Bravo! I wish you and other Jewish writers (all the pro-Israel ones, that is) much mazel! It's my hope, in fact, that the Jewish literary and entertainment worlds will blossom during this period of Jew-hatred. I want more Jewish fiction based on Jewish worldviews, histories and spirituality. Why must we drown our children in the Anglo-Celtic (ish) universe of Harry Potter? Can't we create captivating children's fiction based on the folklore of our Bubbies, Zadies, Saftas and Sabas? I am reading "Babylon" by Michelle Cameron; a fascinating historical novel about Judean captivity by the Babylonians after those ancient Jew-haters destroyed our Temple and exiled us from the Holy Land. Here, amid the trials and triumphs of various Judean characters we see faith in the "nameless G-d" slowly rekindled and new rituals replacing those dependent on the Temple's existence. I haven't finished the book, but I'm having a hard time putting it down. Bottom line: who cares what today's Jew-haters think of us? Remember, we are the original "People of the Book". And we will be around creating literature and other wonders long after they, like the Babylonians, have ended up in the dustbin of history.

I could not agree more. Before October 7th, I was working on an inter-generational novel about two Jewish families and their experiences in the 20th century that incorporates Jewish ideas and mysticism into the history as well. I had to take a break from it to start The Zionist Voice, but I publish some stand alone pieces from it from time to time.

Ted Goldstein calls on antisemitic writers to also boycott his Jewish work. How cool is that? I'm not a literary writer but I publish scientific literature and I call on all researchers who hate Jews to boycott my papers. Please don't cite them even if they are highly relevant to your research. I give you my Google Scholar page so you know what to avoid: https://scholar.google.ca/citations?hl=en&user=PYbH6YkAAAAJ&view_op=list_works&sortby=pubdate

Am Yisrael Chai! Let's start a "Boycott My (Jewish) Work" Movement. Maybe throw the word Zionist into the parentheses too just to drive them absolutely nuts.

In May of 1959 Jonas Salk visited Israel as the guest of David Ben Gurion and delivered lectures at Hebrew University. Anti-Zionist scientists might as well boycott the polio vaccine. Good luck conducting research from an “iron lung,” Losers.

Describing the bible as the greatest Zionist book ever written shows great insight. Yet it has been there before us all along.

Modern anti semitism really recycled Soviet anti Zionism one of their many anti semitic mythos- if you write out a standard clearly and assign blame to Israel using the most contorted set of assumptions also ascribing intent that doesn’t line up with actions but lets say this is all true - you’ll still find more egregious examples past and present and these are ignored. It’s a comfort to small minded people to create a bogeyman and they of course don’t choose China they’re not that dumb. They choose Israel bc despite its military capability it’s no China. It’s surrounded by many hostile nations. Iran is at proxy war w Israel (and we still see headlines like “Irans path to peace” and these are journalists who aren’t high) it’s also a very small country population and geography wise. It’s a tiny little country that is responsible for all the world’s ills. In order to live that dark fantasy Hamas is not Hamas. Palestinian civilians have no agency. No one is an arsonist looter torturer gang rapist. They don’t throw political opponents off buildings or hang gay people. The discourse has become so elders of Zion you can accuse Israel of doing anything and everything Hamas does. I think people are honest and morally deranged enough that you’ll see and feel and hear an instinctive gut hatred the one we lament still existing in America even though it’s not everywhere always or anything close but it’s brewing on Jews. If you ask the boycotter a hypothetical what if Hamas did x and really become grotesque the reply will be some scripted brainwashed shallow primal crocodilian defense response where Israel needs to be eaten whole. It’s not a boycott. Because it’s not applied with any standard that makes sense. It’s a Kristalnacht. You are a brave person in a tragic world.

In my opinion, the day will come when all nonsense about boycotting Israel will be proven ridiculous. Those so-called writers, along with many countries and their leaders, will find that we are right and terrorism is wrong. I hope that happens in my life time. I have often suggested to our haters that they research what Jews and Israel have given the world, and a second column to list what the so-called Palestinians/Hamas/Hezbollah/Qatar/Iran, etc. have given humanity. I hope there are still some intelligent people, including authors out there!!

Well said and if I am honest! It has inspired me to subscribe! This despite the fact that I don’t agree with everything you share and also because I made a decision to unsubscribe from all of the other Substack writers I supported, because of budget! This kind of courage deserves my support!

Good for you Mr. Goldstein! Nothing but the utmost respect for those, Jews and especially non-Jews, who stand up and do what they can in fighting against antisemitism and the State of Israel. All the best wishes to you for happiness, health and success.

Hatzlacha! With more closeted Writers like you taking off the gloves to really tussle - 'The We' shall overcome our weaknesses of our over exercised intellects and recalibrate our weapons of mass influence to conquer our individual Self and at least in theory automatically destruct the heinous others of ill repute while at the same time finding our ways back to our Sources. Congratulations on your essay!!!!
