I think we needed to read a piece like this Josh. Well, I've altered my prayer asking G-d to either bring the Moshiach now or beam us up to Star Trek-like ships bound for a friendly, class M planet; leaving the goyim behind to blow up Planet Earth all on their own. I am now praying for some first-class seats for the non-Jewish friends you mentioned in the article. <g>

Amid all the substack nonsense spawned by idiots like Katz, while I’ve not yet been recommended to a “Nazi” site, I did get pointed in this direction. Enjoyed this piece.

Impressed by Mr. Karp (never heard of him, or Palantir). One might wish to avoid being overtly “offensive” (based on whatever metric one might use), but it’s pointless to try to avoid “offending people”....cuz these days you never know when someone might “take offense”....and that is entirely a problem with the listener rather than with the speaker.

Please don't take my comment as a desire to undermine positive. It was just a question based on my observations. Perhaps social media may not be a good representation. Yet, my fear is that social media is definitely impacting especially younger generation. It seems to me that digesting complicated and nuanced information is sacrificed for simple, few lines of "history."

I am keeping this in my “Israel” mailbox, and appreciate your being, among your many important roles, the light in dark times, Joshua.

It was therapeutic to read such a positive article on how many people back Israel. There are millions in the United States who will always back Israel and democracy. Israel needs to do what must be done not just for its survival but for the west’s survival also.

I’m quoting Sally Fields second Oscar acceptance speech here. “They like me. They really like me.”

It is nice to read a positive spin. And yes, there are still people whose moral campus is intact and some of them are even speaking out. My question, however, how many of them and how much is done? How many people are actively speaking out against the atrocities and misrepresentations that are taking up much of space and place? Social media seems to be inundated with quite opposite sentiments. And many city councils keep putting on their agenda proposals that are far from showing their support and understanding. Am I missing the point?

There is definitely far more hate than love. One statistician found a 36-to-1 ratio of “pro-Palestinian” to “pro-Israel” content on TikTok, for example.
