This piece was delicious. If I wasn’t so old I’d consider it myself.

People make Aliyah here in their 80's and even 90's. Some alone, some have family. It's n ever too late if you are mobile with an open mind.

You’re never too old for Aliyah. I made Aliyah last March at age 82. Wondered why I didn’t do it sooner but was waiting for retirement which I only did last January. So… if you want to make Aliyah, don’t worry about age. Just do it. You will be glad you did.

Me, too but at 75 it's too big of a move.

I think your journey has changed your life in beautiful ways.

I’m a South African Catholic with a Jewish great grandad on Mum’s side.

I love that you have such peace in your faith.

I have many Jewish friends who have family there.

They all say exactly what you do.

Kindest regards and mazeltov on your bravery to make such a huge move.

I think your writing career is off to a great start. Enjoyed it immensely, - especially since I made Aliyah 2 years ago, from America N.E. and have never looked back- ( except in despair at the stupidity and ignorance that exists). But I digress...I think a book is in your future.

Enjoy, and you have more than a few of us thinking of life in Israel.

yep. I'm one thinking of it a lot. Just need to convince my adult children, or at least the child who has the precious grandchild. I can't leave them all, so I need to convince them. At the rate things are going, that decision to move to Israel might become necessary for us all.

You go girl! With others on this thread, I do think you have it in you to make it as a writer. I too enjoyed your essay, a lot. The raw honesty of your writing just cut through the mud. Mazel Tov on making Aliyah. Wishing you the best of everything with the pregnancy and your new life.

I'm smiling from ear to ear...Your description of the new life in Israel painted pictures in my imagination. My deepest heart desire would be to live there too but to be honest I wasnt quite able to build on it until reading about your experience! Thank you so much for sharing!!!....A new beginning, a baby...and Shalom...You are truly blessed!

Thank you for sharing your great Aliyah experience. I have been in Israel since September 29, having left the UK for an extended visit to Israel with Bingly, my dog.

We are having a great time in Israel, ‘just being’ and lucky enough to be staying in Tel Aviv, across the road from the beach.

I am still in the thinking phase of making Aliyah.
