the following parable:
A doctor tells his patient that tests reveal he has a fast growing mass in his body.
He informs the patient that there are three treatment options, each one of which will destroy healthy surrounding tissue and none of which guarantee a cure.
The first is radiation. Not only are the side effects debilitating but may also cause further growths.
The second is chemo. The treatments last over months, Patients feel sick like a dog and may suffer compromised immune systems.
The third is surgery. There will be a recovery time but not lingering ill effects on the body.
The patient asks "And if I do nothing?" The doctor replies, "It is a fast growing mass. If you do nothing you will be dead within a few years.
While you decide, avoid youtube videos. They will try to make you feel guilty by telling you your suffering is your own fault, or they will try. to sell you pills and potions they would never take themselves but which will more likely hasten your death. The choice is yours."
Moral clarity, both ancient and new -- Thank you for giving us the sources that support Israel's intent. The problem, though, is the antisemitic propaganda campaign being carried out jointly by Islamists and the those so twisted in their thinking (by the Post Modernist relativist version of social justice -- if one can even really call it that) that they can no longer discern good from evil. "Remember Amalek" is, among other things, the obligation never to let that ability slide. There are few utterly evil people, but there are some, and they tend to be manipulative. There are evil organizations among the good ones. And there are evil acts labelled as good and right -- which it is too easy to talk people into supporting. Being primed by Post Modern ideas about ethics (that they have no universal application, being only as critical as folk customs) has contributed to the loss of the ability to recognize Amalek. Hence we have thousands of otherwise kind and reasonable people supporting Hamas, and accepting and spreading demonizing lies about Israel, in the name of all that they sincerely believe is good and just. Amalek is winning that war, it seems, and I wonder if Israelis fully understand how popular it is to justify the dismantling of Israel as a Jewish State. Thousands of people actually believe this: that the Jews as settler-colonialists "conquered" the Palestinians and has been heartlessly oppressing them ever since 1948, when Israel selfishly kicked Palestinians out of in order to steal their land.

Yes, Joshua is always brilliant in his analysis. He helps us to understand the situation and calms us down from our worries. ❤️🇮🇱🇺🇸

Brilliantly researched and articulately stated. Thank you!
This is the moment to secure Israel’s future and peace for the Israeli people. Public opinion be damned.

Rabbi Yochanan Ben Zakkai certainly had this wisdom from Torah: B’Midbar 20:19
Thank you for sharing this clarification. Much appreciate this
Especially the vast evidence of truth in the Scriptures
Wonderful!! Thank you.
The wisdom of the Torah is awe inspiring.
Great advice. Get after it already and press it to a successful conclusion.

The essential spectrum for understanding toward action. So well presented!!!
Note: Jews need to be more Jewish.
Well done!!
