Islam IS able to be reformed and look no further than the United Arab Emirates and Dubai. They de-radicalized their populations and do not allow the jihad-Islam to be taught. It is working beautifully, and this peaceful, co-existing version of Islam is also being pushed into Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Jordan and other Arab countries that want to join the modern era instead of living like they did 1400 years ago. ALSO--The United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Egypt have also banned the Muslim Brotherhood AND Al Jazeera (the popular "news outlet" funded by terrorist regimes, with an English version being pumped into Western Countries.) THEY HAVE ALSO BANNED pro-terror marches (also known as pro-Palestine marches). And they are also BANNING the teaching of Jew Hate and hate toward any other religion. Allow me some thoughts / questions: have they banned the MB because they have disawowed their Islamic beliefs or because they feel that their authoritarian / monarchical rule may be threatened by them? How, when and where have fundamental rights of women been given in these countries as a sign to reform Islam? Why does the Egyptian military use Israel as their favourite target enemy in military drills? You are correct about the West still allowing the MB to thrive, but I think I would be very careful with stating that Islam is now reformed and willing to co-exist. There are many more ulterior motives at work I think.
I did not say that Islam is now reformed, but that it HAS been reformed in the UAE, and it is MOVING IN THAT DIRECTION in Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Jordan and other moderate Arab states. It will take some time, because, like in America, there is a sharp political divide in the moderate Arab states: a large part of their populations wants to join the New Middle East plans, and another large part of their populations are still jihadist/Islamists who support Iran's evil leaders and goals. So, keeping the radicals from rioting, getting them to evolve with the "new" plans, means walking a tightrope and introducing reforms gradually. Just like in America, where you see lots of politicians giving lip-service and "supporting" the anti-Israel/Jew hating populations, you also see that in the moderate Arab countries. The leaders of those Arab countries, however, are currently on the side of reforming and suppressing the jihadist mentality. It will take time, and eventually, the leaders will have to directly confront their jihadists, possibly involving arrests and even harsher punishments in order to drag their countries out of the Middle Ages and into the 21st century. But right now, as they are defending themselves against Iran's missiles, they simply cannot directly go after their radical populations. We need to let it unfold and hope that the pro-New Middle East leaders don't fall to radical leaders, which will make it harder on the plans.

We've all noticed that American presidents keep yanking Israel back from decisive victories, keep preserving Israel's enemies to fight Israel at a later date, keep forcing Israel into premature ceasefires so "negotiations" can start, negotiations in which Israel gives back the conquered buffer zone it just paid for in blood in response to previous attacks. We hear analyses that the West just doesn't understand fanatical Islam's commitment to antisemitism and killing all the Jews, doesn't realize that the West/businessmen/leisure society/consumerists/short-term oriented politicians are misreading the tactics of commited jihadists and their state sponsors.
