The issue, for many fully committed Zionists like Stephens (and myself), is not that there are a small number of Jews who are committing what you correctly acknowledge as terrorism. The issue is the government that, from every appearance, slow-walks investigations and prosecutions of the perpetrators— the same government that can quickly (and quite appropriately) apprehend Palestinian terrorists in the same area.
The terrorists don’t represent the state; the government does.
Imagine if Mamdani’s New York City police department gave every appearance of similarly slow-walking the terrorists who attack Jews on the streets of the city. We would, rightly, demand equal justice.

This may sound simplistic, but the one thought it brings to mind is what Zionism aspired to, amongst other goals: the normalisation of the Jewish People. Now, "normal" is worth parsing . But the short of it is a people in their land, normal, like all other peoples.

Shame that none of them can adhere to international law, as the ICJ interpreted and reminded them of in 2024, and state clearly that ALL settlements in the West Bank are illegal and should immediately be disbanded. Not only that but recompense must be paid to any and all Palestinians in the region who suffered as a result of Israeli settlements.
Maybe when Israelis start pushing for that en masse we might take them more seriously about being opposed to settler violence there.
