Progressives have officially gone off the deep end.
The Israel-Hamas war is the most recent proliferation of ridiculous "progressive" reactions, which go against every grain of justice, rationale, intellectual honesty, and human decency.

The Israel-Hamas war is the most recent proliferation of absurd “progressive” reactions, which go against every grain of justice, rationale, intellectual honesty, and human decency.
For example, people in Israel were massacred by Palestinian terrorists as part of a pogrom on October 7th, 2023 — yet since then, you haven’t seen Jews parading the streets and calling for violence against Palestinians or Arab countries, or storming airports looking to lynch Muslims. More than 1,000 Jews were massacred, others kidnapped, and it’s the Jews around the world who are feeling unsafe.
When the United Nations acts like a patented mouthpiece for Arab states and their paid-off or equally antisemitic sympathizers, “progressives” love the organization. When the UN says something in favor of Israel, it is a morally bankrupt entity that should be defunded. Which one is it exactly?
People are throwing around accusations of “war crimes” by Israel as if war is suddenly supposed to be kind, gentle, and pleasant. I don’t think most people in Israel are advocating for indiscriminately killing civilians (the way Palestinian terror groups do business). But c’mon now, war is war. You don’t get to butcher our people and then lecture us about “proportionality” and “restraint” when we respond.
Speaking of war crimes, more than 8,000 rockets have been indiscriminately fired at Israel since the start of this war. In other words, that’s more than 8,000 war crimes committed by folks who claim to represent the Palestinians. But Israel appears to be the only side being accused of war crimes.
“From the River to the Sea” is the new “Heil Hitler,” only that the former waxes much more poetically. When asked what are the names of said river and said sea, most people have no idea.
People who so proudly chant, “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free!” pretend like we don’t know what this actually means: Palestinian and Jewish nationalism are mutually incompatible, which means the two-state solution is not an option. That’s fine. Israel is already a state, Palestine isn’t. Sucks for them.
It is no surprise that the majority of the countries which support Israel are the ones that champion democracy, freedom of speech, equity, diversity, and progressive values. It is also no surprise that the countries which support Hamas do not.
People now seem afraid that Gaza will be occupied by Israel. Those same people were already saying that Gaza was occupied by Israel.
It’s true that more Palestinians have been killed than Israelis. It’s also true that more Russians than Ukrainians have been killed, and more Germans were killed than Americans during World War II. Yet few people can identify the pattern here.
There are American hostages, British hostages, French hostages, Thai hostages, Russian hostages — and people are marching, not in support of the hostages, but in support of the hostage-takers.
So many folks claim that Palestinian terrorists are surely treating the hostages so well. What part of “terrorists” do they not understand?
A few Jews are claiming to be “anti-Zionist,” saying that Zionism is a betrayal of Jews’ historical struggle against persecution. Mind you, this is like an African-American person proclaiming, “I’m an anti-Africa African American. Africa is a betrayal of our historical struggle against persecution.”
Virtues like “freedom of speech” and “peaceful protest” are being used to disrupt traffic, float balloons that could crash planes, vandalize bookstores and public libraries, fire guns at schools, and assault people who video record their public antisemitic activities. And the police say they are too scared to enforce the laws. Fantastic.
Palestinian terrorists broke a ceasefire on October 7th when they attacked Israel in the most sadistic, barbaric ways the modern world has ever seen. Now they and their supporters want a ceasefire. That’s not how it works.
Certain “progressive” politicians across the world are using this situation to bolster their humanitarian profiles. One politician said she met with families of the hostages, then bragged about it on Twitter to “promote a ceasefire” that would likely result in the death of most or all of the hostages. What great humanitarian work.
Jews aren’t mad that people are advocating for Palestinian freedom and safety. We are mad at their hypocrisy. We are mad that, after our deadliest day since the Holocaust, we have once again been excluded from their activism. Selective outrage is kind of annoying.
If Hitler was alive today, he would support the Palestinians’ virulent, institutionalized antisemitism. For those who do not support Israel, they are in good company.
For Jews who are saying this war is “not in my name,” they are absolutely correct. This war has nothing to do with you. Imagine how self-centered you have to be to think that something which is happening thousands of kilometers away from you has anything to do with you.
South Africa decided to bring a genocide lawsuit against Israel at the International Court of Justice, which was welcomed by “progressives” across the world. Mind you, in South Africa a person is assaulted every two minutes, a woman is raped every 12 minutes, and a person is murdered every 19 minutes. As a matter of fact, five of the 20 most dangerous cities across the world are in South Africa.
People who have an obsessive preoccupation with their and other people’s pronouns, are so intoxicated by the “pro-Palestinian” hoopla, they’ve become blinded to the reality that, for the vast majority of them, their pronouns in the Palestinian territories would be “was” and “were.”
The same people who advocate for “decolonization” quite readily overlook the Arabs’ colonization of the Levant — proving that Israel is, in fact, the greatest decolonization project on planet Earth.
“Palestine” is the only country in the world that never existed before its so-called occupation. Therefore, the Palestinians have the weakest case among all the world’s conflicts. Yet, because their opponents are the world’s villains — the Jews — the Palestinians have a distinct advantage over every other conflict in the world.
It seems that what the Palestinians call “self-determination” is really just a ploy to rid the Middle East of Jews and, in the meantime, scapegoat the Jews for their long list of insufficiencies, unfortunate miscalculations, and pathetic infighting. But sure, go on and tell us how poor, innocent, and uninvolved the Palestinians are.
There’s a massive disconnect between what many people in the West think the Palestinian cause is (liberation, human rights) and what many Palestinians think the Palestinian cause is (religious and ethnic revenge for losing the 1948 Israeli-Arab War despite five Arab countries attacking the Jews in an obvious case of attempted genocide). But Greta Thunberg, the climate quasi-activist who’s suddenly morphed into a diehard pro-Palestine champion, is all for it as long as it involves recycling: start a war, lose, whine about it, rinse and repeat.
It is odd how fundamentalist Islam encourages Muslims to kill Jews. And I get it, most Muslims are probably peaceful. But that’s not the point. If there are one billion Muslims in the world, and let’s say 90 percent of them are peaceful, that means 100 million Muslims want to butcher Jews in the name of Islam. That isn’t an exaggeration, or paranoia. That is math.
In 2022, Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine and began occupying more of the country, and European countries opened their door to Ukrainian residents. In 2023, after thousands of Palestinians invaded Israel and Gaza became a war zone, not a single one of the 22 Arab countries and 49 Muslim countries were willing to give shelter to even one Palestinian.
People are blaming Israelis for “living on stolen land” while “living on stolen land” their entire lives.
Those who condemn war at all costs are the same people who don’t realize that a ceasefire would, for the time being, allow Palestinian terrorists to regroup and reload, enabling them to commit more unimaginable war crimes against both innocent Palestinians and Israelis.
There’s a significant group of people who have never been to Israel or the Palestinian territories, yet who think they know way more about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict than people and their families who’ve been living it firsthand for more than 75 years.
Professors are scolded and even fired for rehashing mainstream traditional views, but revered when they openly side with the “victims” in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
The Palestinians have not been permanently displaced from their homes since 1967, when there were around a million Palestinian refugees. Today, there are some seven million Palestinian refugees. Math has never been my forte, but something feels off here.
The same people who have called to “defund the police” are so up in arms about countries withholding financial aid from an organization, the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees, which employs more than a thousand terrorists.
It has been 117 days since more than 240 people from several countries were kidnapped by Palestinian terrorists, yet the head of the UN has done next to nothing to get them released. Meanwhile, when countries announce they are pausing their contributions to the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees, he ensured that an inquiry into accusations that the agency’s staff took part in Hamas’ October 7th massacre “will be done swiftly and as efficiently as possible.”
The New York Times found the gall to publish an article by Gaza City’s mayor, an official appointed by Hamas, the world’s fifth-most active terror organization. This is the same newspaper that is mostly read in California, New York, Washington, Illinois, and Virginia — you know, the most “progressive” states in the U.S.
“Progressives” blame “the system” for everything — including terrorism. That’s right, at universities, students are taught that terrorism is not the problem, rather “the systems they oppose are terrorist.”1 Of course, it is easy to sit in a classroom thousands of kilometers from the Middle East and support cultural relativism, when you haven’t been gang-raped at a music festival by men shouting, “Allah is the greatest!” But sure, one man’s freedom fighter is another man’s terrorist.
China herds innocent Uyghurs into internment camps, Syria drops sarin gas on its own people, Iran hangs homosexuals, and Qatar practices modern-day slavery. Yet only the existence of Israel is up for debate.
People are trying to raise millions of dollars for civilians in Gaza, including Ella Emhoff, the stepdaughter of U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris. Ella wrote that the campaign was “supporting urgent relief for Gaza’s children” and attached the appeal to her Instagram page which has 315,000 followers.2 Then it came out that Hamas gets $8 million to $12 million per month from charities posing as humanitarian organizations, to circumvent international sanctions.3
For weeks, media outlets have been retracting their libelous reporting about Israel, and people have been deleting their social media posts riddled with antisemitism. Don’t you wish we Jews were better at, as people have accused us of doing for decades, controlling the media?
